I am about up to my head with those lame press releases. Take a hike if you guys have nothing to comment about!
SLP Supports Personal Hygiene
The Saint Lucia Labour Party is urging all Saint Lucians to wash their hands after using the toilet and to brush their teeth after every meal.
Why does the SLP believe that the only way it can effect change is for it to be in control of the tax payers $$?
What a lazy bunch of people. Where is the imagination, the vision, and the will to do something independently for the people of St Lucia while in opposition. Why should group come to believe that being in opposition is like a political sentence.
Words, words, words are all it seem that the SLP is able to manufacture. Time to prove to the rest of St Lucia that in opposition you are still able to effect change.
Besides words, what have you done for the people of St Lucia lately?

Comment 1-3 did you understand the passage, you calling slp lazy etc. The point they are making is, they are the ones who conveived that project. What have your workers in government have done, to show they are not lazy.

What can the opposition do. Here's some of what they can do. How about orgaanizing their supporters in the various parts of St Lucia to engage self help community projects. How about rallying their supporters to "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country." How about using some of the secret money they received from China and still hiding to help fund those projects. I don't think it's much to ask from an opposition? Is it? I am sure some other people will find useful things that the opoosition can also do.
You can't continue to feed people with words and expect that your word alone is sufficient.
If may add,the days of just seating in opposition, running your mouth, and collecting a monthly salary, is over! These are changing times and I am certain that any progressive person who call themselves a St Lucian expects more.
Thinking out of the box must be the way forward for any opposition.
You started well, but you showed you bias ness and lost all your creditability when you began speaking about secret money from China. I am not saying you are wrong, but what proof do you have, give us your proof or shut up. Kenny always said that, because people use to make all kinds of unfounded allegations about his administration, he would take them to court, if they make statements that they know is false or cannot be proven.
Now all of a sudden all uwpees want to advice the slp how to develop the country, when they elected an incompetent government, who have no clue what to do. It does not matter what the slp does these uwpees will always find fault. If they do self help projects as recommended, they will still say slp is doing that just to gain votes. I know this person is not in St Lucia, because the slp member for V F north just had a self help cleanup project in his constitunency. I suppose you are in the U.S, do you see the republicans doing any projects in the U.S? They only do what they are being paid to do, to put pressure and keep the government in check, so we are no different in St Lucia. Talking about opposition and projects, i remembered the member for Micoud south when in opposition, used his truck and people from his district to patch the pot holes in the roads. Now he is in government, the roads are in a worse state and he does nothing about it, so we must be careful the way we are being fooled to gain votes.
My question is why are they concentrating on the opposition when we have an elected government, who is being paid to develop the country. People let us check on the present government, we must know how they are spending our tax dollars.
Where is the bias? It's a known fact that UWPs are getting their money from the Taiwanese and SLP from China. It is also an undeniable act that during the 9 1/2 years in power millions where received by the SLP. This was obvious during the last elections with the kind of "crazy" money all over the place. Immediately after the elections, the SLP leadership headed to China. What do you suppose they went there for? To drink tea and tea? The prostitution of the country must come to an end.
Today, we have seen very little difference from the UWP. Millions are following like wise and only fools will believe that some of it isn't landing in someones pocket.
My challege to the SLP is plain and simple. Prove your credibility in opposition or suffer the consequences of being ridiculed.
I don't care what anyone thinks, but it is very obvious to me the the SLP and its leadership are stuck in the past! If this is being bias I will accept it any day and anytime!
Just one more thing. Do you really believe that the SLP is separate from our system of government in St Lucia?
They like the "government" has a role to play in moving the country foreward. When you will understand the significance of having an opposition, only then you will be able to appreciate why others are of the opinion that the SLP have not lived up to expectation since losing the election.
None of your name calling and condemnation of persons who voted for the UWP means a thing. Unless, you become open minded to approaching goverance in a holistic manner, this included persons of all political background,no measure of progress will ever be attained in our country.
This yellow and red thing is sure to lead to our own demise.

The only fact we have about money is the million dollars the Tiawanese gave each to the uwp ministers. If slp was after money as you said they would accepted it also and hide it away as the uwpees did.. The only uwp member who accounted for that money is Jannine Compton, nobody knows what the others did with that money. I am still waiting for the evidence of money received by slp ministers from china, from you. I never said they did not, but where is your evidence? What do you mean by creditability? If you go to St lucia, the only people that is being ridiculed in St Lucia are the uwpeees, you must hear the calypsos this year. This is the first time in St Lucia history, that most of the calypsos in the finals are songs against the government. Explain to us what do you mean by struck in the past by the slp leaders. Please, Please tell us how can the opposition move the country forward? I do not care what people think, i just want that explained that to me. I think you need glasses because i have not seen anywhere, where anybody call anybody who voted uwp any names. Anyway how will anybody know who people voted for in the first place. As a matter of fact, the only name calling was done by somebody calling the slp leadership lazy etc. Talking about political colours, i think you should take off you yellow shirt, because there are not much people in St Lucia wearing that any more. I am very proud to wear my red shirt. If you are interested i will tell you why.
I have no interest in knowing why you like to wear your "Red T-Shirt". Perhaps your life is uninteresting and you need some colour to spike it up. LOL There's is nothing wrong with that in this continual cycle of dependence and political addition, biasness, and denial of truth.
You see, I do not behold to any man or organization, hence the reason why I have no interest in your silly antics of why colour matters. My view is a global view of where St Lucia fits in, and not what little colour bubble fools are enclosed in.

LOL! How about a global view where your little fixation for wearing red T-shirts becomes one where you now see yourself as part of a whole in terms of the future development of your country. How about a global view in which pragmatism over rides ideological and partisan stupidity. How about a global view in which it is understand that vast majority of young St Lucians are no longer interested in political theatre, jargons and the failed promises. How about a global view which is driven more by self-reliance, and the understanding that if you are able to make a success of your life, then you are better placed to lift others around you who are struggling. How about a global view that does not require you to invest all of your years on earth on the wasteful belief that some politician or political organization is able better equipped to better your lot.
How about a global view which sees politics and politicians within a narrow prism and a gross impediment to national development. . How about a global view which seeks end tribalism and sees partisan politics ( as it is presently structured in our country ) as a breeding ground for zealots who often defy logic. How about a global view which defines political ZEALOTS as a : FANATICAL PARTISAN WHO IS DRIVEN MORE BY “PRINCIPLES” or DIFFERENCES IN COLOUR. I think I gave you enough for now. I thank god every day that I don’t have to carry that yoke filled with stigmatization and ignorance. The world outside cares very little about that little bubble in which you have wrapped yourself in.
You have so much so called global views you should come back to St Lucia and make it a paradise for us yourself and your family. Them you will see it is not as easy as writing on paper.
