It is said that Opposition and Calumny are often the brightest tribute that vice and folly can pay to Virtue and Wisdom; so Stheno Josie what exactly has made your hatred of Richard Frederick so Palpable that you can vent such calumny at Richard without the mere mention of his name.

Was it Richard's Candour that has made your distorted mind envision him as cowardly? But how could the wisest and most knowledgeable man in the World, Peter Josie, not know that such candour is the seal of a noble mind, the ornament and pride of man, the sweetest charm of women, the scorn of rascals, and the rarest virtue of sociability?

My only disappointment is that Richard's research into the crimes committed against the people of St. Lucia by scoundrels like Peter and Joseph, has not landed the Rascal named Josie in Prison, for the mysterious disappearance of the Lucian's monies that was in your possession and remains unaccounted for to date.

As far as Allen Chastanet is concerned his ascension to the UWP’s helm was quietly filled with race notions as well as class issues.

He hinted "We have been afraid to even discuss these matters openly because we are a 'loving people'. ” When was the last time you heard that one?

If that is the case, perhaps someone can truthfully answer this question.

Besides Allen Louisy as Prime Minister, voted into office on an SLP ticket in 1979 with a short political lifespan as leader, when was the last time we voted a black Prime Minister into office?

Both Vaughn Lewis and Stephenson King were selected leaders, and both lost when it came to people voting their parties back to office.

Now that we have two choices, Kenny Anthony (the son of a former slave plantation owner) and Allen Chastanet, married into the Duboulay family that has quietly controlled economic wealth in Soufriere, are we still not prepared to at least have a discussion?

Are we still not prepared to discuss why one of the largest constituencies, Choiseul seems to still be paying back-pay to former plantation owners for their revolts. Much like Soufriere? There too, while boasting the “best hotels in the world” black people languish in poverty.

Recently an article by Pat Brown entitled The Perceived Right to Rule, began with this statement: “It is a historical fact that after the abolition of slavery it was the slave owners who were compensated for their loss of slave labor, not their slaves after countless years in bondage.

Among the early maps of St Lucia is the La Fort De Latoor, which identified estates by their owners who, upon their departure, handed their estates to their descendants, who continued to employ the ex-slaves and other black people as "expendable beasts of burden.”

The background of some twenty seven slave plantations here including Marquis, in the north, which was originally the domain of an English gentleman named Purchase. “A man of French origins owned Cap. Floissac was his name, and he subsequently sold his estate to a Colonel Harrison, a horse breeder. Choc Estate’s original owners were also from England, a family known as the Bascombes. They sold their property to “a former employee named JQ Charles, a St Lucian,” as was the owner of Corinth estate Balboa Edwards,”.

Another Frenchman whose surname was Devaux owned Goodlands, Cul-de-Sac and Roseau estates while the DuBoulays owned most of the town of Soufriere and its environs, including Anse Chastanet. Another Englishman owned Jalousie and Beau estates, while a Monsieur Delieu laid claim to Fondu and Chateaubelair. The area of Saltibus known as Morne Lizard belonged to Englishman George Barnard and his close relative David Barnard owned East Balembouche, while Dennis owned estates from Dennery to La Caye.

So where does that leave us?

In effect, actual slavery has been transformed into low-wage slavery at facilities built for tourist, mainly run by overseas corporations.

Little of the monies retained as profit by these organisations remain in St Lucia.

Most goes back to the parent company overseas.

Equally, with so many concessions in place, little of the monies are retained by the government by way of taxes as countless governments seem hell bent on paying foreign entities to make their money in St Lucia.

So they get paid twice. Once by the customers (tourists) and again by the government by way of concessions.

‘Each time the gain has gone to the United Workers Party they seem to insist on regaining their perceived "God Given" right to rule Saint Lucia.’

But within that syndrome is there a matter of a lighter pigmentation that Pat Brown, Stephenson King, Allen Louisy and even Vaughn Lewis just do not possess.

Can Allen Chastanet turn that perception around by not just simply burying his head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich, but allowing for some real discussions on the matter? Or will it be another case of Kenny and Allen mem bête, mem pwel?

it's people like Josie who give politics and politicians a bad name.The coward you are afraid to mention by name was part of the team you campaign so hard for St Lucians to elect to govern this country. So too was King, who was so good as prime minister that you were all over asking people to vote them. You portrayed Compton as the devil.....smh....I wonder what you would say about Kenny Anthony and Allan Chastanet if Kenny were to make you ambassador to the UN

George was Kenny's grandfather.
David was Kenny's father.

The Bernard's never own slaves in St. Lucia.
George was born fifty yrs. (50) after the slaves were let loss from hell-fire.

In Kenny and his brother's youthful days they used to go crab hunting, collecting mongos,
bathing in the River Doree, river with all the other country children, rolling tyre like every other boy in their area.
They know how to eat roasted Siwik(Bak)/Kwibich/ Zandji with roasted bwapen. those boys were the typical country boys, "all of it".
Kenny can be seen wearing his Africo-hair style like every other black boy in his days.
How many of those so-called St. Lucians can speak the Creole like him and his brothers?

I as a black man can identify with Kenny and his family.

Kenny's grandfather George great grandmother was a black slave in South Africa.

Thanks for this education – such an education in history-of-self can never be obtained from the European Educational system, and the consequences are mis-educated Negroes like Josie; well trained mongrels taught to pray to a Naked Caucasian dripping blood over their beds as their God.

This Gwe-yo/oral transmission of history was completely severed by the White god-in-flesh during the enslavement of the African, and today we have Africans naming/calling themselves Elizabeth, and George knowing nothing of their history, but simply interpreting all things through the implanted brain of the White Slave-Master, hating their own people like the prince Malcolm X, while obeying the Slave-Master's command by saying the Bible is the Word of his White God-in-flesh :
