TOTALLY AGREE.. many drivers i said drivers not owners of cars.. many drivers esp among the mini-bus operaters they are among the biggest culprit..since they frequent our roads several times daily... THERE IS NO STANDARD IN THIS COUNTRY & MOST CARIBBEAN ISLANDS ITS A FACT!!

The SLP gov.said they would purchase police vehicles and have police traversing our roads.. specifically for that purpose ..road patrol cops..we need that bad bad bad...
........ i hope in the next budget the gov makes some annoucements about ROAD COPS.. to oversee reckless drivers be punished swiftly and their cars impounded.. WE NEED A CAR IMPOUND FACILITY .. like abroad.. so law breakers either will pay a fine or cars are impounded & see a judge to rectify their loose behaviours on our roads...

The Traffic Dept. have to take a proactive role in putting a stop to this if police are monitoring those roads I did not say Highways because they are not and stop the culprits especially the mini bus drivers then maybe this can change because the mini bus drivers driving down the east and west coast are the ones they should target have a speed limit in place you stop them when they go over that takes them longer to get to their destination plus they pay a heavy fine and if they keep breaking the law revoke their license and if caught driving without it jail time

Ttaffic signs are almost non existant just like the traffic department. Pedestrian crossings are inadequate and those that exact are not being maintained. Often times a stranger will run over a pedestrian crossing before he or she notices it, thus putting peoples' lives at stake. Pedestrians should not take it for granted that they have the right of way. Wait for a complete stop.

Stop the nonsense! Put some or revise the existing legislation in place for God's sake.

a) All drivers involved in accidents involving personal injury must submit to a police administered alcohol (breath analysis) test ON THE SPOT.

b) All vehicles on the road 10 years and older must get a roadworthiness certificate by reputable garage, before the payment for the insurance of the vehicle can be accepted by the insuring firm.

c) Any police officer can stop a vehicle for a display of necessary roadworthiness documentation and a valid insurance certificate.

Pedestrian don't have to pay insurance, taxes, license, expense car parts, monthly loans repayment etc. yet they seem to have all the rights.

So why shouldn't drivers enjoy the road?
