The boy wonder of tourism should
be asked how this airport deal will
benefit St.Lucians when everyone
who buys a ticket is now paying an
extra 35 dollar tax. Half a billion
dollars will be put in the hands of
men like Mondesir,Bruce Tucker(Bousquat),Fredricks etc. This
money is to spent on a dubious project when this goverment can"t provides its people with water.
Mr. Chastenet whenever did a quadroon, or mulatto from plantation stock ever had the interest of the St. Lucia black population besides as buyers for the predatory mercantile quadroon and mulatto businesses they set up?
Tell me, how can a quadroon or mulatto ever represent a black person when that quadroon or mulatto or the family business has only been in the business of providing exploitative low-pay and low-level jobs in mainly family businesses? How many blacks have risen to become store manager in those family businesses?
Why now do you want to even pretend that anything has changed, or there is a change of heart by these quadroons and mulattoes regarding the 90 percent black population since the beginning of slavery?
What was the picture of Butch Stewart doing in the background other than being the financier of a takeover of tourism in St. Lucia for his all-inclusive business? Was it a photoshop? 'Tell me who your friends are, and I will tell you who you are.'
And what has ordinary black people gained from your ministry that boasts responsibility for GDP growth, but our unemployment still remains at over 20 percent and poverty still growing and standing at 40 percent today?
Now boy wonder of tourism, how come you did not know the rules of Caribbean Civil Aviation but worked so long for Air Jamaica? Is this one of the reasons why the airline flopped? Was your job s sinecure so much so that no headhunter has asked you to join any other major airline because you have no expertise that is marketable or useful?

Sir,can you tell me one thing that
that this genius has done that has
advanced tourism.Was it his plan to
make St. lucia a "boxing mecca" or
have I overlooked some other brilliant scheme. He and his pals
have every person flying into
St.Lucia paying and extra 35 dollars on a dubious venture.
New York is in a heat wave. Which St. Lucian overseas who is generally hated by those leaving at home, will come out in this heat to hear this idiot sing for his supper for a seat in Soufriere. That idiot does not understand that the constituency is Soufriere and not Brooklyn?
If I have any relative who votes for UWP, I will disown that person. I will discourage others from sending them barrels or money from the US. It is time to end backwardness in St. Lucia.
In the direction the U.S. is heading, don't be surprise that someone from St.Lucia could, in the near future, be sending you barrels; UWP or Labour.
