Peter you should be ashame to associate yourself with such a statement from the UWP. This statement gives the impression that this is the first time a journalist has been sued. How can a lawsuit erode press freedom in this country?
What is press freedom anyway?
at 2:38 PM - how can you ask that question? You may not realise it but you're very close to having a politician determine what can and cannot be said in print. I detect that you may not be in favour of uwp, which is fine. But one day it may be another party who you don't agree with, which suddenly tries to repress the free thoughts of a person.
The press is to report events factually and question those who hold power over us. Those who hold that power need to be thick skinned and can take some intrusive questioning. If they can't, then they are unfit for public office. They are dangerous individuals who will silence those with whom they disagree. Stand up for your rights and don't slavishly follow the politicians like your football team.

The truth about St Lucia is that it is a failed degraded state with a population that has abandoned its moral base and hence economic underpinings.
