WOW! Lorne Theophilus is definitely bringing this seat home to the St. Lucia Labour Party. I will be the first to admit that I was a skeptic until I saw the launching on Sunday. In my opinion, there were three simple things that made this a momentous occasion; AN EVENT TO REMEMBER. The first was when Mr. George Theophilus eloquently shared with us the matrilineal and patrilineal descent of their family in the Choiseul community. The second was when Lorne came to the podium full of hope and vitality and described himself as a man with imperfections. The third was when Lorne’s wife and children joined him on stage. For me, that was a very telling and profound moment. This young man stood before god, his family, the people of Choiseul, the entire country and admitted that he had made mistakes, regretted these mistakes, learned from his mistakes and was ready to serve his country. My fellow St. Lucians, I will not be the one to throw the first stone. Rather, I say to Lorne WELL DONE MY BROTHER! BRAVO!!!!

@above, wait till, as you termed it, "a jackass" starts kicking arse when elections are called and due...

I hope you will not be in the "jackass'" way...otherwise, you kick is assured.

SLP is yet to learn that threatics don't win elections. They are embarking on the same courses again and I fear they are going to be dissappointed. Already they are circulating unrealiable polls-mem margie are!

My fellow St. Lucians, if you really doubt that the St. Lucia Labour Party will form the next government, go to the website “The St. Lucian Patriot”

758now.blogspot.com

I guarantee you will realize that change is coming to St. Lucia.

Anonymous said...

You mean a 50 percent change to benifit only a few in the SLP? right?

Isn't this the same darmn change that Kenny promised last time? Everyone should be skiptical of the slp when they use the word "change".

Papishow----total change or no change at all.

Oh how I love those "Chicken & Rum" campaign launches. Of course there would be a huge turn-out....nice music playing to get your little grind on a woman or jump up and wave your flag like it's carnival all over again. And as for the speeches..I could tell exactly before they come to the stage to speak what's its gonna be about.."bash the competitor, and give us the unrealistic HOPE of a positive change...blah blah blah"

It's sad to see so many people still indulge in those party/block campaigns, and approaching the situation seriously as the people in St.Lucia are suffering and need the issues addressed appropriately.

What you get when you mix red and yellow ? SHIT brown !

I agree. The SLP can bring no change that it could not bring 15 years ago. We keep moving from the fire into the frying pan. We all as lucians must be weary of men carrying placards for change. By the way, what are we change too. That same Kenny who brought as Rocahsell and oil fiasco, Helenites gate-and much more is still head of the SLP.

Does he beleive that he is in any position to talk about bringing change?

Screw that better of two evils nonsence. St Lucia as someone so rightly said need a 100 change not 50 something percent change.

Looshens watch your rear!
Kenny would like to bite it off!

I wish that the voice didnt have the anonymous option so we would get to know some of these fakes who cannot stand up for their statements.I am not surprised that Lorne is being attacked by the UWP.Lorne admitted that he isn't perfect, something that the current PM cannot allude to.He that is without sin cast the first stone.Furthermore, Lorne never once attacked Rufus, his only statement with regards to Rufus was;which ever of the persons (Rufus,Tucker,Bruce,Mr Smith,JMD)runs against him will be defeated. When they come with their "marjie",tell them to "sortie la"

The party of minstrel, entertainers and jokers now makes its grand entrance on horseback! What's next? Clowns?

It's good that Lorne have not completely given up on his UWP past-Once a flambeau always a flambeau.

Thank God I not from Choiseul.
U mean the only option i would have is to vote for an accused rapist and an accused thief. Jeeze. Feel sorry for d people down in that part of lucia. my prayers are with all u.

What has Choiseul done that it cannot seem to bring up people with a 'clean' slate as representatives? Lorne is better but ....

What a 'damaged goods' representative for a family which believes that it has some kind of monopoly for creating a dynasty for the area!

Ah..Ah...Horseback riding?
Are we returning to the era of colonialism?

Hail to the "King"...

Aben...people in Choiseul finish if mate win.

For sometime now, Choiseul has not been able to put up a candidate of class to represent that constituency. 'Damaged goods' on both sides. People have to select the least dirtiest shirt.

My fellow lucians Lets think positive, It is the future of our beloved country,
The question is are you better off than you were five years ago.
Where has st lucia gone at the caribbean as well as internaional level.
Think this through, Because we sometime found ourselves get carried away by negativism.
Look at the present leader, Has st lucia fare well under him, How about the other leaders and their team.
Who will best articulate a message for this time to lead st lucia that other caribbean islands will want to emulate.
Amessage that will send a strong appeal to the international world that st lucia is not what it was under king.
Look at the leaders and their team as to who will lead st lucia.and stop this petty nonsence about lorne,
In looking at the parties involve in my estimation the slp has the more qualification to lead st lucia from its stupor and create jobs.[ no kidding]

Anonymous said...

anonymous before I agree with you....there is no comparison between King and Kenny NONE ZERO NADA. Our country has taking a plunge and we have become the laughing stork of the region and internationally. But whats worse is that Saint Lucia has the higest level of university graduates in the region and it speaks volumes about us that intelligent people would elect the current bunch to political office. Remember we can no longer blame the banana farmers for being ignorant and making a decision like that ( our babana farmers have dwindled to a mere 500 if so many). Its embarassing when those who support the UWP are so embarassed by their leaders that they soothe their pain by saying "all of them are the same" how pathetic!!!!. On the issue of Lorne being led in on a horse; it is traditional and inexpensive........remember when Compton came in on a helicopter? at a considerable cost to taxpayers? Good spectacle that was indeed!!!!

We have been blessed amidst our sitution that we have persons who has gone out to educate themselves and are able to lead.
Education Matters, Especially in this society of ours.
Gone were those days When we had to rely sorely on radio news.
We now live in an age of information and technolgy.and our people are previledge with internet and computer that shares information so we can't be bammboozoa no more
Therefore our people should use this opportunity to Make themselves and their country better.
Under compton Education was not push enough so that today we would have been ahead of the 8 ball and the foolishness some talk about they would have cease.
Maybe some need to go to the outside world.
Do we care about ourself only or do we care about others who cannot make ends meet. who are out there suffering.
Bob marley in one of his songs said WHO FEELS IT KNOWS IT and if you have feel it like others.
YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARDS PEOPLE AND YOUR COUNTRY WILL BE DIFFERENT< AND DON"T ALLOW THOSE GOOD FOR NOTHING MISSLEADERS IN THE UWP TO FOOL US>

Keep spinning your St. Lucian wheels in mud. The narcissistic posers like Kenny and Lorne that we offer up as the saviors of St. Lucian society are the perfect examples of the failures who have been leading our countries for the past 50 years.

St. Lucia is not ready for true change. We get our liberal mendicancy attitude from the University of the West Indies graduates that become politicians and even the University graduates who come from the liberal left collages in the UK or USA.

Even an "uneducated" Stephenson King is fully influenced by the American and local leftist leaning media who have all sheparded our downfall as a nation.

We continue to attack with legislation, laws and our personal behaviour - the Judeo Christian heritage that advanced nations like the USA and UK before they themselves began to attack this heritage.

Look at the riots in the UK. The young mostly black men and women who rioted were doing it out of pure pleasure and malice. These children of the mendicancy class produced by 60 years of liberal dogma have no moral ( Christian) compass to make them susceptible to guilt or shame.
As a writer in the UK said:

"If you live a normal life of absolute futility, which we can assume most of this week’s rioters do, excitement of any kind is welcome.
Most have no jobs to go to or exams they might pass. They know no family role models, for most live in homes in which the father is unemployed, or from which he has decamped. ( AS IN ST. LUCIA)
They are illiterate and innumerate, beyond maybe some dexterity with computer games and BlackBerries. (AS IN ST. LUCIA)
They are essentially wild beasts. I use that phrase advisedly, because it seems appropriate to young people bereft of the discipline that might make them employable; of the conscience that distinguishes between right and wrong. ( as in the persons who populate Parliament)

They respond only to instinctive animal impulses — to eat and drink, have sex, seize or destroy the accessible property of others.

Their behaviour on the streets resembled that of the polar bear which attacked a Norwegian tourist camp last week. They were doing what came naturally and, unlike the bear, no one even shot them for it.
A former London police chief spoke a few years ago about the ‘feral children’ on his patch — another way of describing the same reality."

This is no different than the marijuana smoking, lazy incompetents that we are also producing in the Caribbean and St. Lucia thanks to the same liberal policies of successive SLP and UWP Governments.
Unfortunately 90% of our people adhere to these "lack of" values.
Come back here 5 years hense and you all will be talking about the same problems - only worst.

Could you imagine after they bussed so many people in on Sunday, word on the ground is that Lorne have a lot of work to do?

You are right most people from Castries are from Choiseul or have roots in Choiseul, like me so. So it was no problem, we were just bused back home. You check it.

Anonymous said...

LOL

10 bussed in-----but how many votes will Lorne be be getting?

Isn't that a waste of time. You see, SLP can never know their real strength when so many of these bussed in people don't live in that locality.

Lorne got a crowd but guess what? It is the same crowd that follows the SLP every sunday.

Anonymous said...

I agree a different crowd follow the incompetent UWP government every Sunday. You are so confident tell King elections, I hope he does not go over 5 yrs. You think anybody with sense wil ever vote for King, Guy Joseph, Tucker, Ass in Jame, Eassy Cal, Ass ta Fan, Man day Zee, Spida, Guy Mayer, Dodddy, Greddy Joe, Kale Cotsion, Pain et Painier, etc, etc. Yone par vo lot. These guys have the country in a mess.

Anonymous said...

I am no supporter of King but does King look like he is worried to you?

Learn that: On your way of cruising to victory just make sure its not a premature celebration like the last time.

Anonymous said...

What you talking about? De puppet prime minister,is duncie. Up to now, you see he cannot count to 21 yet. This puppet only listens to his master's voice, which that of the GOON-MASTER which is sitting in the Cabinet with him, RF. Man, the puppet does not even know or care whether Good Friday falls on Easter Sunday.

Anonymous said...

If you were in King place, would you be worried as an uneducated man who was handed the top position in the country on silver platter by a foriegner? And within 4 yrs has become a millioner from the Taiwanese and else where. Travel when you want to the royal wedding etc. Talking about celebration, has the poor people in this country celebrated anything since UWP has been in office? You must stop concentrating on party, because none of the party leaders are feeling the pain. Can you name anything that was gained by the poor people of this country since King became PM?

Anonymous said...

Wasn't or isn't Kenny an educated man?

Didn't he run the country to the ground with high unemployment, crime, Helen air, Helen gate, Rochamel and sleek oil deal?

How can anyone in good conscience seek to reparkage a two time educated loser?

St Lucia needs change, total change, not Kenny's narrow version of change!

We can't afford to return to Kennyomics---

Not again, not now, not ever!!!

ok UWPS WE ALL SEE BY NOW YOU GUYS REALLY NOT HAPPY WITH THE TURN OUT ON SUNDAY OF LORNE LAUNCHING, STOP EATING YOUR HEARTS OUT...FORGET THE LAUNCHING AND ASK YOUR SELF THE MANY QUESTION THAT WILL TAKE THIS COUNTRY OUT OF THIS MESS....(1)DO WE NEED A REPRESENTATIVE WITH A CELL NUMBER?...DO WE NEED OTHERS WHO THINK THEY ABOVE THE LAW TELLING THE POLICE HOW TO DO THEIR JOB?... HOW ABOUT THE OVERNIGHT MILLIONAIRS MINISTERS BLEEDING THE COUNTRY WITH THEIR GREED... AT THE POOR COUNTRY EXPENSE...CAN THIS COUNTRY SURVIVE ANOTHER FIVE YEARS WITH THESE CLASSLESS CORRUPT GREEDY JOKERS?...

I agree we cannot return to Kenny, but tell us who will we return to? We all know Kenny made mistakes but names one educated world leader who did not make mistakes. I could count 6 mistakes you listed that Kenny made in 9 yrs. But if I have to list or count the amount of mistakes, scandals and corruption that King and his incompetent crooks have commited in almost 5 yrs, there will not be enough space on this blog for it. And you want to make believe, Kenny run the country to the ground when he made the country into a billion dollar economy. Who run the country into the ground be honest? Show me one thing positive that is going on in St Lucia today? Are we better off in anyway today than when Kenny was in office? How did the oil deal took St Lucia to the ground? If Kenny had gotten oil in St Lucia, do you believe we would not have been better in St Lucia, with all your nonesense talk? Have you not sit down and think of how would have St Lucia been today if Kenny did not serve that 9 yrs in office. Well I will tell you we would been the laughing stock of the caribbean. All our institutions were like pig pens, our prison, hospitals, police stations, playing fields, fire stations, health centers, our roads, the country was dirty and smelling. Kenny brought in many new hotel. We did not have enough primary school places muchless high school places for our children. Kenny had to take care of all of that. People like you was not satisfied so you'll voted for a dying foriegner and a bunch of incompetent, semi literate corrupt crooks to put back the country in the mess it once was under the UWP. People like could stay with your King, but the majority of the sensable people of the country will return Kenny to clean the mess created by your UWP incompetence left onthe country. Kenny clean it up the first time, he will have enough strenght to do it this time again.

Jokers? You call these goons jokers? You call these liars, jokers? You call jailbirds and those whose university level education is part US convict and jail cell incarceration? Are there only so-called 'damaged goods' that can represent Choiseul? Have all the good people fled the area?

Anonymous said...

This is the first time in the history of St Lucia or the caribbean that three (3) ministers were actually arrested by the police for breaking the law, and people want tell me about King and his croneys. Apart from that another one was found guilty in the high court for stealing from his the same government we elected him to serve on, with yet another one coming to court to lie for him. Another one again took his government to court. After all that, which is not even a quarter of their scandals, I want to know how the Uthey cWP will have the adacity to face the electrate to ask them to vote for them again. These fellows really boldface if could do that.

The reaction from the Flambeaus come as no surprise to me. they are so predictable. They are upset at the turnout and especially now they know that Choisuel is no longer theirs.Furthermore, they have no arguments so they resort to character assassination like what their puppet master (Rick) have been involved in since Labour went into opposition.Sing with me.....better dayssssssssss are comingggggggg.

The turnout on Sunday was testament that character assassination did not work and will not work in this election.Did Kenny make mistakes?Definitely.but St Lucia was a nation to be envied in the caribbean.National Stadium,West coast road,BCG,Carpack,Secondary Schools,NCF,Unversal Secondary Education,Implementation of Universal Healthcare,East coast road commencement, scholarships to attend university, bank guarantees,STEP,PROUD,Unemployment from 23% down to 13%,.Imagine how beautiful this country would have been had Labour been in office to continue these achievements

Character assasination???? Sak way Hipoquit--- Who first called Lorne all the names and then embraced him because he was willing to put on a red shirt. Who called Vaungn Lewis all the name and then embrace him because he was willing to put on a red shirt.

SLP is a double standard party. Once a person join them--all the so called sins of that person is forgiven.

What a load of hose pop--for a party...

Change is not about voting SLP--Change is about voting something totally new...not the same old set of pretenders.

Anonymous said...

The back and forth between UWPs and SLP is instructive.
Neither wants to acknowledge the sins of the other.
Neither set of partisan party hacks can enumerate policies that worked or policies in the future that will succeed.
i for example can say that whichever party is in power they will borrow $500 million between 2012 and 2014 to "prime pump" the economy all the time making sure contracts go to their cronies so that money can come back to them as political favours.

The underclass of illiterate misdirected youth copying the members of the African American underclass , will increase in St. Lucia as will the murders and crime.

The political overlords will continue to act as if they have all the answers to our problems even as they continue to fill their own pockets.

There is a 50% chance that a murder or some disaster will upend our tourism industry and further degrade our lives and the politicians will have no answers.

Kenny was a managerial, and financial failure who corrupted the level of civil discourse in St. Lucia with his sly personality..

King has overseen a currupt ammoral government.

Take your pick St. Lucia. It really does not matter.

Why has so few people called for a new party? Why has so few people joined ONE or LPM? Isn't it because St. Lucians are a basically shameless corrupt to the bone people?

Seat on your high stool, don't do your work, write and talk crap, and expect people are going to vote for a 3 rd party. A third party stands a chance but with people who are serious and are prepared to walk the walk and talk the talk.

Tell me where will you get that totally new change you talking about? That is how politics works, you criticize your opposite. SLP did not tell a lie about Vaugh they said he was always drunk, which was totally true. SLP is not the only party with people who have changed party, you'll hero Compton began as SLP and who criticize SLP more than him? So what's your point. The bottom line is, you can jump high you can jump low, UWP has the country in a mess and Kenny and the competent SLP is coming back to fix it. If you had any love for St Lucia and you wanted us to move forword, you would have supported the best we have available for now to lead us. Double standard is when the UWP promised us so many things and they have not achieved none in 5 yrs. That is double standard. Where are the 7000 jobs? Where is the reduction of crime? Where is the oil refinery? Where is the reduction of the prices of goods? Where is the food basket? Where is the banana industry they promise to restore? Where are all the hotels they promised? Where is the port at Cul de Sac? Where is the upliftment of Castries port? Where is the tunnel? You want me to go on.................

What I cannot understand is, these so called UWPeeeeees, can remember everything Kenny did 15 yrs ago. I will not underestimate Rufus if i were the labour party and as an independent the slate the slp has put before me has a lot to be desired based on what they have had before, hence the reason i think they might get a political gopwel again.

Some St Lucians are sick or they just want to write before they think. How can one say base on the SLP slate they will loss the election. A blind and dumb man will see the SLP slate is by far superior to the UWP slate. The UWP has the country in mess for nearly five yrs, they have not performed or achieve anything of significance in the country. The person even mention Tennyson how he lost. They fail to realize this is another election and St Lucians will no make a mistake twice.

STILL WORKING ON THE RIGHT NAME TO CALL THEM.. HOW CAN WE EVER FORGET THE LAST FIVE YEARS!!!!!!!!!! ST LUCIA DESERVE THE BEST..

Anonymous said...

That may be SLP's best collection available for this election. But, this is not the best available, given the wealth and breadth of talent St. Lucia has in the diaspora. This is not the best slate that can be made available to solve country's problems.

We will need the injection of some independent candidates or some from other parties in the parliament or brought in via the senate. The ENTIRE UWP government and cabinet is guilty of one type of felony or other. The fact that they are NOT in a jail cell, some know the colours of the walls very well, is simply because they ARE now the government.

SLP had better think twice about commissions of inquiry. They DON'T put the criminals in jail. It is a waste of BOTH time and money.

The 'burning question is still why can't Choiseul put up candidates, where the electorate does not have to choose the least dirtiest shirt? All of them are dirty. What a poor choice.

No one lives forever. Foreigner Compton was the master of expedience. What a poor leader he was. Some say he was a good politician. Not the same thing, at all. He chose to bring in two criminally-minded politicians into his party and government. Today, and for a very very very long time, ALL St. Lucians will pay for what he considered was politically convenient.

I have always maintained Kenny is narcissistic. Read a study below in which comments are added.

NARCISSISTS

They may be charming, confident and climb the job ladder with ease, but when they reach the top, narcissists are actually not very good at their roles.(mismanagement, cost overuns, inability to identify societal problems and how to deal with them, promoting bile and hatred between factions in St. Lucian)society

Such people are often too self-obsessed to do their jobs properly, according to a study.

Those who love themselves and have vast self-confidence often impress others with their self-belief, dominance and authority, leading them to climb the career ladder effortlessly. (Party hacks in particular are easily fooled)

However, scientists have discovered that while narcissists are convincing leaders, they are so consumed by their own brilliance that it actually cripples their creativity and often causes them to make bad decisions. (rochamel ,etc)

They like to squirrel away information from their colleagues and are too focused on themselves to allow others to shine in the workplace, researchers said. (Typical Kenny in Cabinet which is why even Cabinet members did not know about rochamel or Fenwell or the oil deal)

It also prevents proper interaction with colleagues who often vastly overestimate the ability of their overconfident bosses. (that is what happened in Cabinet where he kept them all in check particularly nuts like Greaves)

Discussing how narcissists can flourish in politics and even lead governments in spite of their incompetence, the researcher added: 'Narcissists are very convincing.

'They do tend to be picked as leaders. There's the danger - that people (the masses) can be so wrong based on how others project themselves.

@57 he more than demonstrated the DOWNSIDE of that fatal character flaw in high school and at teachers' college.

You are perfectly on target when you examined the financial setbacks to our finances with his money-based deals. Yet, the SLP fails to acknowledge that the man may be good in other areas BUT NOT FINANCE!

The poor chap believes that he is good in everything because he theoretically knows SOME aspects of the law. Repeatedly, when he has tried to use the law alone to govern, it has produced few lasting results ... even when he wins the cases!

The man believes in Kenny the Almighty, so much so, that he has convinced himself to conceive of no other person being capable of leading the party. Look at what he did with the term limits issue. A very progressive measure was sacrificed on the alter of narcisssism.

Yes. The party leader need not be the PM or the minister of finance. There is no law saying that. Yet, because of the poor record of both the UWP and the SLP, party members have not had the expected education about the mechanics and the instruments of good governance to appreciate these basic truths.

Party members, to the delight and satisfaction, through ignorance and myopia, and perhaps by the deliberate machinations and design of existing leaders, are being continuously conditioned to become contented unquestioning followers, repeating party slogans like mindless bleating sheep. Did somebody say that St. Lucia is idiot country?

Anonymous said...

Yes you gave a good run down of Kenny and what kind of leader is, very good campaign piece. Where I agreed with you is, you admitting Kennny is a leader. Now I want you to to fucus on King as to what kind of mis leader he is, I'm waiiting. Does King deserve to be a PM? You stressed how the law was changed to accomadate Kenny, but you never said how all laws were over looked and King were just hand picked and supper imposed on us as PM. That only happens in comunist countries.

Although you do not deserve a respond on all the crap you wrote but I'll take you on about cost over run. I want you to name one big road project in St Lucia where there was no cost over run? I could remember the millieum highway had cost over run. The only differences is, nobody politicised it to win election. Let us look at a big piece of cost of cost over run and corruption, right under eyes and we are to blind to see it. The new park that was built in Castries is said to cost 1.6 million dollars. The land was not even bought, tell me what is there to cost 1.6 million????????.

St. Lucians have been conditioned by a liberal academic world and media to think that the political and university "elites" breaking down our traditional families are the answer to our prayers.

By making it appear that our salvation (particualrly the lower economic strata) is that the Government will provide for all our wants, we get stuck in our tribal mode waiting for "our" big belly man whether UWP or SLP to come and give us the goodies.

We lose our drive and initiative aand are incapable of motivating ourselves. We keep St. lucia filthy because we do not have sanitary habit but wait for government to come and pick up the trash.

Women get pregnant without planning marriage and their children end up in Bourdelais and we say somehow its the government's fault.

Successive governments have accrued $1.8 billion in debt(and to go to over $2 billion in two years)and we cya blame Kenny and we cya blame King.

We want to replace a known criminal in one constituency with someone accused of major sexual impropriety yet thousands turn up in the countryside for a fete to herald in that change.
Indeed an ass on an ass to replace a thief and jackass !

Only sick minds will justify what the UWP administration has done over the past four and a half years. Not IF but WHEN Kenny gets back in there will be so much work to do its not funny no more!!!!. The first time the SLP administration made a hugh mistake by leaving all the UWP operatives in place and they used their positions to undermine the SLP government. Mr. Finisterre's roadworks problem overseen by PM Kenny Anthony was wasteful and bad governance. But it was not corruption.

The problem with all the singing and dancing is that Labour has not yet said anything about how it will stem such financial bungling and squandamania like Rochamel, and NCA in the future. Therefore, a better group of people, perhaps than the marauding pirates that is the UWP. But a repetition of the same AVOIDABLE mistakes of the past? Soberly? Almost a certainty!

Where is the LPM in all of this? Here are two opposing parties with equally suspect candidates. Yet the new party does not throw its hat in the ring? One would have thought that this would be good strategy. Why not put an unspoiled 'son of the soil' to run there.

Its so ashame that you find st lucians who can say so or write so much foolishness, What has happen,
We behave like these crakheads who don't believe that taking crack is wrong and will weaken the body system.
Oh how a mother or father yearns for his son or daughter could see that it is wrong to smoke crack.
Oh how many of us could have seen that the uwp they know over the years is not the uwp today, But a bunch of corrupt men who are bent of destroying the country for their selfish purpose.
All we have to look at is the leaders who are running now and look at the caribbean, the international world and which of the three leaders can best articulate a message for this time, Education, vision, backbone, and many more to lead st lucia from this quagmire cause by the uwp goverment.
My fellow st lucians think, think, think for the future of our beloved fair helen.
Stop this petty nonsence.

St. Lucia does not have a choice come election day. It is between the devil and the deep blue sea.

As one vile and vindictive blogger posted. As far as he is concerned it is revenge time and bobol if the Labour Party come into power.
If the UWP retain power it is more bobol.

If Labour come in it is a failed leader . If UWP retain power it is an incompetent leader. Take your pick.

The only thing I can consider as the best option is to put one of them in at 9-8 so they have little room to wiggle and bankrupt the country.

I will be fast asleep on Election night and hear the damage the next morning.

The two years following that we will just see the same old nonsense that has taken place from 1996.

St. Lucia needs change and the change starts with the mentality of the citizens.

How will the majority of people high on ganga and beer make wise decisions? They will just stuff their mouths with more chicken and rum. Both parties have as their as their motto: "Have chicken and rum? Then, run." St. Lucia is idiot country.

Choiseul people are rotten to the core. How come they cannot find anyone to represent them who does not have a stinking past? Why must the rest of the country always have to hold its nose when they come near an MP from Choiseul?

@ anonymous above.
Castries Central TWICE voted for AL Capone(R.F.) and the whole nation is holding its nose!
Leave Choiseul alone!

Anse La Raye voted Mon day Zee a know scamp, patients records, house rent in St Kitts Castries etc. South East voted for an illiterate Guy another known scamp, ask the mini bus drivers what happened to their gas station. I never hear anyone complain. Now these bias UwPeeees trying to discredit the SLP Choiseul candidate, because the shoe is on the other foot.

If Lorne's article gets 100 responses before the Voice shuts it down, would he have won his nomination as if by acclamation? Waypon sah.

Dor mind them these St Lucia haters, who hate the country so much they do not want it to be developed. As they know Kenny and the SLP WILL be back to develop the country, that bring a rage in them. Anybody who really love St Lucia will always want Kenny back to continue developing St Lucia.

The fact is that the people from Choiseul have to hold their collective noses to vote this coming elections.

But then who is to blame?

There has been no uproar in Choiseul of any magnitude since Rufus Bousquet was found out to be a bigger fraud and criminal than origionally thought. The Choiseul UWPs have not reacted against putting a former US federal prisoner up as their candidate. Neither in fact has the UWP as a whole. On the death of Sir John compton they made Tucker a Minister. What does that say of our people as a whole?

On the other hand the SLP as aparty had candidate choices in Choiseul -as had the Choiseul SLP members. What did they do ? They chose an unsavory, arrogant individual once accused of a most vulgar crime.
Did not Choiseul have the option of another lawyer without the baggage. Yet they choose this character in preference.

We cannot say it is the youths' fault. I know the majority of the people making both choices were over the age of 30.
We cannot say they were illiterate. I am sure most of the persons making both choices were literate and even possibly highly educated.

What I can say from the decisions therefore is that most persons making the decisions were lacking in a moral base and lack decency.

What this says is that our country now operates at the level of the least common denominator. It started with the SLP Administration when all their actions were to show how egalitarian they were but instead of bringing everyone up to a level they brough everyone down to the commonest demoninator. Malaway was not something Kenny and Co wanted to get away from , it was what they aspired to make everyone except themselves.

You can see it by some of the contrived language written on this blog. Either semi illiterates or SLPs who think it is "cool" to write like a semi-illiterate.

Our country is nearer to Haiti now that towards Miami and no amount of Blackberries will make that any different tomorrow.

St Lucians, people, this election is about our bread and butter. Are things better in our country compared to five years ago?Have PM King showed that he is capable of leading a country to prosperity? Are we satisfied with the currently leadership and direction of the country?

People are talking about Lorne and his past.He that is without sin, go ahead cast the first stone.Lorne in his address at the rally acknowledged his past, presented himself as someone who have done wrong and who isn't perfect, can the same be said of the current government.Even when the evidence is right there, the PM turns a blind eye

I believe that now is a perfect time for Lady Janice to tell us about how/why Rufus got fired while her husband was on a death bed and why King brought him back after his position as PM was threatened.I also want King to comment on the new information about "Caribbean Connections".So UWP's, if you live in a glass house, don't throw stone because something is bound to shatter you **ASS

Lorne Theophilus made his grand entrance on a HORSE; I hope he'll make his grand exit on an ASS.

My friends, I first recommended the website “The St. Lucian Patriot”

I also recommend “The Choiseul Powerhouse”

com

It is important for us to get information from all sources available to us as St. Lucians.

Yes same horse will kick the UWP ASS out of existance from St Lucia for good. Nothing is more painful than getting a kick from a horse.

I BELIEVE HE WILL MAKE AN EXIT ON AN ASS FOR SURE. I DONT BELIEVE IN BIG GOVERNMENT AND TO BE LABOUR ITES ARE BIG SPENDERS. THE LABOUR PARTY IS TOO LIBERAL TO ME AND I SHALL NEVER SUPPORT THEM FOR THAT REASON. AND FOR THOSE LUCIAN GOONS WHO DONT KNOW WHAT BIG GOVERNMENT IS ALL ABOUT, ITS ABOUT SPEND SPEND SPEND WITH NO REGARDS TO THE DEFICIT. KENNY DID IT IN HIS TWO TERMS HENCE THE REASON FOR THE MESS STLUCIA IS IN RIGHT NOW. ITS ALL WELL AND GOOD TO SPEND YOUR LIFE AWAY TO SHOW THAT YOUR WORKING BUT AT WHAT EXPENSE. I AM NO FAN OF EITHER PARTY BUT FROM MY STAND POINT I THINK THIS GOVERNMENT HAS DONE A FAR BETTER JOB WHERE MANAGEMENT AND SPENDING IS CONCERN THAN LABOUR WHO WAS ON A WILD SPENDING SPREE. AND AS FOR LORNE IN CHOSUIEL HE IS IN FOR A RUDE AWAKENING ....MARK MY WORD

Choiseul people are retards most of them. On voting day, they will be so confused and stale drunk that the last party that gave them the most chicken legs and the most rum wins. It is so simple. Cut out the rest of the talk. It is of no use. Get that. They will not need to hold their noses. They are used to the smell of corrupt politicians. They produce the most on the island. What matters is simply chicken legs and rum.
