Come on!! Are you really serious!!! "no one has been arrested"; "no one has been arrested"; "no one has been arrested"...get up your lazy behind and DO SOMETHING!!

This island has gone to the dogs. The train has left the station and there is no stopping it. What is the Minister of Home Affairs doing about all this? What is the new Police Commissioner, who only days ago, boasted of doing such GREAT WONDERFUL JOB, doing?

Maybe we should sell tickets to the "Annual St Lucia Police Ball".

Oh, thats right, The Police in St Lucia don't have balls.

Sigh...Police here are useless!!

But are the living victims and/or witnesses cooperating with the police? If not, then why not?

The living victims and witnesses are not cooperating with the police because when they do, and give the police names and or whereabouts of these useless hooligans, the police then turn around and tip off those hooligans about the victims and witnesses and tell them it is "this" and "that" who gave us your name...in simple, laymen, subject/verb agreement context...THAT IS WHY THE VICTIMS AND WITNESS DO NOT TURN TO THE POLICE WITH NAMES.

I reiterate; in simple language: St. Lucia's police CANNOT be trusted with the simplest of information...they pass on information given to them to anyone who would listen.

No one will probably ever be arrested for these incidents. From the pattern and frequency of these shootings, it's plain to see that the motive is revenge. Somebody is at war with somebody and the shootings will no doubt continue.

Is that the improvement our Commissioner blabbed about? Forty three homicides to date, and how many arrests? Seriously we have to be afraid for we know not where the next gunshot will come from or who it will be aimed at. Some of us would like to think we are immune..well, let us think again. Nobody is truly safe. We'd like to curse those whom we think are the perpetrators of these offences but the other four fingers point right back at us. Our leaders have no answers because they have no wisdom and no vision to deal with the matter. Do they still think the construction of ball courts and sports arenas will help to alleviate the problems? Find out what the problem is and the only way to do that is to communicate with the various communities. Stop dishing out orders and stop making stricter laws because these are just not helping.Trying to battle the blaze of guns on the streets with Police guns won't work either.Listen to people's concerns and deal appropriately with them. There are cries for help which continue to go unanswered. Our simplest solution seem to be"hang 'em high." There are certainly better solutions to these problems...our so called authorities are just too damn lazy to find these solutions. Too often have I heard,"Let the vagabonds kill each other." Hello, lest we forget these vagabonds are our people too and they leave their indelible marks on our island.

Is the same Govt whose Minister of Internal affairs promised St. Lucians he would reduce crime by 50%?If so then I anticipate he is on his way to see the PM to hand in his resignation honourable man that he is

I think its Kenny Anthonys fault that violent crime has become endemic on our Island. Why?because everything wrong in this Island is his fault, yes even Tomas was his fault. Can't wait to vote him out of Government. What he is not in power, well still his fault.

Some police are informing the gang leaders. One is in coat and tie deep within the cabinet.

St. Lucia stinks. It rots from the head.

They like it so. They even want their Choiseul jailbird to be premier.

OK, Here is the TRUTH.
In 1997 I told many people that CABLE TV would ruin the idyllic island of St Lucia. In 1995 there was 1 murder as I recall. When did cable arrive on St Lucia? I was right. Instead of Ti' Mange' they're watching NY gangsters and looking up to the wrong role models.
Start with the book of Romans in your Bible.
Cable exposed people to the rotten parts of the rest of the world.

The Lucian Peoples Movement (LPM) in order to provide St. Lucians with a safer and more secure environment will focus on the root cause of crime and violence in our society.

We will attend to matters concerning the mental health of some of our citizens who from time to time find themselves on the losing end of deadly confrontations with the police.

These individuals need help, they need care and they need our consideration. What they do not need is a confrontation with the police that will result in their earthly demise.

We the LPM will put the neglected and underserved neighbourhoods in St. Lucia on the front burner of our developmental strategy. No neighbourhood in St. Lucia should be without good roads, clean water, a functioning health center, a proper playing field and proper infant, primary and secondary schools.

How absolutely right you are, sir. The leader of the drug trade in St Lucia is right there in the UWP cabinet, in COAT AND TIE. Support his kinds, partying with them, boatriding with them, putting them on National Television, etc.

Then we are continuing to have convicted criminal in the UWP cabinet, acting as emperor, forcing puppet King to lavished him luxurious office spaces; such elevation - from a jail cell to most comfortable office space with ridiculous monthly fees; $135,000k/monthly.

Then the brouhaha of Mondesir...need I continue?

Truck driver, without the basic pre-requisite or command of the english language finally found himself a minister of government - what a show!! This could be a major broadway production!!

there are too many criminals as government ministers
so there will always have crime in the island

If the Lucian People Movement will truly provide St. Lucians with a "safe and secure environment" why is it the party has endorsed a rapist as its candidate? Prudent/LPM, you better de-endorsed Philip. Bon!

Yes indeed, you Lucians are getting exactly what you deserve. Hurricanes, Floods, earthquakes, violence, bloodshed etc. etc. etc. Remember/ Righteousness exalts a Nation. But SIN is a reproach to ANY NATION. You did, you did, you did. Now, it is payback time. You all allowed men who you know damn well, should never have led our nation. Homosexuals, drug-traffickers, cocaine peddlers, former United States Jail-Birds, Medical Records thieves and fraudsters, woman batterers, under-age children sex molesters, sometimes having sex with more then one under-age siblings, and all you Lucians, found it was alright in the morning, and that included your so-called CHRISTIAN COUNCIL. In other words, you thought and still believe that you can fool GOD ALMIGHTY. No, GOD is not mocked, and HE is no respecter of persons. Low or high.

Thank GOD for WIKILEAKS, we shall all see who JOHN COMPTON prounced upon Lucians as a Cabinet Minister, who established shell companies to launder drug money. Yes Lucians, get ready for reality. Film at 11 !

The Lucian People Movement (LPM)must clean its slate of candidates. It is morally wrong to include a rapist on the slate. What does that say about the LPM? After all who in Micoud South will vote for a rapist?
