The School Zoning Debate

Let's get some realism into this once and for all. There is never ever going to be an acceptable zoning decision. By its very nature, zoning is not an ideal and a fixed solution.
Despite the hardships of having to travel long distances and arriving tired to their designated schools, parents would still like to send their charges to specific schools for specific reasons which can change or which may appear to be unchanging. Those criteria may change for certain schools and not for others. Perception which is always faulty at best, will always play a big role.
What is expected of an enlightened Minister and also Ministry of Education would be a good faith demonstration and willingness to make available to all those who are seemingly disadvantaged by seemingly arbitrary allocation of school placements, the teaching resources including teachers, and teaching equipment to all schools, irrespective of location to those concerned parents who want their children exposed to those.
The principle of equity can no longer be swept under the carpet and not honestly and scrupulously addressed. That was for and characteristic of the era of accepted UWP maladministration.
"... [C]reate an equitable composition in the education system."
"equitable composition"? Wow!
How on God's blessed earth, and since when did this ever become an ideal and priority of the Ministry of the Education in Saint Lucia?
Is that what the Ministry of Education all about? Can't see the forest for the trees?
Does the Ministry of Education have even more such vainglorious, insightful, colourful, and most importantly, strategic objectives for our education system, from wherever that came?
Who the hell can have the best interest of a child? Is it the smug Minister of Education or his or her aging mandarins, as usual, warming up their chairs, and removing or flipping through the dog-ears in their files? Or, might it be children's parents with their own aspirations and goals for their offspring?
Like his predecessor, one UWP idiot and Comtonian broomstick known as 'Fairtee', the Minister appears not to have the faintest idea of the colossal difference between educational development, and development education. If he is the lead thinker of the SLP on education matters, surely the country is up the creek without a paddle,
How much more screwed-up can this government and its administrative trappings get? SLP has really lost its way.
If you were to look up and down the last budget and look up the various contributions of the various ministries, hardly would you see a concerted effort by each ministry to dove-tail their activities to the mouthings of the PM about jobs.
So off goes for example, the Minister of Education blissfully on a tangent, seeking "equality of composition". One has to be a real jackass to see any connection between that being a priority, and the rhetorical BS about jobs and job creation.
The government departments are each doing their own thing, or are out on holiday with none of their activities seeking to effectively address imperatives or what are the supposedly mission-critical aspects of its budget. Tell us, who the hell is kidding whom?

This zoning thing sounds very communist. Are they trying to equalize stupidity?
