In other words, in St. Lucia, it's still who you know and not what you know that will allow one to move forward. As a result, individuals get into positions where they don't belong, deserving individuals get frustrated, productivity suffers and scarce resources are wasted. This is St. Lucia where we are happy and backward.

Sad, sad reality in St.Lucia. Talk about square pegs in round holes...what is Fletcher a qualified and trained horticulturist doing as Minister of Technology, energy etc? I saw Dr. Raymond's experience on the SLP site and it reads that the man was very qualified in the field of energy, communication not to mention his training and experience as an Economist. What have we come to in St.Lucia? When will this level of mediocrity stop. Emma for Leader!!!!

This article speaks nothing else but the truth and nothing but the truth. When will we appreciate the educated ones who are suppose to jumpstart progress? The SLP was said to have been a party of intellects and PhD's but something is really wrong when a PhD PM does not seem to appreciate PhDs and MD's (remember Pep and Dr. Raymond). What does that say about his PhD degree? OOOOooopps.
