Is Proofreading a Dying Art?

I had no idea the Voice had proofreaders. While I haven't found blatant errors in the Voice as the examples given in this piece, a lot of grammatical errors are allowed through. Some of the errors seem to be due to poor attention to detail, things that a proofreader should catch.
victor please write those masterpiece every week and let anonymous froofread it.
gason me a kay with your grammar bull aslong as u understand de f776u997c98k45ing story. call me what u does call your mother lol. victor u right on man,u like proof-reaching O,O!!!
Proofreaders at the Voice? Give me a break! If the cesspool trash Micah George writes in the Voice is proofread and deemed ok, then change the proofreaders ASAP!
LOL at the blogger above. So funny and so true! Sometimes it's so painful to read some of these articles, I just assumed the Voice had no proofreaders.
Get off the man's case. Micah is definitely NOT perfect. But he writes well.
I think that he is sometimes out of his depth on certain issues and topics like parliamentary procedure. Yet, he is by far better than most when it comes to that.
I exhort readers to consult the pages of "Fowler's English Usage" for guidance from time to time.
You grammarians want to talk about proof-reading? I just read this La Toc 'Koshonee” in a news “papa”:
“As ignorant as most of us convenient innocents might be when it comes to the AG’s Reference Act, however, it’s the reason why the Appeal Court recently considered certain aspects of the most recent election petition by the UWP (whatever happened to that?) in its continuing complicated contention with the polling results at Babonneau and Gros Islet. The appeal court determined in no time at all that the petition could properly be dealt with by the high court.”
There is no excuse for some of the errors that are allowed to pass at this newspaper. If there is a proofreader, then he or she needs to do a better job.
Any idiot can write a pamphlet and self-acclaim himself an "Author", but you would think after that narcissist had perpetrated that fraud he would have had enough practice to not write such garbage:
"More than that, they should be seen to be combining their anti-crime effort."
Especially when writing about crime and not be arrested.

@ the above Grammarians:
con-dee sort par-nee dae-foe - Neg ek Ne-gwhess koo-yon.
@ the above Grammarians:
Unlike some of the loquacious Pedants at the Star-of-Censorship, Mica writes in plain language with the objective of telling the story.
Which is a lot more than can be said for the Pseudo-Intellectuals who perpetually do their thesis on the invention of the wheel.

Garcon,

WTF
“And you talking bout Micah?”
Someone needs to proof read Mica’s as it is littered with grammar errors amongst others
What an ungrammatical rant!
