Sounds like you're on to something ..... Have you conducted investigations into the identities of these Gustave gentlemen or their link to said Government?......
I was at the Public Meeting in Soufriere. While Mr. Gustave's proposals were treated with some suspicion it would be inaccurate to report that there was widespread hostility expressed at the meeting. It was also clear that the Hon. Dalson was caught in the horns of a dilemma.
The main concern expressed at the meeting was of Mr. Gustave's ability to raise the necessary funding for the proposed Hotel / Retail development. Since that was addressed in the Cabinet Decision I would say that an open and transparent consultation process has taken place and we should let financial reality take its course. Would the opponents of this scheme prefer that the Crown Land is leased to an overseas developer instead?
So after defeating Chastanet in an election Mr. Dalson, is that all you can come up with for the people of Soufriere? Some time ago it was reported here of a patch up job on Church Street (La wee Zaboka) and now, another great success, a member of the Gustave family put up some $300, that's about $1.50 U.S. as his share on a large scale development on Crown lands in Soufriere. Since land is being sold in my home town and shares going for as little as $1.50 US, I would like to get in on that. Am I too late Mr. Dalso? are you related to the Gustaves? just asking.
This NASTY CORRUPTION just continues; and we as Saint Lucians MUST NOW for than ever; ENSURE that in the reforming/updating exercise on our CONSTITUTION; that we place in there; a PROVISION; that persons either elected in office or appointed to the SENATE; be RECALLED; WHEN THEIR ETHICS, INTEGRITY; CODE OF CONDUCT OR FITNESS AND PROPRIETY; is found to be not in keeping with the principle of GOOD GOVERNANCE, and ANTI-CORRUPTION in Public Office.
@ MR. "T"...You are showing your ignorance in big, broad daylight!
If you have nothing relevant and of consequence, why don't you just keep quiet?
Are you aware there are minors reading and or contributing constructively to this blog? I guess what I am saying is beyond your comprehension. You would rather wallow in mud!!
How come its only the Gustaves alone who, according to the report, had access to the sale of Shares, and how come the shares on property on the 'WATERFRONT' is sold for so cheap? I smell a Rat. Dalson must be made to answer some serious questions here. Is that what we expect from our elected representatives? We are not a South American dictatorship, at least not yet, but the Government is certainly acting as if we are already there. The smell of ALBA, the giving away of Crown lands for cheap, corruption, coco-macaque, well well, you Soufriere people stupid. Did the buyers pay the VAT on their purchase? If not, why not?
@5.06AM Indeed (300.-EC)was a bargain. The more real value of waterfront property (if offered on the market) is aprox. 100.-EC/SQFT. The 6000 SQFT property is aprox 600 000.-EC value.
Soufriere beach IS NOT for sale!!! It's for the people of Soufriere to bath, rest, picnic, socialise and spend precious family time on. So developers etc BACK OFF!!! Soufriere residents and my family alike stand firm and fight for the little piece of heaven we still have... God is good XXxx
