Micah, do not let them discourage you. Continue to be the strong young man I knew you to be while I grew up in Helen as a child; Do not be a stooge of any political party. Continue to make the public proud of your contributions, and to Hell with the politicians whichever his or her party. Let the arrogant, the proud and the boastful take the blows they deserve. "The arrogant and the proud shall soon be brought low" sayeth the Word of the Lord, no matter his or her Party. On that note, Up Close & Personal, the political commentary that it is, should ASAP ask some questions about the TAIWANESE DOLLARS that were handed to quite a few politicians, and which only Janine Compton has officially accounted for. They have a duty to account to the public that put them in power. Do not let anyone silence you, dear friend. Continue to make all your Marchand brothers and sisters, UWP or SLP, proud of your serious, objective, thought provoking analyses, picong and other types of contributions. Donna.

Micah as you rightly say your column is political. the same way you are going to step on political toes from both parties its the same way they are going to step on your toes. You have a right to express your political view point on anything and there is no need to try and justify it.Sometimes you will get blows deservingly and some times you will get blows that you dont deserve. The same standards you hold the politicians too you must hold yourself to the same standards as a political commentator. Take blows and give blows thats the nature of the beast or get out. there is no time for whinning in this. The readership will decide who is credible
