That second Verse

Bulls eye! As in Robin Hood @ Nottingham:Prince John's Bow and Arrow Jamboree.

Instead of feet up, I imagined being in a cool hammock, strung between two new growth palm trees at the far end of Coco Dan beach (before the bypass river outlet for Hewanorra was engineered).

Yessiree, this "2nd verse" was sipped like a well crafted Margarita (the delicate balance between sweet & tart) at the aforementioned setting-during the dry season of kawem.

Even when wisps of melancholic blues tried to turn my sweet-tart Margarita- sour, the balance of humor and fact within the "2nd verse" kept my hammock ambiance-stabilized.

A most delicious if not therapeutic "pit stop" for harried riders on the rat race highway.

I had a very similar thought when the National Anthem played over Independence Celebrations this year ... albeit, my thought was not as entertainingly illustrated as you have it!

Very witty article. Much food for thought. Our politicians should give it a read. Not that they'd act on it. After all, they are Caribbean Politicians. Talking about politicians. Have you noticed the deafening silence among Caribbean " heads of government" about the issue of the "no confidence motion" in St kitts? Yet these same heads have much to say about infringements of constitutional rights of Haitians in the Demonican Republic. Talk about logg in your eye syndrome.

Beautiful, a great article. Will the leaders of St. Lucia listen or even read this great article. I would say "NOT". They will just go on fighting, bickering and crating havoc and corruption with the lovely Island that God has given the people. Shame, shame, shame.

Victor, you have always been one deeply entrenched in strife and discord. Think of the families you have destroyed with your back stabbing ways. I find it funny you have the nerve to write that article. Why, you have never even reached out to your own relatives who live in squalid conditions and need help. When are you going to do something to help others within your own family rather than sitting at the Voice and writing bull shit that makes no sense and cannot help people who are suffering.
