If anyone believes Mr. Astaphan's cliam that this was an administrative blunder or an innocent mistake, I have a bridge to sell them right here in Brooklyn.
This is nothing but a mea culpa disguised into a blame game.
Mondesir should be made to pay back whatever concessions he recieved under false pretences plus tax, and penalties.
Politicians should stop abusing the public trust. Stop using public resources as though it belongs to them. Is is nothing but corruption.
Trying to deprive the people of monies that are legally theirs. So it was with that other minister's case as well.
Astaphan again. Thank god Kenny is not in power. I don't think I want to relive the years of lawsuits upon lawsuits by Kenny and Astaphan dominating the news. Thank god Kenny's comeback is going to be a very difficult one. What ever we do hold on tight to resist Kenny's comeback. When the time come vote for anything and anyone but Kenny. LOL
If Kenny time was dominated by so many law suits and and he still found time to do so much in St lucia, in terms of development, then we really need that man back at the helm again. This administration has no law against other people, excepting one against themselves, that sound comical. All the law suits are against them for wrong doing. The people in St lucia are not fools, they will not take your advice, because you gave no reason, why people should not vote for Kenny to continue the good development he started in St Lucia. How can you tell people to vote for anything and anyone, they made that mistake in 2006, to end up with what we have today, and they will not make that mistake again. look at what we end up with Guy Joseph, King, Easy kal, As in James, Spida, As tar Fan, frederick, Mondesir, etc, etc. They even pad that group some more incompetent people. Which of these men that can formulate any policy to bring St Lucia to any form of sanity? I cannot see none. Please tell me how will Kenny come back will be a difficult one. Why it should be difficult anyway. give us REASONS
All Kenny left behind was a total mess.
Bad policy on crime, Rochamel, cost over run, lies on 6 lane high way, a cricket facility that only has cricket once or twice a year. A falty stadium in VF that Tai gov had to fix, Walter Francois, Helen Air, Helenites Gate in big apple, White elephant car park in town, Step scandal, Butch Stewart and Sandals preying on St Lucians, 1.5 million dollars amb resident for Hunte, secret deal to drill for oil, firing of persons who disagreed with him, you want me to go on and on...
What was the bad policy on CRIME you are talking about? Tell me the better policy your present incompetent government is presenting. Has they stopped crime as they had promised? then i will explain to you what slp did in terms of crime. We should never politicise crime.
Please tell me what about ROCHAMEL because your incompetent government wasted millions of our tax payers dollars on an enquire to investigate it, and up to now they hide the report.
COST OVER RUN, That Is not unusual for any big road to have cost over runs, as a matter of fact, this is not the first time we had cost over run in St Lucia, the only differences is, this time it is used as a political foot ball. The mullinum high way was cost over run.
SLP fell short on the six lane highway, but they provide us with a four lane. I could see how bias you are, a facility was provided to develop the talent of the youth and you claiming cricket is only player there once a year. You forget there is also an indoor facility there, where indoor sports are played. You also forget local cricket is played there.
We got a stadium free as a gift, just because it needed an upgrade, you call it faulty, how ungrateful you are. With all the cars we have in St Lucia today, you must go there one day to see for yourself, there is nowhere to park in town. How can you call the car park a white Elephant, just because of politics. What is needed is proper management of the facility. Walter Francios lied about his degree, but the people in Soufriere was satisfied with his representation and retuned the seat to the slp case close. What is the step scandal? Poor unemployed people finding a form of income to feed their children and in the process beautifying and cleaning the country, you call it a scandal, but your incompetent government is paying Hepples a trini, millions $U.S tax free, that is not a scandal. You must hear all the concessions your government is now giving to Bill Stewart and all the other hotels are kicking hell. I know you are not well informed, you are just politically bias and just repeating what you hear. I head that incompetent Frederick speaking about that oil deal in the budget, nobody but you took him serious. You only remembered about Kenny firing but forgot Compton fired Rufus twice. Yes i want you to go on, and i will show you how wrong you are. Your government is so ashamed, they cannot provide the 7000 jobs they promised us, so they want to reintroduce STEP yes STEP. They just changed the name to HOPE. What a shame, they have no ideas of their own.
He who laughs last, laughs the best. All you fools who putting a spin for what is no doubt failed policies on both sides, are greatly mistaken about what is to come.
The people of St Lucia are far ahead of you people.
The fact of the matter is that Mondesir is clearly making use of his position for personal gain with no ramifications. This is not the only thing that he has done. How long will Saint Lucians allow politicians to do what they want with no consequences. When will this stop so that the people of Saint Lucia can continue to develop and progress at a faster pace.
It is true that both sides make mistakes, and there is no government in this world who will not make mistakes. What i cannot stomach is people who try to make others believe, that Kenny was and is such a monster, who did nothing right. This is so far from the truth. When we have a government now in office, who does very little, if not nothing, only scandals after scandals and the people are suffering. In Kenny term St Lucia was the envy of the caribbean, in terms of all the development that was taking place there. I never said things was perfect but work was going on, the country was moving, compared to now.
Work was going on well during Kenny's tenure not because he is a hot male.
Demand was making things work.
Who the next SLP leader will be?
