I wonder what has happen to the restructuring and working together with unity and love as the UWP mission and values call for. This to me is absolute hypocrisy, while burning the candles at both ends. I would like to remind these jokers in Allen’s UWP that political power is in the streets… in the hands of the people.
Allen is making a huge error thinking he can own the UWP. Allen needs to know that stewardship is what the UWP needs. The party is not a commodity for sale, like pain eh pannier on a supermarket shelf. Politics is not driven by crowds that have a strategy of fun and games. Politics is no longer for brokers of deceit with petty bourgeoisie that operate like leeches on poor people. By Allen’s behaviour he obviously needs to return to school and learn about political management, delegation of roles and responsibility. People can differ with Stephenson King all they want but I think he understands politics well enough to recognize these points. He has represented the UWP well over the years.
I listened to Flambeau radio this morning where Peter Josie used the opportunity to say that Stephenson King’s best years are behind him and that Allen Chastanet is the best one for the UWP. My reaction to this is there he goes again, braying at the top of his voice like the donkey nearby. He went on to announce that the UWP will be holding a national conference on Sunday, January19, with the intent to “strengthen” the party and deal with at least three rogues in the party that must be cleaned. Whoo... Peter Josie, the new Judas, is back. His arrogance of the 1979-80s has not changed. This time he is determined to carefully massage the master ego. And at any cost to be subservient to the master with the whip to straighten the little black boys! As Allen continues to reinvent the party with arrogance, a call from my friend reminded me, “A scorpion can never change its inherited aggressive nature.” Their action has been consistently destructive. They continue to operate as the enemy of peace with impunity and a cut throat attitude. I truly believe this is their nature that was mistakenly characterized in a UWP government that fed them when they were hungry and destitute. This reminds me “you just can’t remake these socialists” that are wrapped in the UWP. It will be unsuccessful to scramble to control the damage that these SLP throwaways are doing to the UWP image.
I started reading the Voice Newspaper as a student. I held a subscription during years of my studies and working overseas. I'm therefore very disappointed of this editorial...it's biased. It writes against thrashing internal political differences in public. Yet the editorial encourages it and even spreads the rumors that it pretends to abhor. This is very unprofessional. The Voice must not appear to be taking sides in the matter. Nameless guest editorial must also be fair and objective. I expected nothing less!
I live on Planet Earth in Saint Lucia. A good newspaper editor has a sense of objectivity and national pride, must be fair and factual...not prone to promote a bias political roro!

What planet is the previous writer living on. Certainly not St. Lucia. My friend every news paper/editor has an agender. Don't be fooled.
