Please Allan Chastanet, Tom Chou and Prime Minister Stephenson King, the spectacle unfolding is not genuine and “convenient at this time.”

The town has been deliberately sidelined and stagnant by design of the state hierarchy.

Therefore too expect Soufrierians to accept those same politicians, business advocates and petty bourgeois is disgusting.

Those persons have profit on the backs of the people with cheap labor on the plantations and in the hotel industry, in return for poor basic necessities of life such as food, water, health services and housing.

Maurice Christopher

A puppet and front for the slave masters, to little to late.

It is not " apparently it is convienient at this time for the party.:

Um, another one singing for his crumps!

A little too soon, too late!

Election ploy. What you, writer think, we are stupid and not know that is is just a ploy before elections?

By the time you'all finish singing for your'all supper, there won't have enough to go around for all of you.

Sing, sing, sing and sing a little bit more; perhaps your share of the crumps from thier table will be more as you happens to sing the loudest...shameless!!

Mon dieu, put a hand for Maurice Christopher.

Christopher, you call that progress. Is that, this little canal thing, all you deserve as a citizen of this island?

While you live and walk on this concrete, badly made pathway, Chastanet, on the other hand, drives on paved, golden, palm lined roads to his house at Choc. Are you not both citizens of this island and deserve the same?

Maurice Christopher, not surprising - your credibility and expectation of government representation is morally below par.

But then that's the UWP way of "convenient" hand-outs. Enjoy!!

Give T-Chas a chance and let's see what happens, Dalson had his time...time for change.

St Lucia is not up up for gamble, we should not give people any chance. Dalson was elect but we all know he couldn't have done much because he was in or is still in opposition. I always use to see and hear Dalson on radio and TV pleading for help to the government an behalf of the people of Soufriere. What they use to do instead of helping the people, they use to laugh at Dalson and make fun of him. Everybody use to see them live on TV during budget debates.

On the other hand Chastanet was full fledge minister of tourism for almost 5 yrs. Soufriere is considered to be the mega of tourism in St Lucia according to them, if Chastanet hand any interest helping the people of Soufriere he would have done it from the start of his tenure in offiice. Hurricane Tomas mashup up Soufriere, he did not try to fix the place with any haste. Only now on the eve of election, he is running up and down in Soufriere to try to see if he can buy and fool the people. I do not believe the People of Soufriere are stupid. Pouring some concrete on a road quickly and doing some hasty cleaning up should not be enough to bluff the people. In the first place this is not a favour, the people are paying their taxes and are entitled to all these things and more. Chastanet is being paid a heffty salary by the people of St Lucia to work for us, not only close to election to try to buy votes. We the people deserve better than that. You are being paid from day one, you must start to work from day one, not only on the eve of election. So that nonesense of "we are begining to see positive changes" is pure shate.

The racial bias shown to Chastanet is sickening.
Some people in Soufriere would rather wallow in a backward environment with Labour than go forward with Chastanet.

how do you explain that ?

Yes to bring race in the conversation, to try to get some sympathy for Chastanet. You talking about backwardness of labour and farwardness of Chastanet. Chastanet is a minister paid by us for almost a full 5 yr term, what has done to take you farward muchless the people of Soufriere? Answer that question. So just a couple of months before election, Chastanet remember there is a Soufriere. Oh! I just remember one of his greatest achievement in Soufriere is that he promised the poor people "Pain er Painier." That means Pain and more Pain.

Birds of a feather flock together!!!!!!!. If Chastanet had any pride, self worth and desency he would have never associate himself with that mess called the UWP.
(1) He is no different to them because he tried to defend their dishonesty by lying in the high court.

(2) How can he be with a leader who is bearly educated and cannot formulate any positive policy to take the country farward?

(3) A party with a scandal mostly every week of their 5 yr term.

(4) A party who made history with criminality in the country where three (3) of its MPs were actually arested for breaking the law, which includes stealing, what an achievement!!!!!!!

(5) A MP was was found guilty and convicted by the high court for stealing from the government purse.

(6) A MP took his government to court to obtain moneys because of his greed.

(7) A MP violated the traffic law in the city and his associate fought with a police.

(8) One member of cabinet who sit along side with Chastanet is actually an exconvict who was imprisoned in the USA for criminality.

(9) The latest scandal is the USA government has revoked the visa of a MP who is in cabinet with Chastanet for suspected drug involvement.
Etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.

This is the type of government. Chastnet want to associated with and we deserve in St Lucia? And you mean to tell me some people still have the guts to try to defend and support that type of government? A government who have done nothing of substance to improve our lives in St Lucia in almost 5 yrs? Apart from the Taiwanese building a few drains, footpaths and concrete courts here and there. Now they have even started to build some quick desperate concrete roads, because election is close. Nowhere around the world people build roads with concrete because concrete become very slippery and tend to cause accidents.

The current political environment in Saint Lucia is a rare opportunity that illustrates the ruling politician’s sin of Adam and Eve; fawning themselves with too many vested interests and a culture of arrogance and entitlement.
The current campaign techniques of subtle media manipulation, portraying Kings, Knights and Chronicle -- a crumbling establishment on television screens of the nation, to carefully crafted questions of daily events and carefully rehearsed tours of gamesmanship that reflect convenient emphasis and selected public mood is fiction.

Such illusions are counterproductive. Elections are much more serious, because the outcome affects people’s lives in so many ways.

Chastanet will win, I know that because Sulphur City dwellers are the smartest people ever.

It seen you are only interested in Chastanet wining. What about saying the people of Soufriere winning for once. Its all about Chastanet winning!!!!!! Well Chastanet had his chance, he has won everything he has to win already because we have been paying him for 5 years. What has he done during that 5 yrs for us the poor people in soufriere? We have not forgotten the first thing he did was to fire 9 of our poor tour guides. He has to pay for that don't. Worry. If Chastanet had any intention of doing anything for Soufriere he would have done it during his 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year in office, he was collecting his big salary all that time from us. How come it's at the end of his 5 yr term when he need votes from us he is just remembering that there are people in Soufriere. He cannot fool us or buy our votes, we are not for sale. Dalson stood with us through thick and thin, he cried for us, he begged the UWP for us, he was rediculed by the UWP for us, they called him all kinds of names. Where was Chastanet?
