A catastrophic failure of Kenny's leadership skills. He fail to harness, skill, knowledge and ability.

What a shame. St.Lucia will be chastised by the alumni community for this.

This also has consequence for the country, in the international, financial and development arena.

In simple terms St.Lucia's government is a joker of cards, idiots and dumdum.

EN ROUGE TO BETTER DAYS!

What a tragedy! What are we now to think of our leaders here in St. Lucia where educated folks are concerned? What does that say about Kenny's leadership style? Something went wrong somewhere, and the PM must come to address the St. Lucian public about the wastage and loss of one of St.Lucia's greatest assets.

I am truly at a loss of words and there are still too many unanswered questions about this great loss to this small developing state. It is obvious that the Turks and Caicos understand and appreciate talent and experience for what it is.

That is a monumental loss. And imagine the stupidity of Kenny to wish him well instead of keeping him. The international financial and academic community must be shaking their heads. Kenny can only manage these idiots from UWI who were educated to be subservient. I would prefer Kenny to go and Unaldus Raymond to stay if I had a choice. Kenny is irrelevant.

I have defended Kenny Anthony on several occasions. However, the issue with Dr. Ubaldus Raymond resignation and the reason for his decision is one that I simply can't defend Dr. Kenny Anthony for.

I questioned both Ubaldus and Pep's assignment by our PM, and have wondered how far along would St. Lucia be if Ubaldus Raymond were to have held a position where his skills could have been best utilized.

We simply can't allow another qualified person to have their talents wasted again. Please Mr. PM let this serve as a lesson since people are questioning if you have really changed, and is also questioning if Fletcher is the one really leading this country and not Kenny Anthony. Our party is bleeding at this terrible loss in the person of Dr. Ubaldus Raymond.

Another promising son of Fair Helen will now use his talents to develop another country. When will we learn? Yet we complain that when our people leave they do not return. All the best to Dr. Raymond. I'm sure he'll do a great job wherever he goes.

From what we know with regard to the FACTS this gentleman resigned for many of the fundamental reasons that many opposed the failed Kenny Anthony Administration.

He recognizes that Kenny Anthony is an incompetent fiscal manager and an inept leader who only does what is good for Kenny or Tony and not St. Lucians.

Surrounder and brown nosed by the syncophants like Leo Clarke and the "out of their depth" Ministers such as Phillip Pierre the St. Lucian Prime Minister continues his breakdown of St. Lucia at a faster and faster pace.

Ubaldus got out while the getting was good !

Unfortunately St. Lucians cannot all leave St. lucia to the destructive ways of Kenny and the SLP.

Summer heat, mosquitos, hurricanes, no jobs, rising prices, VAT and Kenny !

This sure is a long summer!

The SLP government has proven to be the best among all governments. It must be reiterated that we are imperfect human beings, which makes PM Kenny and Fletcher imperfect as well. However, I am totally opposed to what is happening in my government.

We worked hard as a team and won the elections from the corrupt group of UWPees, and it is time that the team is consulted on important matters of the State. WE ARE GIVING THE UWPees TOO MUCH AMUNITION AGAINST US. Kenny, you need to stop the repeat of gross mistakes that you started during your last administration and even now. The vindictiveness and victimization of persons with strong minds and willpower must end now. Mr.PM, I have defended you and supported you but you need to do things better and differently. I am concerned, should the UWP find a way of mobilizing the support of qualified people (like we did-TEAM LABOUR) to join their ranks...indeed they can snatch the win from us. If Fletcher (a PhD Horticulturist and LaCorb were able to secure key ministerial positions what about Dr. Raymond, Pep and others. We fought long and hard on the brutal battlefield of Ti-canal projects and Taiwanese millions to UWPees but we made it through. Now it appears that positions of significance and power belong to only a clan(a selected few) who enjoyed a lives of relaxation and privilege. By the way, who is running this government is it Fletcher who is counted among the clan of privileged or is it Kenny D Anthony? Sorry to see Dr. Raymond leave...I am pissed! Kenny couldn't you have done something, anything to utilize the skills of this young man. Were there any negotiations to convince him to stay and if not, WHY?

Like Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and Fidel and Raul Castro of Cuba, Kenny Anthony is a ruthless dictator, and an enemy of democracy. He believes that Saint Lucia belongs to him and all Saint Lucians must yield to his demands or else he will destroy them with propaganda. Propaganda was the chief machinery used by Hitler in his destruction of the Jews in Germany. Be wary Saint Lucians of Kenny Anthony and his propaganda! You have the heard him speak, and you have heard all the false allegation he makes just to incite hatred against those he has chosen to hate. Just weeks ago, he referred to supporters of the United Workers Party as “the enemy” and “a cult”. This is the same man who weeks before called for unity and offered to the opposition an olive branch.

I am simply angry at this loss in our party, in our government. I was simply unaware of Dr. Raymond's qualification and experience until I heard it from our Press Secretary. Why Mr.PM, Why? This man should have been placed and used in a ministry so all St. Lucians could have benefited from his expertise. I was born and raised as a Labourite but will simply not vote until I see better and more refined leadership in my party. Emma for leader!

Anonymous said...

Maybe Dr. Raymond can find some eagles he can soar with. This bunch was not for him. Talking about all the politicians in St. Lucia, not just SLP.

Anonymous said...

I am just angry at my party for this gross injustice to us St.Lucians, that is, allowing Dr.Raymond to leave with no effort to retain him. The Prime Minister in the Press Release states clearly that Dr. Raymond will make St.Lucia proud in the Turks and Caicos...damn stupidity are we not worthy of benefiting from a qualified man of the soil. I am an ashamed, angry, bitter, disappointed Labourite. Hope there are not another qualified one to leave especially not Pep/Dr.Long. Five years is a long time so I do hope that my party will consider having Dr. Raymond to be a part of the SLP regime but not under the leadership of Dr. Anthony because he has a history of not doing very well in forgiving anyone who has challenged him.

If this guy had love for country he would stay and share his ideas with Emma and the rest>he complain about not attending cabinet meetings.he should know only ministers attend. He is pissed he was not made a full fledged minister over emma and that is the bottom line.I think that phd think gets in there head.most think they hv to lead others.HE WILL LEARN AS HE GROWS OLDER WITH TIME.Good luck

The SLP's victimization of Sarah Flood Beaubrun has come back to haunt them.

Kenny Anthony's arrogance when faced with a different viewpoint from the only minsiter who was successfully implementing her tasks is now still evident in how he runs his failing Administration.

After fixing Victoria's A&E Dept and bring it to a world class standard and saving St. Lucian's lives, starting the first shelter for Abused Women, bringing attention to mental health issues, starting the first successful Mother to Child HIV prevention program, managing and opening the Bordelais Correctional Facility on time and on budget - the Kenny Anthony Administration then fired this brilliant woman because she was not a "butt kisser" like the other female minister in that Administration.

St. Lucia is paying the price as Kenny's arrogance, incompetence, fiscal madness and "Kenny first, second and last" attitude is on display for all to see.

At least we can respect Ubaldus for showing a little of Sarah's courage in dealing with the SLP failure.

Who cares with all your negative ideas whether slp or uwp. The blogger who said she was born and raised labour, and emma should be leader. Emma does not take what it is to be any leader. I don't see any of them as being leader. All the persons who put their jobs at risk campaigning for the labour party you want them to sideline them. Make a run you moron.

Anonymous said...

sorry make a round.

I am a strong Uwp supporter and i must say, listening to this gentleman and getting to know what i know now, my admiration for him has grown. He apposed certain parts of the budget with good reasons risking himself knowing the kind of man Kenny is. Mr raymond your campaign didnt do justice to you and the fact that you put country before self and politics by apposing your own party, i will give you a second look anytime. I wish you well in your future endeavors and i am happy you left this clan whilst your hands are clean.

It doesn't matter if one is a Labour or a UWP supporter the fact of the matter is that the best leaders in the SLP are Pip and Emma. Noone can compare with those two individuals.

It is obvious that we have lost a truly qualified son of the soil. The big question is who is to be blamed for Dr. Raymond's resignation? Is it Kenny the PM or Fletcher the Minister, since rumor has it that Fletcher is the one with the most power and decision making authority in this government?

I had an opportunity to read Dr. Raymond's qualification and experience, and this man was obviously best suited for the position of Minister for Energy, Technology & Science. My party has made a major faux pas, and this will hang over our heads till next election. We worked hard to get to where we are, and why is that we are trying extra hard to destroy our success at the polls. PM Kenny, please do the necessary reshuffle in your cabinet because things are not looking good for us.

Kenny doesn't want anybody smarter than himself around. Period.

Anonymous said...

Kenny ia a know bobolist,so if there is one that is smarter than him or a bigger crook than him that person got to go.He was so afraid of Ubaldus he NEVER give him a proper position. Me chou are.

Anonymous said...

There are not too many people who are not smarter than Kenny.

Look at the issue at hand
1: The guy broke, cannot finiance his campaign
2: He lost badly to the most uneducated guy in the UWP
3: The freaking guy think he better than anyone.
4: He could not even get his name mention on a talk show.
5: The rules are, if you are broke and cannot win a seat. Then you have kiss A$$. Plain and Simple.

As a Labour-ite from the womb, all I can do is shake my head & say, When all is said and done, effective governance involves finding the best fit vis-à-vis candidates' qualifications and vacant positions, to the exclusion of personal feelings about said candidate. But then again, "Even Jesus came unto His own and they knew Him not."

To the detractors, not everyone can live comfortably in sublime mediocrity, as a square peg in a round hole. Some aspect of one's being is always unfulfilled if one does not measure up or live up to his/her full potential. Bear in mind that Dr. Raymond has already sacrificed so much for his country in order to have abandoned his metropolitan lifestyle to return here to contest elections. Having lived overseas, I confess, returning to St. Lucia and readjusting to the mindset of small-island life, was to put it mildly, a harrowing experience.

I wish Dr. Raymond every success in his future endeavours. I wish him God's speed & it is my hope that He continues to be the plumb line by which Dr. Raymond measures his actions ... To the remnant, remember it is written: Pride goes before destruction & a haughty spirit before a fall. ~ (Proverbs 16:18).

To the population at large, pray for your leaders (not for their demise) but that their policies may be inspired and guided by God, that you as a nation, would lead a peaceable existence. Don't be fooled, whether you voted a party in or not, they are your government's leaders for the next 5 years. Bear in mind too that regardless of who is in power at any one time, the policies implemented often have far-reaching repercussions, some of them stretching far past the end of that political term. So I once again urge you St. Lucians, to pray for your leaders, that they will be guided by God's wisdom in all of their decisions. May God's grace & mercy continue to be extended towards Saint Lucia & its citizens.

you can't pray for the Devil!

I have the faith in my God that this is the beginning of great things to come for Dr. Raymond. He saw mediocrity and he cried foul, and there is nothing wrong with that. In this 21st century and financial crunch we need better governance and accountability from our leaders. Emma can provide the quality of leadership we need and deserve in this country.

All the best Dr. Raymond, and we are looking forward to you making your contribution in your country...you are truly a man of character and integrity, and those qualities are absent in most persons in politics. What about the good old Dr. Robert Lewis, what is his take on the matter?

Anonymous said...

Blogger above, I asked myself the same question "what about Dr. Lewis, and how does he feel about his colleague and brother in Christ? Dr. Lewis was so popular before the elections, and now Fletcher appears to have more power and popularity than him.

I will admit unabashedly that I am a Labour supporter and prefers not to vote than vote for UWP. I am really disappointed with Kenny because he has started showing off his not so nice personality. We (SLP)will survive the boboos of leaders like Kenny D Anthony.

Anonymous said...

Dr. Raymond, you are not cut for politics, you are too good for that. I am proud of you not getting corrupted by evils of politics. I always admire your seriousness and your uprightness, now I am even prouder of you. Please make us proud out there.

Anonymous said...

Kenny mwe mem, choops!!! Kenny what do you expect St. Lucians to think and say about you especially with this faux par you made about the decision to not utilize fully the skills of Dr. Raymond. Kenny me with you...you are creating your own hell hole and allowing Fletcher to pull you faster down hell hole.

Please Mr. PM, I am willing to forgive you on the Dr. Raymond's issue but please do take this leadership thing seriously. Remember how we criticized the UWP and rightfully so...let's not repeat their mistakes. Mr. PM please do not allow anyone to push you into making decisions that are obviously malicious, and selfish because Dr. Raymond's treatment by you was indeed malicious and selfish on your part.

UB(Dr. Raymond), What's going down there in your small island. I remember you were one of those who couldn't tolerate the idea that your people operates from small island mentalities. Your government and those who criticize you (a man of such integrity and quality)are obviously functioning at base levels. Hope you don't mind me saying this again...all the best man. Your friend always, UF

Is there more to this story than meets the eye? Everyone is going off on anybody and it simply states that Dr. Raymond resigned; he left people. It happens every minute in this world; people leave one job for another. Quit being the fan to the flame. I applaud him for getting his education and plan to do the same when I graduate with my degree in Dentistry- return home and start a practice. Should we all ran away from the problems, they will never be resolved. I currently reside in Florida and try to keep informed of the happenings back home, so if I am missing the point here, please enlighten me. It would be nice if Dr. Raymond would clear the air.
