great suggestions, although the list of requirements should be part of the form. making this form available on government websites would also make life much easier for those of us based overseas.

glad someone has taken some time to put a modicum of thought into what should be a fairly simple process to manage.

sigh. you'd think it was rocket science. and don't let me get started on the registries.

Simple things that would make such a difference. Now tell me, nobody can see the need to implement these things? In this day and age?

Let's not think in dreams, even if we mean well. If there is a population of 168,000 and all of us must go to one room in Castries to get a passport, it cannot be anything but utter nonsense.

Just imagine that there was only one bank in Castries where we all had to go for an ATM card; just imagine there was only one doctor's office, only one supermarket, only one bakery, only one police station, only one health center in Castries where we all must get service; would that be ok? If not, then it is not ok to have only one passport office.

Every Post Office, Community center, Multi-purpose center, and all the other "centers" that are publicly funded must be the office for Passports, ID card, birth certificate, driver's permit, tax clearance and so on. I refer to all the documentation that people must have to work productively. But then in Saint Lucia, there is a lack of connection between service, time, productivity and success.

May I add, these are the type of solutions decentralization was designed for.

"If you want something you never had, then you must be do something you never did!"

I rest my case, feel free to bash me if that helps.

The passport office reeks of bad management!! From the minister whose ministry is responsible right down to the civil servant put behind the counter to "serve".

Time is overdue on getting rid of this archaic type of service meted out to its "customers".

Maybe a "petition" might help?

St.Lucia is too laid back they take everything for granted. You go to the Hospital for an emergency you got to wait your time even if it means death, at the Airport departure is torture,the Banks, Post Office, Registry, Treasury they should just shut down St.Lucia you can only get what you want 4 a cut and that's no joke.Mr this and Mr that will get what they want for themselves and friends in two twos but little Miss Muffet will sit their arse on their tuffets for years no one gives a damm.I rest my case.
