When will we ever learn that dominance is not exactly the same thing with greatness. Hey Ghaddafi dominated Libya like Compton did to St. Lucia for some or over 30 years!
The first time Compton of his own free will left elective politics he left it in shambles.
The second time Compton left elective politics, again he left it in a shambles.
This election without him the shambles continues. His goons are in office: drug lords, tax cheats, customs duties violators, liars under oath the pain continues.
The writer equates national shame, pain, hopelessness, decay, and decline with greatness?
Where is the bright future and national greatness in all this? In the Taiwanese financial prop, perhaps? Pray tell.
Was not buried properly that is why it remains a ghost and a spectre to haunt the foolish St. Lucians who re-elected that foreigner.

I say and say again; if Sir John was still alive, we would not be having this conversation today. As a statesman, he would have sought a new mandate about mid-2007 considering the bunch of deceitful hooligans he was surrounded by in his surprising victory in 2006.
Devious men when blended in unity can destroy and even kill (SJC) a person's hope.
It was once said that the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those whose who are in the shadows of life, the sick & needy.

My Fellow St. Lucians:
It is interesting to observe that Dr. Kenny Anthony is still being used as a scapegoat for all the woes that plague the current Government of St. Lucia. If my memory serves me correctly, St. Lucians voted for the Stephenson King Administration in 2006 because they thought that the SLP administration mismanaged tax payer’s money. Okay,….almost five years later why are we discussing these same old issues? St. Lucians spoke loudly and clearly in 2006 when they voted the SLP Administration out of office.
Are we afraid to speak the truth about the current failed Stephenson King Administration? Are we too embarrassed as a nation to discuss openly and honestly the ineptitude of this current administration? Could it be that our pride is preventing us from admitting that we failed as a people, as a nation when we selected the UWP administration over the SLP Administration? Let me state emphatically …..WE FAILED AS A PROGRESSIVE PEOPLE AND NATION when we elected the Stephenson King Government. We failed our children and grandchildren when we voted this corrupt administration into office.
Please let us not get carried away and fool ourselves… this election is not about Dr. Kenny Anthony. This is about voting a corrupt government out of office. We need to send a strong message to this current administration and all future administrations in this country:
As law abiding citizens, we have ZERO tolerance for corruption and lawlessness among those who serve us.
For love of country we need to be brave and do the right thing….we need to do what is in the BEST INTEREST OF OUR COUNTRY and future generations. We need to vote this government out of office. Yes, I said it, the UWP has failed to provide us with effective representation and good governance therefore must be VOTED OUT OF OFFICE!
Finally, for those who continue to speak tirelessly about Dr. Kenny Anthony, please spare us……tell us something new and stop sounding like a broken record.

Now when the labour party came to office, Didn't they introduce a step Programme, Didn't they build Secondary Schools, Didn't they build one of the stae of the art Stadium in which other Islands had envied us. Didn't they build another track and field/ Soccer Stadium, how about the Fisheries for the fishermen, How about the four lane roads to gros islet, How about from Vieux fort to soufriere,
and many other things was done,withing nine years, Quite Impressive.
Now am getting to Know that the soufriere bridge, thta leads to town has been Demolish by Chastenet,Three days before Election, Now isn;t this a sign of desperation by chastenet and Stevenson king, Are they that so Desperate, or is it a sign of what will this goverment do if they are Reelected Countinue to Lead this country into an abyss.
Now back to those who countinue to talk about kenny, Who brought Competition on Communication to St Lucia after John Compton had only cable and Wireless Robbing St lucians Left right and center,
Who Open the door for Digicel, And others, Wherby today many of us are previledge with cell phones as well as internet, Who did.

After 28th Nov we would have tried Lanour (who failed), UWP without Sir John(who failed) and now whoever comes after 28th Nov.

Imagine that we are now looking to vote for a government based on a primitive slogan En rouge. that is how much the politicians have dumbed us down as a people ! And Labaaar is proud of this stupidity.
What is the fuss in calling En Rouge, Didn't in 1997 they call us mealy Bugs, So what is the stress, Stop living in Self Denial and let us accept the fact that at the present state St lucia needs Leadership, It was a gross mistake in 2006 when we voted compton and his bunch of criminals, and look at what happen, Think and do what is right for fair Helen.
John Compton is a blight. We have to remove the devil among us. Give him a proper burial. Put that devilish spirit to rest. Wear a cross to the voting booth. The UWP using zen zen.
Once upon a time, seeing John Compton was like seeing the devil. Who can forget the chant "a a me jab la"; and the turning over of the man's car with him inside of it?
Today, we miss him so much; we would do anything to bring him back to live.

Here's my take on Lady Janice's coming out party. She reminded us that she was a part of a well heeled family, the Clarkes, and got married to Compton, a founding member of the UWP. She reminded us that it was bitter sweet for her and her family during the UWP's long reign. While she and her family enjoyed being at the top of the food chain they also had a price to pay for that. Abuse was hurled at her and the kids when they went for a walk etc. The bottom line when you have been large and in charge for so long you are conditioned to believe that you are still important, still relevant, still a major player then to find out that some undesirable, lower class, operatives beats you at your own game and turn the tables on you you exact revenge. How dare them!!!. Lady Compton must understand when you have ridden on the back of the tiger for so long (in seeming safety) you forget that you are on the back of a tiger and not on your couch. Then suddenly the tiger turns his head and sees you he mauls you. That is the nature of that animal, politics. Remember the fable of the Scorpion and the Frog. While she said she understands and bears no ill will towards the disloyal, betrayers of her husbands legacy and good will she's also human and it hurts. The timing of her interview was to garner support for Jeannine while seeking to effect some body blows to the UWP. Politics is dirty, and it is dirtier in St. Lucia, or so it seems. Were the Comptons unceremoniously thrown off the UWP bus? Sure they were. Roofus and Fredericks know that it was their time to take control of the reins of the party, a near death Compton offered them their best chance to become major players in the party and they made their move as calculating, roofless (my wrong spelling for effect), politicians usually do. King is collateral damage in the whole saga. He had to go along to get along. He would not be King (PM) if he did not pay the price exacted. Lady Compton should lick her wounds and give it up there is no use holding a grudge and becoming bitter. She must accept that it is game over for the Comptons although I think that Jeannine should win that seat by virtue of her being seemingly credible, and competent but that is for the people of Micoud to decide. There is no honor among thieves.
St. Lucians only know borbol. They live it. They drink it. They sleep with it. They sleep on it. They marry it. They vote for it. See how much there is going to be tomorrow.
We seem to have flaw in the St. Lucian pchye that makes us prone to denigrading our heroes.
On another note Iwould like to congratulate the voice in the direction that is advising the readership. The voice is correct our representatives must be men women of integrity, and the must individual who put St. Lucia first and their personal gratification second.
There is no way that it can be said that the current administration placed the needs of the people first.
We must make the best decision for the country , not by tradition or our hearts. We have to ask ourselves can we survive this current administration for another five years. We have to be truue ourselves and future generations.
We have to eject personality and employ pragmaticness.
LuciaBoy: me share your views except the part about Jeanine's wining the Micoud North Seat. You have a few things to learn about Micoud people. We loved Daddy Compton and will always love him - even in death. His daughter is way below our thinking. She does not come across as a credible person. We had suspected her unholy alliance and, for this, she will pay dearly at the polls. What can she do for us with a win. We have carefully assess this point.
St. Lucians love punishment. See how they going to get another FIVE years of it. They not repented of their wrongdoings. They are still blaming one party or another. Yet they vote for criminals. Real criminals.
Borbolism is here to stay. Dishonest people get dishonest government. Crooks as parliamentarians will make crooks of all us like Guyana has succeeded in doing.
