Let us just wish Bro Hilaire well - he may sometimes be contraversial, red and stoney but he is a hard worker. My personal experience of him is that he tries to understand his territory. Good luck. The UK is strategic and one wonders whether we make full use of the office and its location. One wonders also whether Lucians in the Uk are only family supporters and crisis responders, and not a people with their own challenges in the UK. Moreso, that Lucians in the UK are St Lucians even when they return. I pray that he can inspire some review of the relevance of overseas offices as it appears that we are somewhat stuck in the mold of the 50's. If he can shift the paradigm in his term he would have done his job. Good luck again to a man who's not afraid to speak his mind. In the interest of St Lucia and I hope equally for the inclusive overseas residents in the 'diaspora' I Meow, Meow with a positive outlook.
please insult me and tell me or name the people of substance in the UWP. I want you to tell or show me, how is UWP a political party and not just a group? Where is the structure of the party? UWP only manage to keep together when they were in office, as they lost the election they fell apart. I these UWPS should try to put their party back in order, instead of talking nonsense about a governing party which is well organized, compared to them which is in a fiasco.
We are in urgent need of a one party state in order to reunite our people. These two parties are only creating division among our people. Let us begin to vote for people instead of colours. True Patriot.

The UWP has degenerated into an "each man for himself" backwater without a glimpse of possible leadership from the existing Members of Parliament who resemble a crosssection of Haitain MPs!
On the other Hand you have a forked tongued , incompetent Prime Minister whose leadership and "advise" from such as Hillaire has bankrupted St. Lucia both fiscally and socially.
Hillaire wil do nothing of conseuence in London just as Menissa is an abject failure in Nue Nork as she was an am mp.
So the uwps better get adjusted to the fact that the clowns in the slp are there for another 4+ years and St. Lucians better get used to further downgrading of their country with these incompetents in office.

you do know if we are not content with the present situation we can demand another election.. as a people? do you know that polititians on the whole are full of what is used to fertilize crops? did you know that the majority of supporters who commented here all sound like they are repeating something they heard someone say? did you know the majority of voters are influenced by someone/individuals they view as reputable? so to influence the masses you influence the ones whose opinions matter?

i am for hilliare's appointment but i am disgusted over julian dubois' ... alva baptiste cannot justify why this man has been appointed consul general in new york... guess it's a friend looking out for a friend! a friend who had a job a NEMO and would have been better suited for a post in the ministry of youth development... i am told that not even dr anthony is pleased with his appointment... we eagerly await his arrival!

When Julian Hunte held the New York post a few years ago,one would have thouht that his background in sports and business,would have been utilized in fostering business relationships between Lucians in the diaspora and Lucians in the homeland,but he lack that vision.Let us hope that Dr.Hillaire is not as myopic.
