lol...this is so ridiculous. You know if I knew this extra taxation was going to improve our energy situation in the long run by investing in green technology and helping people to the same, I would be fine. Truth is, its probably going to buy more expensive SLG SUVs, more carbon-extensive trips to wherever and much of the same.

I am so suspicious of the PDA's president saying essentially that he reluctantly accepted the Government's offer in the interest of consumers. This is very disengenious of him because they held the consumers hostage and by extension the populace in the furtherance of their narrow selfish interests.

I am agree with Dr. Anthony that the price reduction for consumers was ill timed, and to couple that with the increases to the dealers is like double jeopardy for the country's finances.

There may have been some justification for giving the dealers an increase but two things bother me about the whole thing.

One the way the dealers went about making their demands so forcefully and unreasonably without regard to the consumers and the lack of confidence I have in the Prime Minister to negotiate with the dealers.

I think we are playing our weakest team in the most challenging world economic tournament to borrow a sports analogy.
