It's hard enough trying to get Jamaica to cooperate with us moving forward with CSME, we don't need to take the same attitude they had back when their dollar was equal to the US.
We can benefit from their educated populace, plus they have a great job market which St. Lucians can take advantage of.
Are we going to wait until all of us here in the Caribbean are in similarly bad shape before we say, "Let's unite to help one another."?
Anyway, perhaps we're trying to bite off more than we can chew, I say, the OECS has been a great success for its nine members, we should work on strengthening that union and making it an economic and political union.
Each island should still have their sovereignty just like the EU though, to preserve the nuances in our cultures.

The OECS is like a colony of ants working together with a common goal and everything is fine, we don't need any grasshoppers.
Could you elaborate more on what you are saying?

We don't want the big island states, ecpecially Jamaica and Guyana. Their economies are in bad shape and their people are too violent.
