What is the context of this statement by the National Trust. Poor Mr. Tulsie, what has Richard Frederick done to him (I saw that coming, you know).

... and just by the way, why was the National Trust so silent on the sale of our Green Space (by the Environment Minister) to an Italian company to establish a "restaurant"?

From Mr. Tulsie's silence on that, I knew something was up and now this Press Release (out of nowhere) on the PMA.

People, Saint Lucia is in trouble. Fear and intimidation is speaking loud and clear in our once happy and free Saint Lucia

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Poor Mr. Tulsie. One foreigner trying to do right for St. Lucians who are afraid to appear to support him. Maybe one day a politician will come along who will acknowledge the years of hard work Mr. Tusie has put in and perhaps nominate him for one of those shiny medals from the big house. For now he has to continue being afraid but still do his job.

Among its mandte, the Trust is expected to act in an advisory capacity to Government on heritage conservation issues. This means, inter alia, opposing actions that compromise, and supporting those that promote heritaghe conservation. With regards to the PMA, we recently received the WHC report and, as we have done with previous reports, commented on the outcome in the media. This time the WHC commended Government on acions taken and offered its assistance to further strengthen management of the PMA. Good job, and we must say so, don't you think?

When issues arise, our first course of action is to write to the relevant aauthorities to express our concerns, make recommendations and where necessary and possible, convene meetings to resolve issues. If they are resolved satisfactorily, the matter is laid to rest and we report the actions we took and the outcome to our members. This is what happened with the greeen space matter, except that the meeting to report to members will be in early October. I am not saying that the green space matter was resolved because of our intervention, but it was resolved to our satifacttion, and we hope it stays that way.

I hope that Anonymous is a member of the Trust and if not, please vsist www.slunatrust.org to download an application form. We need the support of all who share our belief that we can pursue a development path which does not erodde the essence of who mwe ar as a people and a county. There is nothing political about what we do.
