What global warming? As a regular visitor to your beautiful island, I have seen all the wet and dry seasons and so far nothing but normal climatic conditions. There is strong documental evidence there has been no global in the last 15 to 20 years only natural climate variation. There is also strong evidence that more CO2 is good for plant growth and also it has been seen from satellites that there is 20% more greening of the planet as to only 3.5% getting browner.

Wow it its comments like these that are the reasons climatic changes are occuring. With increasing deforestation globally including in st lucia in our quest for development without considering factors such as affecting watersheds and runoff causing landslides and increasing temperatures causing more destructive weather patterns e.g hurricane ivan not too long ago. One can take the path of ignorance like the above comment or start facing facts. The EU is doing be setting targets to reduce co2 emissions by 25% by 2050 based on 1990 levels. Bric countries are beginning to act, the impact of the yangtze dam built in china causing eutrophication leading to loss of wildlifeand biodiversity on a mind boggling scale.

If climate change didnt exist and was "increasing plany growth" like the above would developed countries and examples like the above ne happening.

As a local st lucian it is ignorant comments like this that make locals believe measures like sustainable tourism, waste management and just being a good lucian arent for the betterment of OUR island.

WE are the people whos island is at risk, therefore only WE as a people have a right to judge.

If you have any problems take it up in YOUR country!!
