Oh How I love this true, reality in your face, truth be told, no holds barred, facts of "lucianess" priority, present continuous down to the bone story!!! The deeply sad and worrying thing is - it is not a story ! it is fearfully our way of life !" tradizcion nous"!
I highly recommend this article to everyone as another positive learning appreciation towards our social and cultural /civic responsibility .
I further wish that we recognize the content of this article not simply as a step greater awareness towards HIV/AIDS and Alcoholism and Alcohol Addiction (the later being the scourge- of all things "Lucian") but an insight for reflection or to examine our social psyche as st. Lucians (Caribbean peoples) and our generational longevity
Once again I compliment "of Cabbages & kings" for such an insightful analysis of our social landscape. I hasten to state however unlike an incurable viral infection,We despite our trait we can find the Gileadic Balm for healing as well as the use of education to socially reconstruct our priorities towards a healthier and more people caring society

Victor?
Welcome to the world of irony and cynicism. Congratulations on a brilliant article - I wonder how many dumb Lucians will/can read it and follow the argument?

Sociological satire with a blush of St Clair Lewis' "Main Street - a bouquet of Steinbeck's "Grapes of Wrath". This is St. Lucian literary genuis and should not be diluted as last anony. responder implied. This "Victor~ious" piece can be accessible via an HD animation a la, Toy Story " ; "Antz"; "Polar Express". I seriously recommend the edu foundation of Lucas Studios or Pixar Studios for said project. For a locally produced genre conversion, local artists could be commissioned to publish a a super hero comic book a la arvel Comics 'Green Lantern" etc. Pixtar studios a la
