It has been rumoured that Ms Rambally have been given the nod for the job as Ambassador to the U.N. I hope this is not the case. I don't think she has what it takes for the high profile job as Ambassador to anywhere, and not,for heavens sake, the U.N. Who the hell is making such decisions. Does two terms as an M.P. in St. Lucia qualifies one to be an Ambassador? I say, enough of these political appointments. Lets have quality for the money.
Furthermore here's nothing, on paper or elsewhere, to show Rambally's qualification or suitability.

Let me share some light. All the Ambassadors and Consul Generals are political appointee. Dr. Keith St. Aimee is a UWP supporter as well as all the other ambassadors and consul generals in the missions. What is your problem with Kenny putting his supporters in these post.

Alva should be able to get an ambassador from Laborie because the Village has enough scholars and should be rewarded for being loyal to the SLP. In addition, most ministers choose people they know, who are qualified and they can trust. Where does Alva know Vaughn Lewis and Menissa Rambally? They are treating him like a little boy.

St. Lucia is just meandering its way down the underdevelopment path. Just listen to our middle class which is hurting while Kenny has gone on at least 8 trips so far in the 5 months he has done nothing.
Dr. Anthony is definitely on the right path...acknowledging and embracing young people in his administration.
The young people voted the UWP inepts out because we were tired of being tired of being used and abused by political cowards who held tight to their pockets. Sometimes I feel good engaging in nostalgia by remembering the SLP of th 70s which encouraged its supporters to criticize the party and even when they formed the government openly. We used to challenge George, Josie, Foster and the rest openly and they never called us haters because they knew we would be there once the battle cries were yelled. Today, SLP supporters have to whisper their displeasure at what is happening because they must endorse everything the King does. So sad. Once you disagree, you are a hater..tribalism at its worse. Bad for St. Lucia. Menissa's appoint is a bad one. They could have left St. Aimee there for another six months to one year to break her into this position and to his net works. Who will train her? Vaughn? Choops.
What evidence does St.Aimee have to substantiate that he was performing aptly in his role as UN Ambassador? Hope Mennisa will prove her critics wrong.
Whoever is making the decision to make menissa the ambassador to St. Lucia is a mistake. She needs more qualifications represent St. Lucia at the UN.
