"Better Days" don't seem to be coming. More murders, misery and despair is all I see.

My question is what the hell is a sixteen years old with a one year old child pregnant with a second living with a man twentyfour years? The cycle starts at home. Her stepmother say she does not back down for no one, yes she did she's dead now stupid woman she back down to someone, the one that she thought had her back her lover.I cannot comprehend, what was her family thinking? Who would let a child with a child move in with an adult male and call that normal behavior.Pregnant at fourteen having a second at sixteen she did some schooling why didn't the family see to it that she continued with her studies and help her persue a career she likes. Oh well this is St.Lucia where if you have a nenen and a papa, cousin, uncle with a name you will reach for the stars. That's dispicable. There are so many of our children who wants to better themselves and they are caught up in this political mess down there. If you do not wear a certain color you stay in the back of the bus especially if your parents are no name brand. Shame on all who is responsible from the familes, neighbours, friends, and teachers etc.Our country motto is no squeling or the red or yellow wall of silence. You all are responsible for their deaths hope you all can live with it RIP.

# 2, well said. Her parents, including her step-mother, her boyfriend's parents, neighbours, teachers, police, civil socities, churches, me, you - ALL OF ST LUCIA gave our blessings for the death of this poor child and her poor children. Why didn't someone, anyone, reported this child, this underaged pregant child to the authorities when she first conceived. Surely, we saw her belly was bigger than usual, didn't we? We all sat idled by and and, and perhaps, watched in fascination, while this poor child was being abused.

To hear us now!! Oh, she didn't deserved this, that and the other. Where were we with our concerns in the first instance.

Da ban hypocrites!!

St Lucia is an evil place, sad to say, but it's the truth...

I now await tongue lashes!

Well finally some seem to be seeing what we really are like in St. Lucia.

We pretend, from the top to the bottom, to be the "Helen of the West" when we really are the "Gomorrah of the West".

The liberal "elites" like Dr. King want to legalize prostition, abortion , same sex marriage and support all these deviancies that destroy the family.

All the research that the liberal media keep away from us show the tragedy of the absence of the father in the home to raise children.
You can guarantee that young girls parents were not married neither the young man's parents.

St. Lucia has the highest "out of wedlock" births in the world with all the attendant problems. The young men are wild and the women engage in sex at an earlier and earlier age.

Have you seen how young women dress here ?

Yet we refuse to address the real problems and more and more turn away from our Judeo hristian values.

We all know also that the St. Lucia Labour Party is led by someone who along with his wife is steeped in all the liberal religion dogma that is killing our black people.

St. Lucia will only continue to go down in the next five years because we are being led by people who failed befor, are failing and will continue to fail.

What is wrong about invoking Better Days? The SLP spent five years knocking down King and his UWP over every shoting or killing in the country. You could not help but notice the glee on their faces everytime a murder happened. There aren't no glee on the faces of those who question Kenny's Better Days. What I believe most people question is how clueless and helpless Kenny and his government seems. If you can't curb the crime in the country you can't ask people to hope for better days. I agree with the first poster!!!!!!

For all the ignorant posters who want to invoke politics in this matter; go find a clean river somewhere in fair"Helen where you can wash the blood of this innocent child from your hands!
For all the politicians who have taken millions as their due for being in Government; go wash the blood of this innocent child form the money which you adore, whilst saying you are representing this innocent child!
For we have the infrastructure in place to handle this social ill.
We have the police armed with the relevant laws to persecute the perpetrators of this crime.
We have in place the ministry of social services and all the paid civil servants; who sit on their laurels and come on television as an alternative to doing the necessary footwork to make those beast who are raping the innocence of "Fair Helen" the it not OK to do so.
Let this atrocity be the catalyst to move our lazy asses into action to save our innocent citizens.
Let us suspend all this talk of prostitution; because ignoring the innocent victims is the root cause of the prostitution problem!
Let us stop all this talk of the Gay and Lesbian problem: because upon closer investigation; most of them were victims of Under-age abuse, therefore the root cause that drove them into the shadows of being Gay and Lesbian.
We need to stop talking of crime statistics, and address the situation of abuse of the innocent, because this is what is feeding and festering the crime culture.
We need to stop exposing our asses and burying our heads in the cesspool which we call living the life in st.Lucia.
We need to wake-up! All those pundits and pretend do gooders, and smell the pungent blood of these innocent children!
It is sickening all the way in New York when I endeavor to muster the strength to PROCLAIM MY SAINT LUCIANNESS TO THE WORLD!!!!! I am ashamed to give my name!!!
MY DISGUST SHOUTS MY NAME!!

Isn't that deja vu, have we forgotten about the youg man that stabbed over 64 times and killed his pregnant girlfriend and her baby. When are we going to make a vivid examples of these barabric butchers, I mean vivid as to hang them so that the public could see them squirm, wiggle, gag and gasp and take the last breath before they go to hell. I am sure there are going to be those murderer sympathisers that will say those butchers dont need to be hanged, I am sure there will be those twisted minded people that will say she deserved what was comning to her because she was rude, she was worthless, or she should have known better to be with a older man. I wonder if i t ws their mother, sister or neice or aunt wold they have said the same thing. Like someone mentioned there are many people in SLU who sanctioned those death..First and foremost are the parents or step parents, no parent should have allowed or given quasi approval for their daughter to be placed in that situation, then again some parents are so blinded by money and greed that their excuse would be is that "oh she is a big woman so she could do as she pleases" or " as long as da man taking care of her I dont mind" such pathetice reasoning. As soon as that baby, that child because at 14 that is exactly what she is a baby a child, as soon as that child became pregnant with her first child the parent(s) should have reported the case to the authorities and have that beast incacerated because it had comitted a crime, yes a crime...STATUTORY RAPE, The Hospital where that child gave birth to her child, the doctors and nurses should have reported that incident to the police and have that beast incacerated, the neighbours who sat idly and watch and did nothing are just as guilty because they did nothing knowinbg my people I am sure they would be saying things like " Ti jamet la ensent", "ti a-bay-tant ensent"..they are just as an accomplice to these murders...Now if in fact as it is being speculated that the boyfriend is the one who comitted such barbaric atrocities he should be laying in bed HANDCUFFED.WHO EVER IS FOUND GUILTY OF THOSE MURDERS SHOULD BE HANGED

There are about 826 police people to police a population of about 170thousand people, laughable it is because the police are understaffed, in some cases the police tells the abuser to "go back home and keep the peace" the same home where the victim has just been abused, in a society like today there are NO juvenile detention centers for females in Saint Lucia that begs me to ask the question what the hell is wrong with the government, most of the laws that are discriminating towards women are not repealed example a wife must ask her husband for his consent and permission to have a tubalisation, however the husband does not need the consent of his wife to have a vasectomy, a child who has been sexually abused/molested, it takes 7 years for the abuser to be tried in court, a nine year old baby that has been abused sexually or molested, her case is not automatically investigated, the prostitution ring in SLU is allegedly being run by people in authority, prostitution is illegan and a crime as stated in section 147-152 in the constitutuion of SLU and yet no one has ever been arrested and convicted of such a crime.....How much more blood must be shed before we start protecting our women our females...

Shame on all of you, we are all part of the problem, sex is being inbred in children from the cradle, this isn't a political thing, it moral, what are churches teaching when half of the congregation both women and men are fantasising about sex even during the service; then wonder why teenagers are pregnant at a very earlier age even 12; then abusing little children is easier to do. Children are dressed inappropriately, they drink alcohol, wander without supervision, and even smoke at the tender age of 2 years. There are no boundaries here especially sexual boundaries, in another culture talking about sex the whole time is seen as suspicious, men are assesed as peadophiles, with these loose boundaries, most people are either too thick or too ignorant to see whats going on or want to change.

I hope that whoever is responsible for the crime is dealt with asap. I hope it is not a similiar incident in desrameaux, monchy repeating itself where the man killed the girlfriend and tried to end his life as well!!b

Some of you here are purely evil...Karma will get you.

This just shows that Kenny never had and does not have any answers to our problms.

When he was the PM first time around he asked the hapless Menissa in Cabinet to give him answers to the crime problems. That is how clueless he was.
Is it true that she is now getting a salary of over 100 thousand a year as some kind of attache to the PMs office ?
Then he fired the ony Minister who made any sense in his government - Sarah flood.

Do you think if Sarah was in charge of the police that this country would not have been moving forward ?

Do you think that if people like Sarah were in charge that we would not have answers ?

We have a serious problem in this country when the men are making sure that the most competent political person in this country is not in government because she has answers that they do not !

I have said it before and I will say it again: "As long as crime continues to escalate in St.Lucia, everyone from the Prime Minister to community leaders, the police, teachers, ministers and parents will all receive failing grades."

We have to start on a local and grassroots level, organizing our church leaders, organizing our businessmen, and organizing the citizenry to do something in this fight against crime. Something must be done. This has got to stop.

The main enemy of this nation is the loss of moral values, an arrogant exploitation of the weaker people and mistreatment of the poor and less fortunate. This government must come up with a road - map for reform or else......!

Politics and more politics is all I'm seeing in most of these comments.

Only a few commenters touched on the real point - how on earth was this young lady being allowed to live with a big man who was a statutory rapist? If she is 16 with an 23 month old - do the maths! That means he got her pregnant nearly 3 years ago when she was a minor!

How dare her stepmother now mourn her? Why was this girl not living protected in their house with them? Why did they not call the police on this 'boyfriend' when she got pregnant the first time?

Instead of protecting her, they let her move in with him to be impregnated again and have her life snuffed out at 16?

This is so terrible, tragic and repulsive. A mother of two by 16? My god...

It is instructive that this article on such a horrible event, has a picture which includes Dr. Stephen King.

This is the same clueless liberal/progressive/leftist promoting the same policies that destroy communities of African heritage.

One of the questions that arises is: Are liberals inherently evil or do they just get stupid and oblivious when they succumb to the propaganda and lies of the liberal lobby ?

Why do African American and African Caribbean people particularly the liberal "elites" continue to promote policies killing their societies ?

Why do Jews keep on supporting Democrats and anti Judeo Christians like Obama and Hillary Clinton even as they make sure that Israel ends up on the wrong end of a nuclear weapon?

Why do women support liberal feminists even as they see their lives and families destroyed by "progressive" policies that make their lives miserable ?

Anonymous said...

According to the liberal/gay/lesbian/progressive lobby all of the issues causing these problems of murder and mahem are fine.

The fact that neither the parents of these people or the people themselves are married is not just OK but great because the liberals are on the way to demeaning marriage. That is part of their agenda to destroy our Christian heritage which also destroys our families.

99% of the prisoners in Bourdalais are from single parent households !

Liberals including influential people in the SLP support "shacking up" and distain marriage as an outdated tool of the white man.

The fact that this young girl was pregnant at 14 and probable having sex at 11 or 12 is OK because liberals/progressives promote sex at a younger and younger age. There are UN agencies promoting sex to 5 year olds and you should see some of the pornographic literature they use.

So it is time for St. Lucians to grow up. There is an agenda that we black people have supported for decades that is killing we people. As long as we continue dealing with symptoms of these policies we will continue going backward.

Everytime we bring up these topics we are derided for our "values" and Christian beleifs but you see where it is taking us.

No amount of hand wringigg and "weeping and wailing" and mock concern will make any difference as in our daily lives we accept the things that are destroying us.

It disgust me when I read some of those bloggers who want to politicise crime/murder and those who carelessly throw out words like liberal, leftist, SLP, UWP etc. Crime/murder is irrespective of persons, culture, ethnicity, religion political affiliations, wealth. Crime/murder is like a malignant cancer that is growing and it is affecting everyone in our society whether or not it is petty crimes, misdemeanors or felonies...What we as a scoiety have to concentrate on is how to cut the head of that cancer, that tumor that is affecting us ALL.Guess what, it is us the tax paying citizens that helps take care of those criminals when they are sent to prison. Those of you you believe that Kenny or our former PM has a magic bullet to stop crime in SLU are absolutely deluding yourself and if you felt that they could then you must be just as dumb as they are.Today that young lady and her child(ren) could have been alive today if just only ONE concerned citizen was interested in her welfare or well being but we have become such a sanitised society/culture that we have developed a mentality of everyone see for themselves, hear no evil, speak no evil society, where was her friends, her neighbours, the nurses the doctors, the neighbours, the teachers, the priest, pastors all those people were involved either directly or indirectly in that young lady's life, when did we move from a caring for each other society to a heartless society, how is it that we have a home for juvenile males and we dont have one for females...soon SLU will no longer be helen of the West, it will soon become Helen of the Jest...an island nation filled with fools and murderers.

The SLP was and is the biggest culprit of fueling politics in the crime debate.

Flora said...

I add my voice to the thought..."why was the fifteen year old allowed to move in with a 24 year old man and why didn't anyone make a report when she got pregnant?". Sadly, this is a situation that is likely being repeated in other communities around the island. I agree with others who say, we are all to blame...we allow this to happen.....and are still allowing it to happen somewhere else

The title of this article is technically incorrect "murder" is a legal term, which is a question to be determined by the courts. The more appropriate term would be homocide at this point

Anonymous said...

"Crime/murder is irrespective of persons, culture, ethnicity, religion political affiliations, wealth."

The individual who wrote the above is another head in the sand liberal and purvayer of American liberal culture who thinks that life is so "unfair" and we must all get along and not point fingers.
Kumbaya and we must all hold hands and sway to the gospel music!

What a crock of crap. Tell that to the innocent people being killed by Assad in Syria, tell that to the million babies killed in Africa because liberals got them to stop producing DDT in the USA, tell that to the 60% of African American children killed in the mothers womb in NYC, tell that to the 25% of St. Lucians below the poverty line because bad liberal government policies have stunted growth in St. Lucia.

These problems including the death of those people were caused by people like you dropping the bar so low that you can excuse Kenny and the SLP's failures to do anything. They were warned long ago that abandoning our Judeo Christian values caused us to raise feral creatures who KILL and have no sense of personal responsibility. Instead they treat our people like victims to be coddled and not told the truth. They are also liberal cowards afraid to do what is necessary to improve the police force and tell our people how they have to change their attitudes and behaviour to improve our country.

If we follow your lead our African bretheren will continue to be at the bottom of the pile so please shut up and go save a baby polar bear somewhere !

Karma is a B***h, this is what I need to say to who ever did this. A one year old child stabbed to death, don't you people have any heart or compassion. Do you people even think about this happening to your child or future child? A four month pregnant woman? What are you guys thinking? This happened in Trouya last time when they woman was a few months pregnant as well right? I REALLY HOPE WHOEVER DID THIS GETS THE ELECTRIC CHAIR OR HANGING. Life in prison would be to fair of a sentence. Seems like this person did not care about the lives he/she took so why should the law care about them too? TIME FOR OUR POLICE OFFICERS TO START MAKING AN EXAMPLE WITH SOME OF THESE MURDERERS.

God Almighty, please guide over our country. Take away all this evil which is destroying our lives and happiness. Guide and protect us all Almight Father.

Anonymous said...

Yes we need the Lord to guide us out of this mess.

Yet we forget that the Lord also gave us 10 Commandments to follow his Word and what do we do with it?

He said have no other gods but me - we make our political leaders gods and worship them.

He said Thou shall not kill - yet we kept silent when the Labour Party effectively legalized abortion in St. Lucia.

He said honour thy father and thy mother - not thy father and his concubine or thy mother and her transgender girlfriend. Yet liberals want us to have gay marriage and legalize prostitution and the Labour party supports this -ask Kenny's wife.

The lord says not to covert thy neighbours wife but so many of our people want to destroy marriage and go after a man or woman , married or not.

Thou shall not steal -ask businessmen in St. Lucia about that prolblem or farmers and pradeal larcney.

Time to look in the mirror.

I am truly sorry for the family of the girl and her baby. This child was brutalized long before she was murdered. How can a society idly sit by and allow a 16 year old girl to live with a 24 year old man. Sorry he is a sick puppy. In any other country he would be classed as a pedophile and tossed in jail. Yes I know she was 16 but she was not 16 when he met her and started interfering with her. In addition to his charge of rape her parents should have been charged with child endangerment for allowing this to happen. I strongly believe they should still be charged with involuntary manslaughter for sending this little girl into harms way.
I left St. Lucia years ago because despite the strong Catholic influences the people are sick.
