The juggling and positioning taking place in Soufriere is a side show and attention disorder syndrome by 2 non qualifiers.
1. Harvey is not a member of the party neither a delegate of the constituency branch and does not have the support of the group, but thinks he is entitle to this by association and a pay back by Senator Gasper Charlemagne, whatever his influence is in Soufriere, cabinet and the party is equal 2 zero.
2. Alan, is an opportunist and agent of the elite, special interest, and family class who are currently strangling the party, financial, policy wise and making direct demands. Alan, does not have the support of the constituency branch, except for his 2 new purchase and business interest in Soufriere, the 2 staff personnel who are server as his handlers and the SDF, (I live in Soufriere I know this first hand) and he does not know Soufriere in any detail except for the water front office of the SDF, and his newly purchase speed boat - u follow. Also, Super 8 has not spoken YET, they do not support him running in the next election—he is the decoy 2 replace Stephen King should thing go sour!!!- hello, trouble – stay tune. Hope his grandiose plans, after 15 year in the tourism industry and only now discovering Soufriere, (what hypocrisy), is of any value to the residence, I doubt. He can start by re-hiring the tour guides he fired, and then answer a few questions on our turf.
3. The real candidate here, from my insider view is a strong leader, community and service oriented, charming and inspiring entrepreneur, from Soufriere who currently reside in Toronto, and began his lobbying, frequent visits and a group on the ground back in 2008. He is known 2 the General Executive of the party and Cabinet, and some of the “elites” in Soufriere. He is highly recommended by the constituency group and others we prefer not to be ID as we blog. In shot, this fussing and exhaling going on is of no good to the party and Soufriere, Alan and Harvey are both aware of this, anyway this rebelling and attention seekers will soon disappear, trust me. Soufriere is not for Sale, nor a resting place for recycle politicians and past pastor nor the final resting place for persons who could not split Gros –islet, neither identify with Castries South and choose to fluent there wealth at Soufriere..We’re neither stupid nor foolish, but pretty politically savy. Flim at 11.

The SLP has to learn from the UWP. Forget democracy. St Lucians are not sophisticated enough to participate in run offs. The party must simply give them a candidate that they must accept. No foolishness about wanting to have a say in who the candidate should be or that the candidate must come from the constituency...please! Unlike those fools in Anse La Raye/Canaries, the UWP faithful in Soufriere will take Chastenet, and vote for him without question. Cenac doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell.
Cenac beleave it or not thier are alot of UWP's that are out there to give you their blessing, those who oppose are still in the cotton fields, the africans call them umcatta(cotton picker). these are the fools who can never do anything for themselves so they bow, you have a great chance do not give up. As an executive of the UWP i can tell you that your chances a vry good, King needs to watch his back Allen and family will buy the deligates votes, make him party leader, and buy out and sell out our country. IF YOU HAVE NOT NOTICED ALL THE PEOPLE THAT HE GIVES THE HIGHEST POSITIONS TO ARE NOT OF SHADE. Just an obsevation.

We can't wait 4 Alan in Soufriere, it's time for the party to decide against the will of the people...come on guys, bring it on.
We need some action and economic boost in the Town.
The results in Soufriere will be internally rewarding and Socially worthwhile in defeating the UWP'S for the 4th time...the SDF,T-CHAS, and TOM CHOU money will not make a difference..we will not, not return to family rule, elite monopoly and devisive personnel. He can keep buying new supermarkets and small hotels in Soufriere, speed boats, etc, in time these purchases will return zero to negative returns......NO NON Soufriereian will every win the Soufriere seat,,,we're deternine, enough is enough!!!!!
The leadership of the ump is up for a huge surprise in the manner this matter is being handle and the disrespect there dishing out to the people of Soufriere. As a supporter and from my circles in the town there is a ruble and huge secret …..our politics is local…stay tune.
There have been lots of secret meetings here and there by the UWPS and T-CHAS and the petit business men, likewise the honchos at the SDF, Soufriere is small, but not for sale. Neither will one set of people force feed us, came with all the projects and cash, we will not be moved…15 years in Tourism, only now you care, ok, ok, then we have made it thus far without all the fuss, plastic smiles, deceit and lies.
We do not which our lands to be sold for foreigners and investors, while this government is attempting to live us landless, poor beggars. The PM, Alan and the UWP top brass are so far removed from the people, preferable in LA-LA –LAND , we have interesting and punishing times ahead…We’re quietly waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! U decide, Boxing in Paradise.
The showdown and loud mouthing going on publically between Alan and Harvey is attention-grabbing to clear stupidity, especially at this time knowing there is another most admirable and formidable, true UWP candidate, who can win this seat hands down. His ID will be revelled in time.....TIMING IS EVERTHING.... as a uwp, I marvel at the decision making process AND non- decision making ability of the party. It may be time to change????????
A nation's demise:
The death of the nation was both violent and natural. The fatal agents were the organic disorders of the system. The government had proven incapable of solving problems: it failed to preserve domestic order or an effective defense; it discovered no way of reconciling local autonomy with national stability and power; and its love of liberty failed to interfere with its passion for empire and war. The class struggle had become bitter beyond control and had turned democracy into a contest in legislative looting. The legislature degenerated into a mob, rejecting all restraint, voting itself every favor, and crushing initiative, industry, and thrift.
That's our Fate.
and yes soufriere will vote labour for a 4th time and yes they gonna be eating sulphur for a record 20 yrs. ten under labour 5 under this administration and another 5 under whichever party that comes in.Neither party gives two shit about soufriere. the big fishes are in the NORTH and EAST.
Think about it.
Do we want Soufriere to return to the era of landed estates populated by masters and slaves, to attracted immigrants with its policy of colonial economic systems?
But factionalism can be minimized, and the way to do it is not difficult to discern. All that needs to be done is for government to enact legislation that enhances the well being of people rather than institutions and special interests.
Promoting an economic system that exploits the people and impoverishes them at fairly regular intervals, restrictions on freedom, and corruption of the political system are not effective ways of making friends and influencing people.
The strategy is one of divide and conquer.
The public good is disregarded in the conflicts of rival parties, and that measures are too often decided, not according to the rules of justice and . . . rights. . . .
It will be even more difficult for unworthy candidates to practice with success the vicious arts by which elections are too often carried; and the suffrages of the people being more free, will be more likely to centre in men who possess the most attractive merit and the most diffusive and established characters.
Our Government IS paralyzed, BROKE, BROKEN, DEAD OF IDEAS & UNCONTROLLABLE...
To all stupids...Stop bashing Soufriere, She was the first Capital of Ste Lucie and still the most beautiful part of the Island. Is the concrete jungle (the north) getting to you?
I did have an opportunity to speak to Mr.Cenac myself. I personally have been to St.Lucia and Soufriere was the most beautifull part of the island to me. The most beautiful black sand beach I have. And yet it seems neglected. He mentioned he was running for office in St.Lucia but he didnt mention for which part. And I see why because he when he talked about it seemed so passionte yet so unhopeful about. I say go for it please. The people and the city need that support not handouts but skills and resources to make their life and their city strong and succesful. I will pray for you and hope we can see your vision for Soufriere come true. Bless!!!
