The women stop shitting out children; because they have come to realize that the care and money to be spent will come from their own pockets completely; and not a dime in most cases coming from the men.

That not even the family court can help them.

So they put a coil up the cat; or they take those pills to stop them from getting pregnant or they get the abortions.

It would be equally important to know the number of abortions we have per year.

The number of birth control pills issued per year; so we can observe the trends. The Family Planning folks can assist us in this area.

Then has prostitution increased or decreased?

So many things to examine. Sad story for St. Lucia.

What a shitty piece of analysis. It is devoid of any appreciation and specific implications for general economics and for demographics in particular. When so-called or expected members of the elite write this load of crap for a thinker, we know that we are really in shit street.

With a very bias analysis based on data from one school, we come to see how hurtful a little bit of knowledge really is.

We learned nothing about the replacement rate. We read nothing up there about the dependent cohorts. We read essentially nothing about solutions to the population decline.

What a load of vacuous crap is being peddled up there for meaningful discussion! There is the current experiences of Europe and Japan to draw on.

We got nothing that really makes any god damn sense.

What we got was someone trotting out a container-load of useless statistics. For a so-called educated person to write such a load of crap is absolutely shocking!

What should be eliminated completely is the naming of certain buildings and roads after politicians and millionaires.
The politicians have been paid enough for screwing the nation and the millionaires have robbed us enough.
The name 'HESS' School and John Compton Highway should be changed.

One of the reasons for the reduction of the birthrate is the increase of men being gay and women turning to be Lesbians. So whatever makes you happy, screw the kids.

You mean to tell me that this writer has no idea of the implications of population reduction other than a decline in pupil enrolments? Besides, the data appears to be based on just one catchment area. So why are retirees wasting other people's time when they don't know what the hell they are talking about?

Are there no upsides to the situation if there is indeed a reduction in the birth rate? What is happening to the population pyramid? Where are the bulges, growth spurts, and in what age groups?

Is this one-sided analysis a reflection of a population shift or migration from the suburbs to the more urban areas such as Gros Islet?
