Kenny’s cap in hand expedition

SLP was brought into office because there is a perception out there that letters 'PM' really stand for 'Prime Mendicant'. Saint Lucians will select the party or government that can successfully beg better than the other.

How do you call that short Mr. ambassador at large?

Who was Kenny Anthony's advisor in his second term? On whose advice was a hotel not built in Vieux Fort, the area is now a populated slum?

Who was chairman of Bank of St Lucia for the better part of SLP’s second term in office? Who was chairman of the National Development Corporation, (NDC) for that period? Who was St Lucia’s ambassador at large with a diplomatic passport?

And what did St Lucia achieve, and by extension the people, by allowing one person and family to have so much power and authority?

The Prime Minister is a bloody waste of time.

He has not got a clue about matters of finance or economics. He is completely out of his league.

The Chastanets' TWO-FOR-THE-PRICE-OF-ONE political bandwagon and machine is one the move.

I hope people are beginning to see the predictable and the long-ago predicted fate of this country retracing the steps of our legacy hand-me-downs.

There you have it. Another DYNASTY in the making that only country-bookies can worship.

A son with hands on the wheel, and this supposed driver taking instructions from the father in the backseat.

Greater honesty, ethical behaviour and moral discipline would have dictated that honest brokers in the local political sphere would not stoop so low and to this level of chicanery.

Besides, the people of this country ought to be a tad more sophisticated than the last time, to be well aware by now, that the ballot paper will have had, by the look of things and up to now, just ONE Chastanet and NOT two.

If the father wants the legitimacy to run the country, he should contest a seat in the legislature by himself.

It is time to get rid of our colonial political hand-me-downs!

Good Lord! Haven't we suffered enough already?

Yeah, he should write and talk about the exorbitant prices of goods on his supermarkets' shelves.

Praying to god day in, day out, that Allen Chastanet would N E V E R become PM of St. Lucia.

Maybe UWP is counting on create electoral history and precedent.

But somebody should tell our very politically backward, dim-witted, and foolish Saint Lucians that the current ballot paper, as designed after and informed by the laws of Saint Lucia, does not allow for a father and son to be voted for by writing in a single "X" on the ballot and for the same constituency.

The time for our usually accepted JAB-EN-SAC politicians is long GONE.

Do spare the rest of us any further and future embarrassment. Please!
