It is a necessity and no matter what happens, the torch on our coat-of-arms guarantees to light our paths. Fair Helen will always be the fairest Isle of all the Earth. You don't light a candle only to put it under a bowl, you know.
How much is the cost of the deals with the airlines? How come the honest minister of tourism cannot disclose the figures. Yet, a lot of the tourists are going to his friend's Sandals Resorts. THAT IS THE FOOLISHNESS THAT LUCIANS ARE SO TOLERANT OF ALL THE TIME.
"the torch on our coat-arms guarantees to light our paths"...
That sure does sound like a lot of flambeau propaganda, but then again UWP has never appeared to be completel politically motivated in their stints in Government, right down to inserting a flambeau into our coat of arms.
As for the airport, the issue is not whether it is needed but whether we are getting value-for-money and whether this is not just another huge slush fund to put our money undeservedly into the hands of politicians and their cronies. I still challenge SLASPA to come clean with the baseline documentation such as the master plan and feasibility study. Not even that we the public have received as yet.
"Miami gateway which has registered several expansions is bursting at its seams. For statistical information during the Olympic Games set to take place in 2016, American Airlines alone will be introducing 180 flights each day and nothing would please the American Airlines hierarchy more than having a backup at Hewanorra to take the pressure off the Miami gateway."
Will AA really want to use a hub where passengers are charged $60US to use the airport. ($35US for the the new expansion and $25US in departure tax). Surely they'd want a lower cost hub.
im all for this project i do believe this will put us on the map big time clearly our facility will b better dan barbados have yall seen the designs im just waiting to see the full model
Hey Big Chas...you must stop swallowing the crap your son is feeding you. Or is it the other way around? Why would AA ignore its hub in Puerto Rico and use Hewanorra as a back-up?
We all agree Hewanorra needs an upgrade, but let's not overdo things.
While you're at it, explain to us how Ti Chas can oppose the UK tax and agree to a US$35 increase in airport tax.

We spend $380 million on Hewanorra. What then will we do with George F. L Charles?
Hewanorra as a back-up for Miami Int'l? Is Chastanet mad?

George Charles airport must remain operational.
As a tax payer I will have no objection whatsoever if GFL Charles Airport is iced.
