Home invasion is indeed heartbreaking but lately home invasions in tourist areas in the North have been accompanied by SEXUAL ASSAULT and RAPE and the Police Force is doing nothing to inform the community or try to find the perpetrators. What ever happened to the two English women who were raped at Grande Anse beach by six men? I am also aware that recently there have been no less than five rapes in the by a masked intruder carrying a gun. How long is this nonsense going to continue in St. Lucia? What is the media doing to sensitize women to the dangers that lurk around them??? What is someone is killed by these criminals??

tHE FIRST COMMENT IS AN INSULT TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE SUFFERED FROM A BURGLARY. iT IS A DREADFUL THING TO EXPERIECE, IT IS A COMPLETE VIOLATION OF YOUR PERSONAL SPACE . THE POLICE PARTICULARLY IN GROS ISLET DO NOTHING TO APPREHEND THE PERPETRATORS, THEY HAVE NO UNDERSTANDING OF THE IMPACT, IN FACT FOR MOST WOMEN IT LEAVES THEM FEELING LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN RAPED, SO THIS IS NOT A JOKE. BEING BURGLED ISN'T JUST LOOSING POSSESSIONS ITS ALSO ABOUT THE FEELING OF THE VICTIM AND THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE FELONS, WHO OF COURSE WILL BE USING GODS NAME AT THE SAME TIME, THERE NEEDS TO BE HARD LOOK AT THIS PARTICULAR CRIME AND STRATEGIES PUT IN PLACE TO DEAl with the aftermath instead of a non committal response by those who say they are the police.
