After reading this article, it is becoming more and more apparent, that our politicians do not seem to be "globally savvy", or even make it apparent to us that they KNOW anything about the planet we inhabit.

They attend summits, conferences, etc, then make all the right noises, and thus endeth the lesson.

Our governments and politicians [whether elected or opposed] should really be forming commissions with people who know their stuff .. or .. making those existing accountable, e.g. the SLNT, the FRC, the CDF, the SLHTA, the SLTB, etc ... these bodies should be reporting to the elected government about what needs are to be addressed.

We have no "heritage", no "theatre", no "culture", a farce for "tourism" - need I go on?

Most of the mechanisms which we need to make us a better place and people - is available to us - reach out and grab it.

What happened to the words "Majestic Pitons?"

First let us blame the labour party for approving 149 developments within the PMA. That is where the problem started. the UWP continued I guess based on the comittments made and we all know that greed would take prescidence over good judgement. The labour party and Kenny is just as culpable as the UWP in this matter. No amount of buck passing will make it any easier to deal with. Our politicians are greedy mongerers selling our country out to foreigners and caring less about our people. That is why we should register protest this coming elections by staying away from the poles. NO VOTE IN PROTEST!!

You right en vote, because your UWP party disappoint you. You thought an 82 year old man with a few corrupt and semi literate men were your savour. Now you see the light, they have stalled St Lucia development and taken the country to a backward slide, now you en voting.
