I have been reading the voice online for over a year now, and I must admit that compared to other so-called News paper outlets, the voice's articles, news pieces are unbiased, free of name calling ("white wabbit"), any generally objective and factual in its reporting.Congrats to the VOICE of the people.

Congratulations, Voice Publishing.

I cannot, but say it.

Let the Star and its publisher languish by declining readers and eat his heart out. Too biased, unbalanced and vindictive. Toofay!!

Again, Bravo, Voice, I will ALWAYS buy your paper.

Congrats, The Voice. Please continue to publish objective and unbias information. Don't ever lose your way like the once famous Star Newspaper.

I must congratulate you, The Voice, for having again won the best newspaper in St Lucia. This news does not surprise me, as you write in an objective manner - not biased, unbalance or vindictive, as someone else said.

Rick Wayne's Star Newspaper is a "margee" - a political newspaper not worthy of even mentioning in the same breath as the Voice. Thanks goodness I stopped buying this margee of a news paper years ago.

Congrates, The Voice, keep on doing what you have been doing.

In the future would like to see more followup on different issues affecting lucian people, Congratulation, But there are more ares needed for Improvement in Educating our peole about the role of true journalism,
Now wish that they can take a page from the present Feild of candidates from the Republicans side and how the journalist are getting down to every aspect of their lives.Take a page from that.

Have you taken into account your many overseas online readers? I, for example, am based in Latin America!

I used to live in St Lucia many years ago, and I thoroughly enjoy keeping up with its news and views.

Well done Voice!

But you are the only major news paper on the island; so why are you surprised that you are #1?
You have no real competition.

The other news-papers are mere political mouth-pieces of their respective owners.

For example, you will get a call from Rick Wayne if he doesn't agree with your post in his news-paper.

Funny, Just as I recently changed my home page to your site. Your unslanted articles are refreshing, readable, unsarcastic and devoid of fake intellectual pretension.

Bravo, bravo. I am proud of you. I am out of the island and The Voice has been my paper of choice even before I left St. Lucia. I look forward to every issue; it is my way of keeping up with the news and everything else going on in St. Lucia. Thank you for sharing your success with us, we make you a success but more importantly, you keep us informed and knowledgeable. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you. May I wish you many more successes.

CONGRATS. Let me first admit that some years ago I had begun to neglect The Voice in favour of the Star. Mostly my apprehension had to do with the perception that The Voice was just another UWP propaganda mouthpiece. Perhaps that perception was strengthened by the additional perception (or fact?) that Garnet Gordon, The Voice magnate, was a personal and political friend of the later John Compton. But, little by little I begun to realize that my views may have been a bit unfair and biased. It’s been at least 12 years, in my experience, that The Voice has been taking a more objective line of journalism. Between Micah George and several others, there is a clear trend of objectivity manifesting itself, and Sir Garnet Gordon’s paper is BY FAR the best reading material in matters of journalism in St. Lucia today. The only real garbage I read in The Voice today, comes from the hand of that preposterous political beggar, Peter Josie!!!!! The Star had come on with a bang at its birth, but Learie Carasco, aka Rick Wayne, in his utterly bitter and vengeful pursuit of a personal political agenda, combined with his dictatorial management of all Star reading material, has absolutely condemned the Star to abject failure and a pitiful legacy. What a shame for a paper that had showed so much promise! The Voice of course is a thankful competitor as a result! The Mirror had begun with some promise, but it also fell miserably by the wayside, what with such archaic personalities as the two GUYS in the top management of that medium? Today, The Mirror can’t even get online, whereas little St. Lucian boys and girls, even the “boy scouts” among them, are able to develop and maintain websites. I recall being among some readers, some years ago, who had ruthlessly blistered Michael Gordon and Victor Marquis, for the fact that the Voice had yet to get its act together, and get online. Lo and behold, soon afterwards, the paper came online, to the delight of thousands of St. Lucians all over the world. The Voice saw the criticisms, which appeared on a Star blog actually, and the Voice responded, and Victor Marquis and the rest of management, must be loudly lauded. I also recall putting some blows on another Voice staffer on that score, a young chap called Vilan, telling him that he needed to encourage Marquis “to get his walrus and cabbages act together”..lol..lol. I don’t know if he’s still at The Voice. Guys, my sincerest good wishes to you, as you continue to lead the pack, leaving the jokers (STAR, MIRROR, etc.) behind. I have one wish only at this time: that the paper begin to show an even greater penchant for deep, investigative journalism, something Learie Carasco gave us a little taste of some decades ago, until he decided to have the Star replace the UWP “Vanguard” of the 60s. CONGRATS again. DONNA BAPTISTE.

Sincere congratulations on this achievement. Born since 1885 and serving readers till today, indicates to me that the Voice has learned to do something right.
It is the newspaper I choose to read, and share my perspetives with readers as time permits. Achievements like this is what you get with a team of workers like the Voice staffers. They are lifelong learners - always learning, always improving. I am pleased to be associated with this newsteam.
May the Voice grow from strength to strength.

Without a doubt the Voice is the premier paper on the Island.
Like us all Iwas momentarily bedazzled by the Star, but that has long since waned. Those dramatic headlines only to find little relevance in the body of the article.
Then we arrived in the vendetta era, and now there is only one media outlet that can rightly call it self a newspaper , and thats the "Voice"

In this particular era of the voice it has presented a more balanced copy.
And this was desperately needed, because the other newspapers,it is travesty to describe them as such.
