Speak Up Chastanet, Speak Up

Dear Sir:

Oh yes. You never miss the water till the well run dry. In this case I hope it’s just a lull while the well spring is replenished. With so much taking place on and off the island one would expect the Flogg Blog at full power -- firing at all cylinders.

The UWP leader and his preferred deputy -- two rookies, locally and international, if you ask me -- have just returned from a much publicized meeting with UK residents, something which he is good at, I mean – meet and greet -- talk and more talk. To be continued in New York and Canada. That should be interesting.

Anyway, in the interest of full disclosure attending such a meeting downtown London on a Sunday is not my cup of tea. Neither would I appreciate my intelligence to be mixed up with marketing ploys, rehearsed theatrics, trickledown economics or voodoo economics for that matter. I have seen and heard enough of that, which accounts for the current state of affairs on the island. I prefer to be at peace with myself in the English countryside.

Participants indicated that just about 36-38 residents attended. A loyal supporter said 50+ attended the meeting. My arithmetic is not up to par. In this instance I would prefer a UWP economist to solve that equation (36 to 38 and 50+) for the benefit of us all.

Other commentators indicated that for the first time the crowd was not bad. Ouch! You mean after all that time in government and as a tourism and marketing expert; the UWP and its leader can only attract that much of an audience? That’s what I would expect the LPM to attract in such a forum. Anyway! To me that’s a poor turnout, but I would have to wait for the answer to the math equation above.

That’s where the Flogg Blog comes in to tell apart the truth from fiction. On the New York and Canada leg of the talk shop it would probably be worth the effort to have Stephenson King tag along. Maybe his experience and appearance would stimulate a better performance than two rookies.

But who would know that better than the Flogg Blog; a much sought after publication to stand up and speak out. Of late the silence worries me. Actually it’s killing me literally, since nothing beats a late night reading than a well written Flogg. And so maybe, I should offer a modest sum of $2,500 for a write-up on the UK Diaspora meeting. I know, I know… this may not be as juicy a topic of say Stephenson King and Richard Frederick prior to the UWP leadership elections/selection and the happenings now!

I just miss the Flogg Blog and am trying to replenish the well spring.

Allen is once again showing his multiple personality and his inability to seek advice before talking off his head. He is again showing his in ability to understand, analysis processes and offer solutions.
No wonder Stephenson King was given so many BAD advise. And now all of the same person - advisers are on Allen's Team. Horrray!!!

AA Micah

You might have been too quick with this article. I now hear people saying that the SLP press release was nothing but horse poop.

Micah, you took the bait...and that makes you a sucker!

What bait? So now our leaders/politicians are throwing baits at each other for political mileage, regardless of the repercussions to the island.

Wonderful example(s), Mr Chastanet!!

You appear to be quite comfortable in saying things that are not true, whether as a jab or not - ain't fitting for a leader of any Political Party.

A word to Micah:-

You are an enterprising young man, still learning your craft. We all love you, but a word of caution. Before publishing any of these highly charged topics, please get the facts straight.
I'm no fan of Rick Wayne, but I must give it to him. He does his research more thoroughly. It will get very, very hot nearer the next elections, so get ready and be careful. Meeting in London on a Weekend, (Sunday is worse)is not a wise idea, especially if it rains. New York or Toronto is different,(but still get advise). In London, some go to Church then settle in front of the 'TELLY' have a drink, watch Football and the horse races, check the 'Pools' for a win or whatever tickles you.
Don't forget, they are a fair weather people; only mad dogs and Englishmen come out in the Midday Sun, (never on a Sunday).
Ti Chas will be alright in a couple years.

Micah,
When you assume, especially on a faulty premise, you end up looking like a fool.
It would have been an intelligent move on your part if you had asked the SLP to state categorically what Chastenet said instead of asking a question.
The SLp without proof did not want to be labelled as spreading rumours and so asked a question, thereby covering themselves. They also calculated that a naive, untrained journalist might give the article some traction, thereby changing the channel on Kenny's dismal performance if only for A brief period.
To their surprise, they realised it was you.Good catch.

Micah, you're so pathetic. Do you know who produces passport for Saint Lucia and the OECS? It's a PRIVATE company Micah. You should have checked that out before you wrote that crap.

So if the production of the passports can be privatized, what's wrong with privatization the distribution?

You stinking St. Lucians continue to take some very sickening and backward decisions including making Allen Chastanet leader of a political party here.

Chastanet's record in the Public Service is ZILCH. Nothing whatsoever to talk about. The boy was brought up in an environment where it is very difficult for him to understand the life of the average St. Lucian.

PRIVATIZING PASSPORTS GO HAND IN HAND WITH MONEY LAUNDERING and all other economic crime.

Chastanet is an ARSE HOLE. This is the very best way to describe this idiot.

I meant privatizing the DISTRIBUTION of passports go hand in hand ith money laundering. We will talk about this via radio and television some more.

Ask the Commissioner of Police about the implications of this.

Stupid arse holes.
