Phil Collins saw something similar and wrote a hit entitled, 'Another Day in Paradise.' UWP is the party creating a culture of handouts and beggars, while the ministers get rich and become millionaires overnight. The thousands of idiots and retards in this country will vote them in again to get more handouts at election time only to starve for nearly five more miserable years. St. Lucia is a hell hole. St. Lucians have no sense of pride and no sense of shame. Some of our retards see nothing fundamentally wrong with children begging about in our streets. That's Third World my God. That's where we are! What is the next approved anti-social behaviour? Gangs of young thieves roaming our streets?

I mean no offence to you, but here is my spin.
I believe 'Lions Park' would have been more conducive to artistic work.
However, you could have lost much more than a dollar to a gun or knife bandit. You may have been lucky!
If the song you are writing is a calypso, there should be no hurry. The local stations will not play it until during the two weeks before next carnival (if you are lucky)!
