You don't need a deputy speaker to do the peoples' business, so therefore Kenny was holding the country hostage.

Very interesting. I believe this is the point that made the session unconstitutional. The house did not make the decision that it was not convinient, but the speaker did. That decision therefore should be challenged, as there is no where in the standing orders or the constitution where she was so authorised to make that determination on her own. As you rightly said, It should have been put to the house.
