This is the exact thing that Obama tried and failed with in the USA.

He called it "shovel ready jobs". Just like Obama these liberals never think these things through and have no experience with the practical aspects of the job because they have never held a real job in their lives just like Obama.

In the end Obama had to say he did not realize that they were not as "SHOVEL READY" as he thought. Just as in three years time you will hear NOTHING from the SLP abour any stimulus package as it failes like their other programs.

The prime minister's action does not suggest that he is liberal. His action in this instance and elewhere points to ineptitude and mismanagement of scarce national resources. The country will remain the poorer but his friends will become an untouchable and unstoppably rich. Kenny is not good for Saint Lucia!

Very, very few of our politicians are good for St. Lucia, but we continue to accept the crap they give us because we don't believe we deserve any better.

I hope the stimulus package works. Somethinng needs to work because we are in dire straits. As with most things in St. Lucia, I expect there will be some level of borbol involved and some of the deserving people will be left out, but hopefully it will have some positive immpact.

These are legitimate concerns. Clearly Kenny ahs learned nothign from Rochamel when he failed to monitor the project to reduce the likelihoood of cost overruns.

We can expect riots and civil disturbances when the money runs out. Soon the international community including investors will STOP lending to us.

Phillip Pierre and Kenny will budget to borrow $200 million and no one will lend them a dime.

At that point the full experiment of the socialist/liberal/progressive academics and politicians from UWI and scattered around CARICOM and the OECS Secretariats and the halls of Parliament will realize that they have failed miserably but guess what " THEY WILL BLAME BUSH !!" Lol !

Kenny's stimulus package appears to be wrapped beautifully in red gift wrappings for his internal clicks...those building huge mansions, those building housing complexes and the list goes on. My family has voted labour from the very day that the SLP was established, and I worked hard for this party but now I am totally disappointed by Kenny's decision and inability to engage in sound decision especially as it relates to ministerial portfolios for his boys Fletcher and LaCorbeniere including others who enjoyed lives of luxury while persons like Haracksingh, Mangal, Dr. Raymond, and Dr. Long (sidelined individuals)toiled hard and long under the bitter campaign sun and insufficient funds as well. It saddens me that old and young labour boys and girls are benefiting from the hard work of those sincere folks who have been sidelined. I support Dr. Raymond's move 110%. It appears that Kenny and his click are bringing down our party...Pip take note we need better leadership. Pip, I am totally disappointed with what's happening and I am not keeping a secret. Kenny's lack of good decision making is hurting our party badly to the point where hard core SLP supporters have decided that they will not vote next election. Do something Pip!

Pip is a smaller Pipsqueak!

Pip is the kenny poodle who has been the henchman for Rochamel, Grynsberg and all the massive debt now crushing St. Lucians' hopes.

Pip is the so called "economist" or whatever who along with Kenny/Tony has burdened the St. Lucian middle class to the extent that we have no hope.

That will be the big joke on St. lucians when they finally get rid of one PM who cannot perform and replace him with the sidekick.

We so stupid we cannot see through the sheer incompetence of Phillip Pierre.
