China has a notorious record of shoddy workmanship and cutting corners. I won't even mention the killer baby milk fiasco. Yes it's true we can do with massive capital investment in infrastructure, but when happens when buildings and bridges start collapsing in the future? Are we going to declare war on them? By then their local supporters and enablers would probably have retired comfortably into private life. Thereby leaving their successors to carry the back.

Please review what you just wrote because it is not as simple as is being presented here.
