More and more it look as if King won't benifit from that John Compton thing. I hearing there is a move on the way to still hajack the Flambeau thunder. Yesterday I was talking to a partner who tell me that a new party John Compton Patriotic movement JCPM is about to form. I hear they bringing in new blood to fight the next elections. Anybody hearing anyting on that.

A statue of John Compton will make Rick Wayne turn green with envy.
Do we want that?

Anything or anyone that enjoys dising John Compton does well with Rick Wayne.

You see how much he likes Rufus and even promoting him for PM? Why would he Rick Wayne support anything that is going to keep John Compton's name alive?

There will never be a perfect time to embark on such a project, but there is a sense that this is definitely not the right time, esepcially if Government funds will be used. Sir John would not have given prioiity to doing this for anybody at a time like this. However, this is a prime opportunity for entities like SLASPA, LUCELEC and NIC, among others to show their appreciation for Sir John's role in their development.

The fact of the matter is Sir John is dead. There is no fathomable reason to honour him while we are facing dire economic straits. We can always erect a monument or other method of honour at a more appropriate time. Sir John will never be forgotten, St. Lucia will have the rest of its existence as time enough to thank Sir John for his contributions. I side with his daughter on this matter.
