They all wear sandlas.
St Lucia always has and always will need outside aid to survive. Sandals University is a great idea... for Sandals.
How much beneficiation does Sandals create in St Lucia? Poverty wages, imported goods, never ever paying suppliers on time. Like a leech on the face of the local economy.
We should encourage Berthia, Karolin and the Barnards before these blood suckers on the face of our fair isle.
Where is the shame that we need all these foreigners to survive?
When Butch Stewart say jump; the four prime ministers that have sandal hotels on their soil ask how high.
You would never see Barbados getting envolve in such nonsense.
Yes, you can train your staff to be nice to the guests; but once the guests leave the hotels and venture to places like Soufriere, among others, they encounter real hostility; zulu hostility for simply taking pictures and videos at the local market, etc.
Watch the videos on YouTube and you'll be surprised to see how some St.Lucians treat the tourists; especially in the Soufriere region.
Instead of the PMs focusing on providing their people with world class education they are allowing Sandals to indoctrinate their people on how to be subservient. What a shame...Butch has all of them in his wallet. Poor jab for the ordinary Caribbean people.
