In my view it would make more sense for Ausbert D'Auvergne to align himself with one of the established political parties; whichever party accepts him will have a greater chance of winning the elections.

Ausbert was very credible on TV show last night.

The parties need to outline in detail physical plans for the country such as widening narrow feeder roads in Castries like Rockhall, Morne Dudon, Bagatelle, La Pansee, etc. Vehicular traffic is a nightmare in these areas.

Alternative vehicular traffic arterials need to be explored as well; proper infrastructure precedes building or facilities develpoment.

I started watching Dove's much anticipated appearance on TV but turned off the TV midway. I think Dove was being both cocky and defensive. Cocky about his list of accomplishment in the public service. He was defensive by trying to dodge questions dealing with his cousin's imprisonment and his own friendship with a shady character. It was most telling when he tried to deal with the question of bankruptcy and several business failures. He tasted political power and failed.

It is an unequal society when only the haves can run a successful campaign. Most countries have a ceiling on the money that can be spent, money that is given from business etc. It is a better system to have transparency when it comes to funds. I understand the goverment will use tax payers money to fund their campaigns, why not we live in a good christian country where the 'haves' get more and the poor suffer as a result. I wonder which book of the bible says this is ok. All the time that power is the motivator in politics you will have a situation that the St. Lucian people seem to think is ok. The first person on this blog talk about roads etc, what about education and health, if people are uneducated and disease stricken they won't care about the roads. The whole of this society needs to be looked at and broken down in order to make it fairer to the majority of people. Come on you santimonious politicians think of the children of tomorrow and sort this island out.

We must be careful of accusing government of "using tax payers money" to fund its campaign. This
is a lie and misleading.

Dove knows that he has no crediblity. Anyone who dare position themselves with Dove are asking for trouble.

This man can never escape his past. I don't even know why he bother to come posing as a brand new 2nd hand.

Ausbert D'Auvergne, according to DE
ASHANTI song, the big, big, RAT,
they caught one in the Ministry.

And then there was Jaunty's song THE BOBOLIST. Ausbert on the BOBOLIST.

Shameless, Hound-Dog. Rick Waynes's article on what john Compton told him about D'Auvergne around the 2006 elections speaks volumes about how very corrupt and worthless both John Compton and Ausbert D'Auvergne was/is.

We St.Lucians must learn to give Jack his jacket! Despite his flaws, I must admit that Ausbert D'Auverge was one of the most competent among the UWP misfits. The man do have alot of potential.

If Dove has no credibility then so is the UWP because Dove was directly alined to the UWP all his life, he was always the front man in the UWP government. Up to recently he was their minister incharge of one of the most important ministry in the country. He was only relieved from that post when a few ministers who is more crooked than him said two male crabs cannot live in the same hole, meaning being that they are so crooked, there should not be another crooked person competing with them. So we should never look at the situation in a narrow way. We must call a spade a spade.

Every aspect of this country is important from social to physical but there are glaring physical problems that are never tackled, have been neglected for years, such as the narrow and dangerous roads, speeding on our highways, etc. All we get are promises, promises.

In my view if physical problems are not tackled early this will give rise to more chaos and social problems. Road rage for instance is becoming a reality due to inadequate infrastructure, careless and speeding drivers, etc.

We need to hear what plans will be in place for creating the 4 lane highway from Choc to Cap Estate, better housing in Conway, inner and fringe city areas, more parking garages, etc. All these if tackled can give rise to more employment too. We need mechanisms, mechanisms, for tackling problems.

I don't care how many ideas D'Auvergne have to rule St Lucia. That don't mean a thing if his character is questionable.

I would welcome any new leader without D'Auvergene baggage.

10:50 why didn't you say that when he was with the UWP, just recently he was a minister. That only goes to show us how trashy the UWP is!!!!

8:40 The only party who began tackiling the physical problems of the country Was SLP under Dr Anthony, so if people want to see that continue they must support the SLP to get relected plain and simple.

BS

We don't have to support SLP to push St Lucia forward.

This is a falasy that you people are pushing.

Kenny just like Dove was a failure. We can't try to reinvent Kenny.

If St Lucians continue to think they why they are thinking right at this time, then they should do the right thing and dump Kenny.

You said it is BS to support the SLP, but you forgot to tell us which of the present parties who has any record of pushing St Lucia forward. You want to dump Kenny but you also didn't tell which leader of the present crop has a better record than him.

Dove's baggage has some bad items but it has some good items too. At least he can show his handprint in nearly all the physical and social development that took place in St. Lucia during Sir John's time.

Its Like the contrators who need a palet of blocks but put in for ten Knowing that they only need one. So it was with the dove. Yes under compton he was corrupt and thats why dove and the others took advantage of our people and fair helen, Lots of them should have been jailed
