"We have had sufficient time to undertake the job of arming the general population with literacy and to have given them reasons to exercise the franchise at elections."

Oh yes? Well then, tell us how come St. Lucians are still so God damn IGNORANT, that all they want at election time is rum and chicken legs, and now TAIWANESE corruption $100-bills to clear their freaking heads for guidance on how to vote?

Why didn't quibble then, when that foreigner Compton would put 'broomsticks' like the two Bousquet Brothers in constituencies as representatives. All the voters had to do was to look for the 'Flambeau' sign and put their T-Croix. Their voting decision done. Storm in a teacup my big toe!

Yeah man! Sing Josie, sing!

The more I read what Josie write the more I see Jose is finished and he is getting or he is already mad. Josie want to tell us to abolish symbols, but he never told us what should replace these symbols. Josie has contested many elections in St Lucia he always had a symbol, he never saw it had to be abolish then, now he is out and he has no use for any symbol he want it to be abolish. He never dress in any other party colour on his platform, not he is advocating that. Josie if you do not have nothing to do go to meet Gadaffi (speling) in the willdeness, because that was where you and your gang was about to send our young people. Do you remember?

Why stop at party colours and party symbols? Let do away with the party system.perty colours. party symbol, party system.
Let's get to the root of the matter.

It is not so much the party system as is the lack of the monitoring and enforcement of the laws concerning corruption (which also need to be revised). Constitute a 'proper' integrity commission with teeth and see if those T-fing &%#@*$ won't all go to jail!
However, if things remain, how about the same symbol of a donkey's behind in the relative colours for all the parties, and the use of the middle finger for the (having voted) black ink stain which we can proudly display afterwards?
The non voters would not be denied the right to display their unstained agricultural implements also!

A high ranking official said to me "We cannot give any symbols without scrutiny (due diligence?). what if someone requested the 'soul of an are'?"
I wonder who scrutinizes the candidates since there are so many are souls seeking to be elected!

You labourites like calling stlucians ignorant and I hope stlucians realize that a labour administration will treat then just the same (ignorant people)

The UWP parasite politicians regard the voters as foolish idiots. Same difference! This is one time UWP speaks the truth. Those same foolish idiots will vote for them again!

Abolish what? Why don't Josie abolish himself with his foolishness? Josie I was one of your biggest supporter in the 70's but now I am becoming sicker and sicker with your nonsense. I am so ashamed of who you have become. You use to look and sound so genuine in the 70's. Josie get back to your senses.

Don't blame Josie. Blame Compton, Louisy, Cenac, Pilgrim, Kenny --big time-the so called forward thinking mess, and King for doing nothing about the backward laws in the country.

Don't blame Josie my foot, we fought so hard with Josie and the SLP to get them into government for them to make all the changes he is now talking about. We gave them a 2\3 majority. What did they do? They mashup the government and side back with the same Compton to get him back into office, who we fought so hard to get out of office.

You are sounding as if St Lucia is a communist state and only the leaders have the power. Josie has been elected more than all the leaders you mentioned. He have been a minister of government in both of the main parties in St Lucia. He have won elections in two different constituencies. So Josie had more than enough chances to contribute to the changes he is now talking about. That only shows us that people like Josie are more effective on the outside looking in than on the inside.
