My kind of candidate! What a refreshingly new perspective on being a representative of the people really means.

Here is a real humble and decent human being for a change. How different her approach, and how she sounds and sparkles compared to the other women contesting this coming elections! Fair Helen has got a sparkling gem in her tiara. Way to go LPM!

@2 Lay off the dope, and clear your head. You will need to do this, or else, you will wind up one way or the other, dead, dead, dead. There may be already a price on your head.

Blogger #2 this is surely not the kind of diatribe (to put it mildly)that we can accept as the kind of political discourse that we need. I am sure this brainless reaction will not be condoned by Mr. Frederick whom you claim to support.

Have some respect for yourself!

As for blogger #1, on just what is your comment "a refreshingly new perspective..." premised? Has the LPM or the candidate herself presented us with a credible programme, discourse on the critical issues facing us etc. to warrant your observation.

Come please, let us get real. In the real world we should not deal with mirages - that's what got us where we are with the present government. Mirages, spin and ultimately downright deception.

So far it seems that Dr.Anthony and the Labour Party are out ahead in presenting us with ideas that can be seriously discussed.

Go girl...You have my support. Number 2 is an idiot.

The Devil is hard at work here. It is obvious that he and his minions are afraid that decent people want to take the country back from the abyss where the degenerate UWP has placed it. We have no hope. Just more dope. No bright or happy future.

This decent LPM candidate can change that, if there are enough decent people left in the constituency.

Evil will not give up without a struggle. But guns, coke, and traffickers have a vested interest in letting things remain the way they are.

Many will succumb, protest, and participate in the destruction and in the snuffing out of others' lives, but there for the Grace of God others will shun this way of life.

All is not lost.

The longest day has an end. The US helicopter gunships might well be on their way, if the evidence is damaging enough. But who knows? The revocation of visas might just be the tip of the iceberg.

LPM I can see is the party of hope and renewal for St. Lucia. Go Ms Browne! Go!

@3, because I am a truth seeker and not an ostrich, I have been made aware that the candidate is high up in the chain of command of the LPM. Her name has been in this newspaper when she was made deputy leader. You are probably suffering from our deadly strain of political tribalism.

More than that, the LPM candidate is part of the group that has beaten the SLP to the punch in putting out a set of concrete proposals for handling a spectrum of critical issues on their lpmnow.org website. They have been up for over a year now.

The LPM even while not in power, has seen some of its ideas poached by the clueless UWP misfits and some are now retitled SLP programmes.

No other party has such a wide range and comprehensively interwoven group of policies that drawing from the worklife and experiences of the contributors, namely, the LPM think tank.

If you are not biased, you will notice that these proposals are far-reaching, very different from what that has been proposed before, and radical in approach in solving our critical national problems.

They go far beyond the window-dressing and "me too" approach of the SLP's recently declared policy proposals.

Ms Browne too, is in very good company.

She is surrounded by people with management, economics, and accounting consultancy experience plus teaching experience; in public management; international marketing management; accounting; international business; labour relations; energy policy; not-for-profit management; senior private sector marketing experience, and senior public sector management and energy management working experience.

All of that is in addition to Ms Browne's own expertise in gender relations, philosophy, and youth volunteering and pioneering experience.

LPM, though relatively small in number, is a powerhouse of sorts in terms of skills, knowledge, and abilities.

It is not just a group of talkers, wannabe politicians, or chalk and talk teachers, and others who need quite extensive and intensive tutorials just to understand and relate to national, international and world affairs in a very meaningful way.

LPM is all about sacrifice and service.

Anonymous #11 your Mr Frederick is so much less man, and so much more manicou, that if he sets foot on US soil by accident, for example bad weather or his plane experiencing mechanical trouble and passengers have to de-board the aircraft, they will put him in an orange jumpsuit with bright and shinny bracelets on hands and feet. @14, how many times you expect to stuff your one ballot in the ballot box, uhn? Or do you all UWPs have a plan to stuff ballot boxes with pre- stamped ballots? It is going to be alright in the morning here too?

Anonymous said...

That last comment is an SLP in wolf or UWP clothing.

I have no problem in giving the young lady a chance. You have to try and she is bold to try. I like candidates like that.

Blogger claiming to be a "truth seeker" pray tell exactly where have these "concrete proposals been articulated?

Thus far the LPM seems to exist only in the blogs and your claims about some think tank churning out ideas for us hapless lesser mortals would be rather amusing if politics was not serious business.

Please stop the ad hominem attacks on others accusing them of being biased or of tribalism - by the way can the LPM claim not to be just another tribe?

It's time for serious discourse and not name calling...if you are really seeking a workable alternative to what passes for government under King - as I would like to believe you are.

Some people are so 19th century and are such Luddites, that they are attacking those who use all media available to spread their message.

Yeah, it is people like you who would back real scoundrels, jail birds, and drug barons, and their filthy lucre using rum-and-chicken politics to keep the country like Guyana and Haiti, while the pillage the Treasury like in the Tuxedo Affair.

Ask 'Mr. Smith' why he fired the worker right away on the site. The worker did not leave on time for 'Mr. Smith' to visit without people knowing who he was, on his multi-million dollar construction project supposedly financed on a minister's salary for just after four years.

The drug baron is money laundering here too, since he cannot travel?

Thank you everyone. I will try to do my best. All your comments are empowering and encouraging. It made my day. Look forward to my vision for housing in our constituency. Until then, have a strong week.

Ms Browne, with all your book knowledge, why did you join the LPM? These New Yorkers have no vision. They are stained green.

Felicia Browne said...

Knowledge is diverse and books only reveal certain realities. The LPM invited me to become part of a movement for change- political change for every citizen. I believe that anyone can make a difference in their country regardless of their geographical location. If they were located in Alaska and wanted to help their country, I would join(smile). It is about your country. At this moment in our history, people are fighting to save the integrity of their country. We must applaud anyone who is willing to serve their country. To serve ones country is a spiritual endeavor, even the Greeks knew that.

Blogger @ 6:25a.m. October 9, it is clear that you simply do not understand and that this discourse is above your head - or perhaps you had shaken the sleep from your eyes.

I am the last person who will support this bunch of thugs. you should also note that I am using the blogs as well - so how can I be against the use of the technology?!

All I am saying is that LPM needs to connect physically with the people whom they are trying to woo. CYBERSPACE ALONE IS FAR FROM ADEQUATE.

Is this simple fact lost on you? Perhaps you are the ostrich who buries its head in the sand after all.

St. Lucians are so tribal that they cannot appreciate the need to organize for something that they are interested in. Take Obama's election for example.

People who wanted change ON THEIR OWN, organized groups, created videos and so on in support of someone or some idea they believed in. St. Lucians always want to be led like sheep. Grow up people!

Grow up. Get involved in the change you want. Goad, prod, publicize the individuals who you think will make a difference to the commess that is our two party tribalism.

Stop acting like sheep. Organize your own private groups. Discuss the issues rather than listen to dumb-bell and muscle-head and Jook Bwha idiots on radio and TV.

For St. Lucia's and your children's sake, take back the country from these political rapists, Treasury thieves, Tax cheats, Drug lords, defenders of goons, bald-head idiots, US Jail birds, and real puppet men with queenie powder-puffs for balls.

Ms Browne seize the moment! Go from strength to strength. God bless....

Appears to be a very promising candidate. Do hope she is genuine as she sounds. Would be happy to see your resume. I think it would be a good idea for all candidates contesting this election to publish their resumes for public scrutiny. Voters would therefore be able to make better choices if they have an idea of the educational background and capabilities of those vying for political office.
