Still Divided On Crime

The PM missed the opportunity to give the nation hope,to set out his government plans for dealing with crime in the Castries basin. Instead he used the time to focus on criticising the opposition. Instead of higlighting his iniatives he tried to question the sincerity of the opposition, imagine he wants to question the sincerity of the MP for East Castries,a man of unquestionable integrity. The most significant action being the sacking of the Commissioner. But as usual he missed the opportunity to be effective,he failed to sack the Minister responsible for policing Guy Mayers.

The prime Minister needs to buckle up and stop concentrating on what the opposition thinks or says. What the Opposition says is not the crux of the problem. For the prime Minister to say that comments by the Opposition "stokes the fires of rage" is unacceptable justification for the spate of crime on our island. Bottom line: There is something definitely wrong which is creating such rampant violence in St Lucia and the Prime Minister and the government had better sought the cause of our demise. Fancy speeches and apportioning blame won't cut it. We need solutions and we need them really fast.

The PM needs to stop blaming the opposition for his own lack of initiative to combat crime. Pointing fingers at the opposition is not tactical, its political; he just doesn't get it; instead of administering his responsibility, he's still playing politics. Bottom line, King's political philosophy is truly an expression of his human immaturity.

I'm totally flabergasted that a person in a position of such huge responsibility as a Prime Minister could be so myopic and make such inane and down right ignorant remarks the problem sir is social dislocation and the question is how to rally the entire society to address or manange it not some simplistic arguements about personal hurt or disguised agendas

What a complete clown this man must be a complete clown if things were not so serious laughter would be in order a change is need at the very top this clown must go

I am not suprise at the PM statement because that is how these clowns got into office, by blaming everything an the government of the day, even crime, they never set out their policies for managing the country. It worked very well for them then, so he is trying to use it again, hoping it will work this time around, but i strongly believe people are a bit smarter now. They can clearly see which is the better of the two parties and which party has the better candidates. In the last election the people was bombarded by the media with the faults and mistakes of the then government even though they were developing the country very well, they did not even take time to think of the calibre of men they were electing. Now they have seen that these men do not have a clue of how to manage the country properly. They will make a better choise next time around.

The problem is Guy Mayers and his criminal son Samuel Snuffy Mayers. His gang ties in the graveyard have been investigated by police and what does he do? Send him over to Florida. This man glorifies all criminals on his facebook pages as well as msn but his father wants to speak about parents not doing a good job.
