EXCELLENT-EXCELLENT
There's still hope for our "Mother Helen"
Now let us tackle CRIME on the island with a vengeance by building other stations and manned them by those who won’t be tempted by corruption in favour of the criminals.

Clean up Castries and tremendously improve the infrastructure for tourism and vendors.

Help and take our ill and vagrant off the streets and find some kind of rehabilitation for them despite of how they arrived on the streets. Make it mandatory that they move to be helped otherwise they will have to face incarceration. The government cannot let the absurd and unreasonable desire of a few jeopardize the needs and necessities of the masses.

Take the minibuses off the streets of Castries by building the "BUS TERMINAL" I suggested many times before.
Clean up the police force. Francois seem to be doing this as we speak.

Make all citizens accountable by paying taxes/ fines/ fees etc etc. This not an option, it is the law.

Introduce parking meters in Castries and other cities/ towns and villages.

Start a television campaign to teach some in the nation which is just about everyone, how to be civil to each other and to tourism by deleting the "country bookie" and disinterested attitude from their public contact with each other and the world.

Also start a television campaign to teach every citizen that littering/ polluting and destroying the environment is a primitive affair and must be stopped. Anyone found littering and polluting must be fined.
If the government can implement these ideas to the children from school to adulthood, twenty years from now "Mother Helen" will be a changed nation and a model country for the entire region.
It takes a special kind of person to be in law enforcement. The government must screen and check all background of an applicant and not let anyone become a police officer just because they want to.
I see some police officers out there and I am reminded of the old days when people joined the police force to make a difference.
Not to kill citizens and ask questions later.
Not to become quickly rich from unsubstantiated revenue by protecting those who are holding the country hostage.
Not to become dismissive and arrogant towards the citizens who pays their salaries.
Not to become a bully on the streets enforcing absurd parking infractions in a city whose infrastructure to support the vehicle population is a ridicule considering the enormous lack of space to support the traffic needs.

Without minibuses and the introduction of parking meters on the streets, this ridicule will be resolved by offering space to everyone who comes to town to do business and work, not to mention the new revenue to help support the city.
I seem to be asking for a lot from this nation. But the alternative is complete annihilation of a nation which was once paradise.
Mother Helen can still be paradise even in a world of great and enormous progress-technology and affluence. Since we have given up or sold our entire culture-tradition-heritage and pride to adopt the spoils of other nations such as our music and other social practices, these imperative changes and attitude might just save us from ourselves. There’s so much more to do, however, we must start somewhere.
