Let the people decide. Stop hand picking your parasites, gargoyles and sycophants to cut the cheese for the benefit of your supporters.

Not only UWP doing it Labar as well. That makes me sick.

Let the people VOTE their representatives on the local councils.

That is democracy. What we have in St. Lucia is a "Politrocracy" for want of a better word. Where the politicians decide for the people.
Because the people are stupid.

"Shut up and listen to your masters." Remember this famous saying?

I meant to say "politocracy" - demorcracy of the politicians, by the politicians, and for the politicians.

We can never evolve as a nation unless there is a paradigm shift in our politics. The politics we practice sytmies the creativity, ingenuinity, and our ability for coming up with indegineous solutions for the problems that beset us as a nation.

Our development is restricted by the limits of our creativity.

I tell that you are either uneducated about your history, or as usual you just refuse to accept it.

In 1979, the SLP was the party responsible for suspending local elections. Look back now we both will agree it was a very big mistake.

Have you notice the silence of the SLP on this issue. Guilty as hell! They don't have the balls to tackle this issue.

Very likely they like the UWP will not stop this practice upon returning to office.

The above quote is from your posting anon.

This one is from my posting....

"Not only UWP doing it Labar as well. That makes me sick."

Are you telling me that it should continue in perpetuity?

Well then the Labour party must own up to the error and promise that it will reverse the trend upon assuming office.
Do you agree with me that this is not a healthy state of affairs for a fledgling democracy?

I agree fully. I am also of the belief that an apology is long overdue from the SLP for taking the country towards an undemocratic path. If and when they do, it will serve as proof that not only has the SLP matured but that it is prepared to set the example by calling for the reinstatement of local elections. What is the UWP and SLP fearful of? Why not give a greater voice to the people of St Lucia?
