Hon. Gail Regobert, if my observations are correct, and I am no UWP supporter speaks very positively for her, as becoming the first female Prime Minister of Saint Lucia.
SHE IS THE FIRST SAINT lUCIAN POLITICIAN, AT LEAST DURING MY LIFETIME, THAT HAS, WITHOUT any prompting, recognized publicly, that LEADERSHIP in Government is a divine calling.
Dr. Gail Regobert at the helm of the United Workers Party will give ANY current member of the SLP put up as leader as thrashing.
Emma Hippolyte, in my view is tainted with the past Kenny Anthony administration, and is seen in a particular light, by many in business that matter, as well as the middle class.
Honurable Gail Regobert, until time proves me wrong, appears to very much deserve the title Honourable.
Sarah Flood must be kept as far away from UWP Politices as the North Pole is from the South Pole.

There is alot of fakiness about her. Pettyness as well. I think she has some self-esteem problems, observing her closely. A very pretentious person. Not qualities for a leader, in whatever form, or at whatever level. Not even good for a Representative.
Ms. Regobert is smart. She is right on the bottom, listen and learn alot as fast as she can.
Get in the habit of doing much research on your relevant issues, and learn fast that way. Keep ever close throughout your term with your constituents.

Let's all support all of our female politicians. We have come a long way historically where females in politics are concerned. While I think that no other female can match up with Emma as PM quality, I still believe that the PM title is within reach for any qualified female politician.

Bravo to all other St.Lucian females who have achieved the highest educational milestone (PhD MD, EDd. Doc. PsyD etc.
Please Kenny let's put those persons in positions where St.Lucians can benefit from their contributions, that is, if they are not already doing so.
No where and at no time has it been proven that a PhD is more valuable to his or her community than, let us say, the grave-digger, the local butcher, the local fisherman, the grass-cutter, or even the handy-man who performs odd jobs in the neighborhood.
A PhD's main goal is to secure himself a good paying job to maintain a certain lifestyle and to help recoup his huge college expense.
Blogger above you sound like a true hypocrite. If you embrace grasscutters etc that you mentioned then encourage your children or if you do not have any of your own those closest to you to aim and work toward becoming a grasscutter, and butcher.
There is the other side of the coin as well...persons who have qualms or envy with a PhD person or acquaintance may label every other PhD's in a similar vein.
We are not being led by a PM who trashed PhD's or education anymore. We need to be forward thinkers always looking forward to the best in individuals or at least helping them to search for the best in themselves. Let's embrace all who see a need to educate themselves at all levels. BRAVO to the PHD's and especially our rich pool of female PhD's!!!

Whatever my kids choose to do, as long as it is legal, I'll back them 100%. And that includes being a grass-cutter or a butcher.
Nobody's role in society is more important than somebody's elses.
Have you ever seen a tombstone with a PhD inscription? No!!!!!
There is a place for grasscutters, butchers but there is also a place for PhD's, and persons of quality terminal degrees. Stop criticizing the PhD degree because your jealousy exudes in your statements. I feel pity for persons who simply despise holders of PhD degrees. I ask why? But, something tells me the answer is deeper than simply jealousy, it may very well be a canker sore of high illiteracy among our populace and a hatred towards postgraduate education.
Dr. Lewis(a holder a PhD degree)your work is obviously cut out for you. Our people desperately needs help because similar sentiments about trashing PHD's has been reiterated by persons such as Rick Wayne and others in the media. The research clearly shows that as a society increases in terms of education and educational degrees so does the economic progress of that society.
People learn and stop being haters of persons who hold PhD's etc. Embrace them instead. Lord we need help.

HOW I WISH ONE DAY 2 WALK WITH MY HEAD UP HIGHT IF ONL ONE OF THEM WILL OBTAIN SUCH A RENOW DEGREE OF EDUCATION.
