The police should act promptly to apprehend that certain prominent business person and charge him with conspiracy to commit murder.
Time is of the essence

I would like to think aloud. The fact that the Prime Minister had to be told of the incident means that it has to be one of his round-table members. If I was in Claudius' place there is no way the PM had to know about the hit and by whom as it would be a police matter and would follow police procedures but informing the PM would leave a very small number of persons paying to kill Claudius- I am sure most Lucians would have a certain person in mind like I have but the culprit is off island as usual.Lock up the criminal and you will see we will have a decrease in murders!!!

But Lucia Boy what we not sure of is whether that prominent person is a flambeau, financing the elections, ect cause if claudius is a labar, i am supposing labar would not want his life right?. And if just if the PM and national Security minister knows that "prominent citizen". This thing is a whole mess and trust me its silly season and flambeau will do anything to remain in office. TRUST ME!!!

Why is everyone so scared to say the individual’s name? Please who is this prominent individual. We St Lucians need to form an independent watchdog group with no affiliation to UWP or SLP; whose only allegiance will be to the St Lucian people. St Lucians cannot depend on the ill trained police force to protect us anymore, is there need for more evidence.

Who kill Michael Fedee. Good Point. Guy Mayers know who. Compton warn them of that person. Let's see what are we made of as a people. we cry about the criminals on the ground look who is leading them

With every passing day the Government continues to harbour criminals. When will King ever have the gonads to do what it takes. The only business King could have in this matter is if one of his own men were directly ivolved. Will King ever act? Does he fear for his own life too? Why doesn't he act? Its sad that it has all come to this Mr. King but this is what happens when you don't stand up from the beginning. Its pretty much all over now, but yet your hunger for power will keep you weak, bound and incapable of action.

St. Lucia has indeed fallen from a great height and I wonder if any of the so called pundits talking daily on radio and or television are abel to point the finger at themselves as part of the problem.

Their output has been nothing but roro, maypuis and slander contributing to the breakdown of society.

This whole story is fishy.

Who is the individual who ordered the hit ? If he has ordered a hit on a St. Lucian citizen then why is he not under arrest since he may now be ordering hits on other citizens?

Why is this a big secret among the same people who have helped to destroy St. Lucia including an ineffective politically polarized police force with its own factions and a talk show host known for his favourite saying " I do not care what you call me, as long as you call". He now has his full 15 mins of fame.

The information we have been told or not told, the manner in which this has been handled is all rotten and compromised.

Only a fool would believe any of this unless there is more proof because St. Lucia has become too compromised and the players in this farce are the worst of the lot.

St. Lucia is indeed in trouble , crime is rampant and this is just more garbage on the pile.
How far we have come since the days of Sir John.

Since Sir John did he not have an affair with an underage child...is that not a crime also...laughable our national hero commited crimes....go figure

dutty politics nothing more... why not say the person name? afraid of getting sued?

I doubt this has anything to do with politics or the politicalization of crime in St Lucia. This gentleman has been threatened by someone in high society - I am assuming he went public with this so people can be aware of his plight and in the event that the unthinkable happens—the police will know where to begin their lines of enquiry.

They say out of evil commeth good. There might be something positive coming out of this. This police will now focus their attention like never before on trying to identifying Claudius’s tormentor. The hullabaloo this report has effected is totally justified. The police should leave no stones unturned in getting to the bottom of this. For too long criminals have been ruling with an iron fist up and down this country - expunging anything or anyone who stands in their way.

With all the latest killings and other gun-related crimes, now is the time for the police to show us what they are made up of. Show us your crime-fighting mettle. Claudius has opened a can of worms which needed to be opened. For too long Lucians have been prisoners in their own homes and communities. Many are too afraid to speak out for fear of being blotted out while criminals run havoc and onslaught after onslaught on our towns and villages. This has to stop and if anything there is a lesson to be learned here.

Claudius needs to be commended for having the temerity to speak out against this cancer that is eating away at our splendid isle.He has done us all a favour as a high profile figure by affording this the prominence it deserves. Now that it is in the limelight there is no getting away from it. Investigations will have to be carried out: Old cases reopened: stop and searches carried out: crooked cops uprooted and replaced: A whole new approach towards law enforcement in St Lucia. This needs to be cogent and Robust. No stones should be left unturned in letting the crimelords and scumbags know we mean business. Thank you Claudius!

I think it is about time St Lucia’s Home Secretary be removed and be replaced with someone who will take a tought line on crime and the causes of it. The secretary of state is responsible for maintaining law and order and to date not much is being done under his leadership to curtail the crimewave that is hiting the country. This man is living in cloud cuckoo land. He is all words and no action. He is simply too soft for this high profile position.

St Lucia needs a home secretary who will be truly responsible for its internal affairs. One who is robust, incorruptible and vigorous. The only person that springs to mind at this moment is Richard Frederick, The MP for Central Castries. I don’t know Richard personally but from what I have read and heard about him, he seems to fit this criteria. I listened to one of his programmes one time and was fairly impressed with him. He was articulate and sharp. He answered the legal questions accordingly. He did not beat around the bush nor did he lead anyone up the garden path.

A beefy figure he is pugnacious and can strike fear into the hearts of the criminals. His voice is punctuated with a sandpapery grittiness which is sufficient to discourage criminal overtures. Richard has carried himself well. He is passionate about St Lucia, and wants to serve his country in every capacity. He has a face that is alive with enthusiasm. What more can one ask?

We need to get a grip of the crime situation. St Lucia simply cannot afford to allow criminals to dictate proceedings. We need to take our streets back from the crimelords who rule with impunity. These thugs have no regard for law and order and will go to any lengths to settle scores and unveil mayhem into our already fragile communities. In this war on crime we need to win hearts and minds. Everyone must play their part if we are to take back our communities from the inescapable claws of these ruthless scumbags. Mr. King Give Richard The Job.

Serve all of you right. You were only speaking when it mattered to you and your friends. Convenient talk. Some of you ratish journalists are the ones that have this country in this mess.

I am tempted to describe this crap talk, as moonbat hysterical hyperbole coming to the surface, like scum on a pond.

Funny how things work out when you're a DICK.

You've got input there,share it.

Got baloney and anger to share, grow up and be real.
