Vieux Fort south, Vieux Fort north and Laborie are all SLP strongholds. Are you Labour leaning or are you afraid of the 'Leader for Life' Kenny?

Anonymous said...

Not LPM, I hear their gunning for Kenny's head.LOL

Anonymous said...

What is your point or what are you trying imply by always refering to Kenny as leader for life? Which party in St Lucia you ever see changing their leader just because they lost an election? Did UWP ever changed their leader when they lost elections? Compton only played he retired when he knew he and his party would have lost the election, and he came back beccause he knew some St Lucians have a short memory.

How can Kenny be a leader for life when he was elected to his position? Instead of talking nonesense about SLP leadership which has no problems and was duely elected. You must take a close look ot the UWP leadership, which is in turmoil. UWP is just holding on together just because they want to remain in office, but there is no unity among them. Jeannine said that when she was among them. How was King made PM? Was there ever an election to make King leader of the UWP? So you cannot fool anybody with your leadership for life nonesense.

You must check Fred Rick and ask him why he lost his U S visa? I think that would the best thing to investigate instead of studying the solid SLP leadership, which has no problems.

Vote splitting will be interesting. For example, we just got a majority Government in Canada with only 40% of the votes and 60% was split between the other parties.

Anonymous said...

Any body that serve for more than 2 terms as a leader of a party can be considered a leader for life. On the list with Papa doc, Sir John, Eric Williams, Gairy, and our newest addition to that list is Kenny Anthony.

Anonymous said...

KDA and my fellow brothers and sister in the SLP must be very careful. This LPM and NDM parties could do a number on them. We must not take them fellas lightly. We have to compete for every vote or the UWP could be return to power.

I know some of our followers might think we okay but I want to advise the party that this could be muddy with people frustrate at every politican in the country.

Anonymous said...

Kenny is leader for life for the SLP lemmings. They can see no other person who can lead them.

That man has ABSOLUTELY NO NEW IDEAS. He has not said how he is going to put what and what in place to prevent is mickey financial decisions like Rochamell and laughing public officials crooking the money, in fact beggging him to help them to be honest at the NCA.

Great economist that he is, he 'salvaged' a project that would have gone on without government help to the tune of 45 MILLION DOLLAR.

Kenny is the most efficient money manager in St. Lucian history.

St. Lucians, like little children we love punishment. Why not just give us more and more of Kenny for as long as he lives, just like UWP gave us Compton, who gave us Local Dudus, the Drug Baron, and the ex-US jailbird and our Choiseul orange jumpsuit con-artist, Bruce Tucker?

Anonymous said...

The only person of any serious leadership and management substance in the NDM is Dauvergne, and Dove himself knows this. Why doesn't he join Labour if he's really serious about a new St. Lucia? He would take over from Kenny in no time and be the best PM St. Lucia ever had!!! Dove, do the right thing and arrange with Kenny and Leo to join Dee Party. Veronica is welcome! No matter your own infelicities, you would soon get our vote to be SLP's new leader, if Mr. Pierre can agree. A serious Economist and Engineer like you would not do the shit that Kenny did with the taxpayers money. We would just give Kenny the Education ministry after the SLP victory in December 2011. You would be our Minister of Finance and Planning! No more square pegs in round holes. Join the SLP buddy!! There is still time. Remember to bring Vero. Good luck. PIMPA.

Sorry. I have one vote and it is going to either the LPM or NDM which ever one impress me more when this thing start. I have vote for Kenny twice, flambeau one, and I am sick of both of them. No Kenny, no Flambeau for me this time around.

Mr dAuvergne, you have a change of heart. That is very good, you have deprived these young people parents you want to support now, the opportunity to make a better life, by denying scholarships to them and giving it to the haves. These parents were qualified to get them. What an irony now you need support, think again. were you aware that education equals freedom.

Anybody with half a brain will know that any other party, or independent canndidate entering the election race will only be a disadvantage to the UWP and will only take UWP votes. That is a fact, it happened in Micoud South once, the only time SLP won there. This time SLP will win in Micoud North for the first time because of Jeannine who will split UWP votes. SLP will also win in Dennery North because the votes will be split there.

Nobody is saying Kenny was good with our money, but all the money Kenny lost was when he was trying to bring in investment or work into the country. Rochamel he brought a huge hotel where hundreds of St Lucia are now gainfully employed. NCA people were gainfully employed and the country was kept very clean. Atlest something came out from these moneys.

Now we have a government which these bias St Lucians are not talking about, who have borrowed about a billion dollars and nobody have seen what they have done with that money. Everything is Kenny, Kenny, Kenny. You know i cannot imagine how an intelligent person can tell me they supporting the the UWP after having a scandal nearly every week for the last 4 3\4 yrs. They started with 11 MPs now they bearly holding with 9. Their latest scandal is the U S revoking the visa of one of their MPs. You could fool some of the people some of the times but you cannot fool all the people all the time, remember that.

This is Flambeau time once again.

I hope these political candidates will work within the law and not buy votes as we know the two main parties do. It is against electoral law to give peole rum and other inducements to get their votes. Of course its only the stupid and ignorant that are bought, the these would be... or are currently politicians cannot think that all St. Lucians lack the brain power to work out what is going on. It is an criminal offence, so the buyer and the reciever are both guilty (mind you of course I forgot that politicians are above the law) Please keep the fight form seats clean, and free from corruption.

Ausbert D' Auvergne is the same man who associated with the unsavory elements in the UWP. He was instrumental in their 2006 campaign. He is a big reason why we arre suffering right now under this present regime. He supported them , feasted with them, played with them, he was ONE of them. Now he wants to make it seem like he is some good man for my vote? Nope Dove. How do I know he won't revert back to his viral 2006 UWP ways?

Anonymous said...

All the official records of Ausbert D'Auvergne in particular his dishonesty whilst serving as a Permanent Secretary and the famous Blom Cooper Commission of Inquiry Report are all well known by all the Diplomatic Corps from whom Saint Lucia receives financial support. I am told that it passes as a sick joke on St. Lucia in diplomatic circles that D'Auvergne could be so barefaced and disrespectful to St. Lucians as to put himself up with jokers like those listed as leaders for St. Lucia.

What a sorry state St. Lucia is in. It is indeed a sick joke.

Meow..... this is not a UWP and SLP ting people. Election 2011 is about restoration, national development and pride in ourselves and country. It is about restoring democracy - the UWP and SLP divide has made us arrogant and helps us perpetuate the lack of democracy and rampant victimisation in our motherland. It's nice to know that NDM is back. Another evil some may say regarding its current leader, but it widens the scope of debate and depth of engagement - Mr D'Auvergne believes in quality performance and is committed to NATIONAL Development (sharing the economic pie with the North, South, East and West - perhaps the only Lucian politician to preach that). It is still early to give a fair comment on the organisation as it is now constituted, but it is refreshing knowing that we have new faces such as Vivi (former senior public servant). I await the announcement of the other candidates. It is interesting that if we seem to have been left to select the best out of the camps of the 4 evils, who knows we might get the best of the good among them as well. Remember all have sinned so we will find none squeeky clean. May God bless St Lucia and all of us St Lucians particularly our four Leaders most of whom we are so quick to call evil. Meow, Meow.....

A vote for SLP is a vote for China; and a vote for UWP is a vote for Taiwan.
So, who do we rather be a colony of, China or Taiwan?

Personally, I prefer Taiwan.

Anonymous said...

With regards to Ausbert all he has been accused of is trying to do his job; due to the nature of his last portfolio he had to wield power--economics is power. Let us hope he takes advantage of this blunder by UWP to dismiss him and make it a campaign issue in this upcoming elections.

A lot has transpired in the past few weeks but I am afraid that St. Lucians have learnt very little.

The walkout in the House by the St. Lucia Labour Party, the Wikileaks cable drops on Dr. Anthony, Rufus Bousquet and Fredericks and the denying of Richard Fredericks personal and diplomatic visas.

The roromiesters in St. Lucia like the sociopath on one of the HTS shows have come out with their party hack spin concerned only with their support of their failed political parties. African tribalism.

As usual the leader of the SLP has thrown words at one more woman when he left the House and addressed the Speaker.

The US in the Wikileaks document had to tell us how incompetent Kenny is , as if we do not know ourselves. But let us read the tea leaves properly. That was then during the Bush Administration - this is now. The denying of the Fredericks visia was a clear political play this close to a St. Lucian National Elections.

There are political advisory connections between the SLP and the failed and flailing liberal socialist Obama Administration whose disastereous policies in the next few months combined with the failed socialist agenda in Europe will soon impact St. Lucia horribly. More job losses, less money to borrow. The world and St. Lucia are at a crosswords and the hopeless and inept Obama liberal policies , akin to the failed Caribbean political model can lead to another recession much worst than the last.

The Americans have intervened directly in our Elections. They were clearly aware that this action so close to the National Elections would have consequences. Make it clear I am not in any way against their views on Fredericks. He is a clear and present danger to St. Lucia and an indecent individual - and that is putting it nicely. He should never have gotten anywhere near to elective office -John Compton tried to avert this but our now wayward people thought otherwise including the supposedly conservative voters of San Sousi and environs.

Some suggest that the Americans are giving King a chance to fire Fredericks. That is not the case they are playing to their failed liberal ideology and supporting one of their failed comrades in Kenny Anthony.

King is too weak and amoral to fire Fredericks. He will do as he usually does and wait it out hoping for the best. Fredericks has been shaken to the core and will fight because out of office he is weaker. The United States usually get their man. Look at Noreiga, Hussain, Dudus and Buju Banton of Jamaica.

The only reason they have not revoked Bousquet's visa also is that he has already served his time for his federal crimes and appears to have no linkage to drugs.

Have we learnt as a people? Absolutely not. King is reflective of St. Lucians. Look at him and you see yourselves.

Does Bousquet actually have a visa anonymous?

Well what is left after Richard Frederick sells all that he can of the Queen's Chain, Dove going to take or sell the rest. He started this. He did all this with the blessings of the Saint, Saint John Compton of Cananouan Islet, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. One of these days St. Vincent will claim St. Lucia as one of its islands.

Blogger above, I say AMEN to that comment. Except that I will add, not DOVE, you mean a CORBEAU. Shameless individual. Rotten and corrupt to the core. Demonic, if you ask me. High Science wretch.

Imagine a blogger said, Ausbert D'Auvergne was trying to do his work. Get the world a copy of the BLOM COOPER COMMISSION OF INQUIRY REPORT. He sold much information about John Compton to individuals in the Press, so they culd protect his rear-end from exposure of his own corruption.

D'Auvergne will get the final nail in his coffin come election time. That is how his plan for complete demolition has been planned.

Sometimes we write without even thinking and we engage in foolishness, But the real issues that face us, we don't even take the time to think or ask what is the way forward.
St lucia has been bleeding and our present leadership Stinks.
We should ask ourselves these question,
Where do i want st lucia to go five years from now, Especially at the pace it is now.

Looking at all these persons who wants to be prime minister, their parties and the qualification of the individuals running.
In this fast changing world, Which of the party has the most qualified persons to lead st lucia.
Which of the party and their leadership will be able to articulate a message for all st lucians.
Now with the two other party such as lpm and ndm,and their leadership.Isn't this a big gamble on our future.
Looking at the four individuals who wants to be prime minister.
We ought to ask ourselves for the future of our myself and our children Which of these persons is qualified to give st lucia the leadership, the experience, the Education Domestic, Round the caribbean as well as international affairs.
Lets be true to ourselves and fair helen.
We cannot afford to send little children to do grown up job
Times have change and this world is changing and we need leadership in this country of ours,
Not corruption and those who will put themselves and their cronies plus their family first.
Lucian people first.

People power said...

thats a sad situation anonymous September 18th @ 8.25pm. It means that we the people need to take government away from the best evils of all the party evils. We need to give executive ofice to the best good guys from their camp and other we figure might serve their country with respect and honour. So the journalists can help the calypsonians and rather than writing about evils which seem to make the evil doers look like stars, please brothers write about the positive potentials in our midst and encourage the people to cry for honourable men fior tomorrow. Maybe in the lead up to election we can encourage the people to have non-party discussions on the country's affairs. We nay also want to start nominating persons of integrity and with the capacity for leadership and good governance (some of whom fear sullying their reptutations under the banner of the party colours). People like Dame Pearlette (wonderful woman) who can hold their heads high and remain a respected mentor. So MG George let the nominations begin.

The US State Department's comments on Kenny Anthony as sent by their embassy in Bridgetown , Barbados said the folllowing according to Wikileaks:

Ҧ10. (C) Despite the positive mood of the day's events, post
considers PM (Kenny)Anthony AN UNRELIABLE PARTNER whose commitment
to security responsibilities consists of SELF-CONGRATULATIONS
and COSMETIC SOLUTIONS such as replacing local police
commanders with British police officers (Ref A), without
insuring the logistical or political support the law
enforcement personnel need. Post's interagency Law
Enforcement Working Group believes that St. Lucia's security
forces are actually one of the better performing groups in
the eastern Caribbean. The forces' effectiveness could
benefit, however, from the replacement of several individuals
in leadership positions. The Prime Minister (Kenny Anthony) has not seen fit
to make those changes.

¶11. (C) As in the matter of the delayed Article 98 signature,
PM (Kenny) Anthony refuses to take responsibility for realizing
security commitments while declining to delegate or
relinquish the authority needed to meet them. In observing
his interaction with his own citizenry throughout the day,
Ambassador Kramer concluded that PM (Kenny )Anthony is not interested
in acting locally or leading globally; his (Kenny Anthony's) sole focus seems
to be on maintaining his position rather than providing a
vision for St. Lucia's future.

Imagine that no one wants to quote this or put it in the press for St. Lucian's to see.

What about the other Wikileaks document that said that Rufus , who became an MP and Minister under fraudelant circumstances, Bousquet went to the Americans to try and ensure that St. Lucians did not hear about his incarceration in the USA ?

Where is the press on all of this ?

Anonymous said...

It's amazing how even intelligent sounding people so easily buy into the discourse without thinking. I am a St Lucian with a little brain power. I question everything before coming to a conclusion. Why have some of us quickly bought into the 'best of two evils' talk? I haven't. For me, no political party is perfect, just as no man or woman is an angel. However, we have a clear choice, who in the SLP has gone to jail; has cheated the country of revenue by not paying taxes or duties; has broken the financial laws of the land by refusing to put monies into the consolidated fund or a special fund set up for disbursement; has openly defied the police; has lied in a court of law; has colluded to cover up the misdeeds of one of their fellow MPs; has taken hurricane relief given to the country to his private dwelling place etc. etc.

Because I am a critical thinking I refuse to buy into the foolishness about 'the best of two evils'.

Now I know there are those with their list for the SLP. I invite them to present it and let us assess both qualitatively and quantitatively whether we are indeed talking about 'the best of two evils'

Anonymous said...

To Anonymous Sept. 19th 6:34 am,

No one wants to put it in the press because the Press which is generally pro UWP is aware that in this case, the US is wrong. During the time of the SLP, the police were given a tremendous amount of support both human resource and material, a study was commissioned to look at long term solutions to crime, social programmes such as NSDC, PRF, USE, were developed to ameliorate the lives of the underprivileged and to make them self sufficient, the forensic lab was constructed to help solve crime, the Roving Care Givers programme was brought in to give disadvantaged children the right start in life in order to become productive members of the society.

Unfortunately, some people will not see these steps as crime fighting measures. This is where we have continued to go wrong. Instead, lets's call in Rambo, arm him with high powered artillary and let him eradicated the vermin!

When we do so, we kill off a few 'bad boys' but the conditions that created them in the first place still remain.

As for Rufus, my first statement holds, the Press is generally pro UWP!

Anonymous said...

This guy Randall Lion I is an idiot.

I want to put my money where my mouth is. Lion I eh getting more than his family to vote for him. LOL

Anonymous at 6.55am. I stand corrected but would you honestly say "the Best of the Best". I can't see it. Party politics has not woked for St Lucia. We need to be more brotherly even when politics is in the air. Come on lets look for the best of the best and respect them as our leaders and champions of our many issues.

People let us think befoe we support anything we see, we should not support anything that is not FACTUAL. I do not know who compiled it but the first line of that so called Wikileaks report Kenny is false, as a matter of fact nothing there about Kenny make any sense. It said that Kenny made cosmetic changes to the police by REPLACING the leadership of the police with British police. We all know that was never true, Kenny brought in the British police to work ALONG SIDE the local police, he never replaced anybody. As a matter of fact it was the UWP who replaced the top brace of the local police withe the British police. If the report can say that then I believe they did not come to St Lucia to investigate for themselves, they were just given information by some bias partism people.

Our nwspaper, Media, Journalist all has a part to play in why st lucia is at the state she is in.
We have all kinds of people who wants to run and if only these jounalist will do their job and search thouroughly in their business as well as their Educationaln background then and only then we would know and have good information on them to make wise decision on the future of our country.

But what happen that these journalist are in bed with them
For Example The star newspaper which suppose to bring the truth to light. Then what has happen they have prostitute themselves with a corrupt regime and failed to write anything about their stewardship with accountability and resposibilty to the people of st lucia. All they do is write about kenny, When in fact the best person at this time who can bring the needed leadership to our beautiful island.
Then you have some people who go by hearsay and think they are doing themselves and st lucia afavor by living in self denial, Whiles the fabric of our community is fast deteriorating.
Where are our journalist, Media, and the daily newspaper.
What a shame to which fair helen has succumb too.

Yes. Let's not make it look like that it is only in St Lucia we have such deep political divides. It is the nature of the two party system. Look at CNN and you will see that we have rabid democrats as well as rabid republicans; in the UK we have rabid conservatives and rabid labour supporters. When these people disagree we say they are 'passionate supporters of ideology'. When our people disagree we say they are displaying 'tribalism'. I don't know, but this sounds very racist to me.

Let our people contend. And stop looking down on them for being passionate about their beliefs. That does not mean however that we must accept ignorance, uninformed loyalty or fanaticism.

So yes, let's critically analyze and select the 'better of two options'; one good, and the other catastrophic.

From my last post you would realize that for me, the choice is clear.

For some of us who live in denial We need to daily ask ouselves where do you and i want st lucia to go with respect to the other caribbean Islands, and the outside world.
There are lots of problems in all these islands as well as countries,
But Leadership Matters in every aspect of ones life.
When a nation has good leaders the Island Thrive and its people prosper.

Ask ourselves concerning this present leadership and we still have peolpe who cannot get it together because of what media, Journalist, or newspaper write about someone, and we don't think for ourselves. we just repeat which has been a norm.
I want us st lucian to look at the present leadership Stevenson King,
Has he bring that needed leadership to st lucia.
Look at Mr prudent, What about his background, his education, Domestic Invovlement. His Experience
Look at Osbert His Eduucation, His Background, His Experience,Whether he is qualified to lead st lucia in this changing world.
Now you Have Kenny Anthony As former Prime Minister, His Education, His Experience, Look at his tenure as prime ministr and whether st lucia fare better under him than this present goverment.
Look at them carefully and see which one is more qualified to lead st lucia.
This is our future and we need to think of it as the way forward and stop bashing.
When i Look at those persons that are mention, My best candidate to lead st lucia in this trying time is the former prime minister, please lets be real with ouselves and the country we live in. let us stop living in denial that our present state is not a good one because of lack of leadership.
No vision, No experience on the part of our prime minister and our island is run as a mediocrity
The Prime Minister should have said something concerning the revoking of Minister Freerick visa.

When neither the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce nor the St. Lucia Christian Council made no protest about a man named as not being a fit and proper person to hold public office given documented evidence in the Report of Inquiry of the Blom Cooper Report as being downright corrupt and dishonest, speaks to the real state of St. lUCIA.

A COUNTRY THAT IS ABSOLUTELY CORRUPT TO THE CORE. THERE IS obviously no room there for honest individuals. No wonder investors are keeping clear of St. Lucia. They are not prepared to engage in the grease hands affairs.
